10 HOURS to install wheels and wife gets BRAND NEW CAR
Hey man, I really enjoy your videos I’m thinking about getting into a bouncer eventually I would love to pick your brain to get some insight on these machines.
Glad to hear that! I love the hobby.
What's the wheelbase on this one?
Around 122.
Great work 👏
Thanks!
What size Tubing did you use to build the chassis
1.75"
I fabricated my own Rock Bouncer RC 1/10 Scale Rig I’d like to build a real one
Well heck, I say do it! It's a commitment, but I enjoy the process.
@@Lowbouncer I don’t have a shop to do it in yet lol
@@erazco6568 yea, that's step 1. 😄
Hello, Glad I ran into this, I'm planning on building something similar with an S-10 or ford Ranger. Thanks for sharing....
Sounds like a fun project to me! Good luck man!
What kind of engine and transmission in building a rock bouncer ?
Most use fuel injected Chevy v8s. Transmissions are typically th400s or th350s.
@@Lowbouncer thank you for idea Sir .
The design of the cage is next level. Well done man 🍻 do you use any kind of hole saw system when fitting the tubing together, or do yo just cut it in with an AG? I didn’t see an footage of a hole saw set up and saw you working with an AG a lot so I wasn’t sure if that was your primary method of cutting the ends of the tubing or not
Well thank you so much man. I've used a cheap hole saw in my drill press for straight copes before on repeat pieces of tubing. On this chassis I think I did the whole thing with an angle grinder. My hole saw is dull so I said screw it. I'm honestly pretty fast with the angle grinder, I prefer it.
I need more video's, please build another buggy soon!!
It's actually a possibility. If the channel was my full-time job, I would have had multiple from scratch builds on here already. I'm just so dang busy with my career and other responsibilities. 🫤
Мне бы твоё хобби.🔥
Cool! How much did the tubing cost? Any idea?
Please tell me where I can see the project?
I feel privileged that the square body made the video
She's an absolute beaut!
I ❤ the Loo, your family, and I swear your parents do not age! Love this video!
Well thanks, they probably won't mind hearing that! 😄 Yes, I love Waterloo too. 🥰🤘
Any interest in selling either of the bouncers ??
Not at the moment. It was worth asking though.
As a hose fitter in current times, its arguably better to start crimping hoses in of using reusables
Wow, that's my dream right there to build me something like this.
Go for it buddy!
Out of curiosity how many feet of tube is in that buggy?
I don't know exactly, but 200-220 feet probably.
Evacuation vehicals...
I sell cornwell tools a 1:05 nd build Bullhide 4x4 and Fraser yacht charters and sales!
I do all this stuff and sell Cornwell tool the standard that all standard are set by Fraser yacht charter and sales bullhide 4x4 love ya and congregation 😊😊with you family!!!
Looks like good friends and lots of fun
Haha, I'd say you're correct!
Would you consider building another one of these chassis?
My schedule is pretty insane. What state are you in?
@@Lowbouncer I’m in NJ
Love the build man. Would you consider selling a blueprint or diagram on the chassis. Looking to build one and yours is the best I really like
Thanks a lot, man. I don't have blueprints for it.
Lovin the rock bouncer rehabs !! Everytime you get another one to rebuild, i yell out "he got another one to fix up and i still haven't finished mine !!" lol. keep up the good work man, sick ! Cant wait to see what you start next
Glad you enjoy them man! I wish I could film more of the process and do more builds, but time is not on my side.
May I know the diameter of the structure pipe?
1.75" tubing
👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥
Maybe temperature would show more of a difference....like under 70° Or perhaps the warmer it is, the more greasy the stickys get? (Or over 90° and the hard compound starts working?) I only have the budget for rc rock crawlers, but my experience has been, if it's hot, you want a harder compound, because the softer one gets too squishy
Stickies show their strength if you heat them up on wet boulders/ ledges. This video was pretty pointless but we got a good laugh out of it. 😄
Any chance that you sell cut files for the chassis you build. I know this ones not yours originally. Im referring to the red one with grey digi-glamoflauge. I love the style
Thanks a lot man. I don't have any files for that. It's just what I've picked up over the years. Even what I've liked and disliked with my own work in the past.
@Lowbouncer ah ok, I gotcha. I've only built rigs that began as a truck or jeep. I'm starting my 1st bouncer/crawler chassis from scratch, so I'm looking for as much info to reference as possible. Thanks for the timely reply anyway.
Buenas quero preguntarle si tiene las medidas me gustaria fabricar uno graciad
Hello, I can see your off road car
The guy hardly ever posts videos of crawling in these things. Its mostly just videos of a guy showing his collection of clean, flawless bouncers in mall-crawl condition...and the part of me that daydreams about powerball tickets loves it.
Is this the one that flipped and the cage collapsed?
Dude... no. Lol The amount of differences is too long to list. Most importantly being, this is a jimmy smith chassis.
Looking good
Thanks, metal work is nearing the end.
Nice
Thank ya!
Nice build. Get rid of the music.
That colour looks like RAL5002 ultra marine blue, I had a trailer powder coated in the same colour.
Oh, right on. Beautiful color, but the years of people enjoying the buggy had taken its toll on it. Haha.
Those are only double bypasses with the single compression and rebound tube
They were listed as triple bypasses when I purchased the buggy and I didn't even count the tubes. Haha I'm honestly not the type of guy to build a buggy and purchase them for it. I don't know how to tune those for my benefit and they are freaking huge.
I saw a guy doing similar with insert.....he cut a narrow groove an inch or so in the tube...tacked a nail or something to the insert ( it could retract into the groove and when he had the tube where he wanted it....he just used the nail to slide the insert in place...it worked a bit like a barrel bolt for a gate
That's a nifty idea too. It definitely requires you to get a little creative.
Who makes the custom rings?
A guy named Josh bishop is who made them for me.
need to air them tires down boy esp since you got beadlocks. we run 0-3 psi in the snow
Haha. They're probably 5-6 in this.
Great channel...enjoy the content and your designs and ideas are wonderful....people who have never done it have no idea how chewy the details get and the little things that drive you crazy. I am building my first buggy as we speak and while I'm a relatively experienced welder...tube welding is a challenge appearance wise on the best of days. One minute you are running a bead that you know is gonna look great, then the mig gun spits or you get in a weird position and bang.....a weld that needs reworking
I love hearing about other people building buggies! Yea, round tube welding is it's own skill set. You absolutely need to be able to see clearly through your hood too. Lol thanks so much for the kind words!
Cute kid!
I think so, but I'm biased! 😄
Hell ya keep building them buddy
I'm trying man. 😄
@@Lowbouncer well they are all looking really good coming out the shop man !!👌
@@Brandobuilt-p8l thanks so much!
You can always pass a rock bouncer on to me. I’m sure we could trade something… 2 long punches would work to line up the spacers so you can start the first 2 bolts
255C love mine, just added the Spot/Timer Board a couple years back, my Favorite out of 8 welders I have
That's awesome buddy! You've dealt with a larger variety than me, glad to hear your opinion. I still love mine.
Y’all are having wayyy too much fun…
Haha, we don't have to try too hard.
Do you use dry sump systems in your builds?
What a cool dad!
I hope he had ear protection, tinnitus isn't fun i had it for 35 years.
