      You built your own as well? Very cool man! It's nice relating to other people in the buggy world. 😎 I appreciate the kind words!

    As a west coast crawler/builder, we have very similar playlists. I dig that.

      That's awesome man. I would imagine our Playlists have way more overlapping than just what you hear. Ha. I don't think I could get a damn thing done with out some tunes blaring.

    I probably would build things adjustable. Or make a tool that can help me. Holding things in place with clamps and strong magnets for example. Maybe this can help you on your next build many years later, like the holder for the fire extinguisher... ; )

    Hey what wall thickness is your tube ???

    • @Lowbouncer
      @Lowbouncer  2 роки тому +1

      .120 wall. I've done some 188 on the roof of the green buggy, but that stuff is so heavy. 120 will protect you, and if it gets so beat up from a roll that you think it isn't safe, it can be replaced.

    Do you usually buy a parts buggy and build around them?
    Last buggy I had was a nightmare. I should have disassembled it completely, new chassis, then went through each system before installing.
    Instead I redesigned everything on an awfull chassis, made too many compromises and had crap results in the end and a $10k parts receipt.

      Oh gotchya, that's a bummer man. What did you end up doing?
      This was just a plan I had this go around. I tried to find a buggy with a decent enough chassis that people would have interest in it after I disassembled it.
      This was a way for me to get axles, motor, transmission, tcase, and tires in 1 quick purchase. I've still bought plenty of odd end parts. I want the new build to be pretty fresh looking. If some component bugs me because of it's looks/age, I just buy new.

    Would you be interested in building a Toyota based chassis?

    • @Lowbouncer
      @Lowbouncer  3 роки тому

      I would if I had time man. I usually just do this for myself and friends. It would be cool if this was my fulltime gig, but it's not.

    now I wanna see a video on how to get inside, why not make a door?

      I've been getting in and out of these for 10 years. Fully welded bars are stronger and safer than hinged doors.
