Jimmy Smith Rock Bouncer final walk around!
How do i get a hold of you to talk about buying a chassis.
It's not my full-time job. At the moment, I'm building another one for myself. I don't have any extra time. I apologize, but thanks for asking.
Yes sir thank you for getting back to me very quick. I have a crawler on 47s but I want to re-do it and make it a low bouncer like yours. I love the way yours looks. Thanks for all the awesome content on your videos.
rock buggy look like over size go kart to me
Pretty much.
@@Lowbouncer ok
Can't wait to see progress on the new chassis!
You and me both!
so, is the blue chassis for sale or does it already have a new owner?
Hey, good question. It ended up selling very quickly. It has a new owner currently.
Someone’s got some money
🤘 sweet build bro everything looks clean. Did younuse wideopendesigns ?
Thanks a lot! Sorry, what do you mean use them? I probably ordered a couple brackets or mounts from them if that's what you were getting at.
The frame is so badass 😎😎🔥🔥
Thank you so much!
what is the engine type ?
388 sbc.
Thats crazy, you have the same beadlock rings as my buddies bouncer, which is strange becasue they dont make them anymore. Guessing your car is about 10 years old?
Oh, that's awesome. I wonder if i would recognize the buggy. But no, I bought these rings brand new in March. I built this red buggy from scratch in early 2022. So it's also a fairly new build.
Looks awesome but I think it'd look meaner on black wheels black rings jus my opinion but great work as always
I originally bought new black wheels for the red buggy. Ran them for over a year. It's definitely a tough look.
How do we contact?
It ended up selling very quickly.
Please tell me how to contact you✋🏻
Nicely done…as always
Thank you sir!
Which car axles are you using?
I put a high pinion 60 and Sterling 10.25 in this buggy.
@ I am interested and where can I write to you?
How much does this project cost?
It depends on how much you do yourself.
Sweet bouncers !!! One day i will build are buy one
Thanks! Nice, you can make it happen!
CAN'T BELIEVE YOUR BENDING TUBE MANUALLY!!! BUILDS CHARACTER I GUESS???
Haha, yep.
Destin is my hometown, but it’s ironic that I’m in Missouri now which I have no doubt you’re within the region from your other videos. What parks are you normally hitting?
Haha, that's neat. I love that area down there. Im actually in Southern Illinois, but you're correct about the region. Moonlight is the most local. I've been to Flat Nasty a few times. Pruitt Mountain, once. Badlands is only a few hours away, but I haven't been there since the 1800s.
@ haven’t hit those parks yet, but someday. Need to get into the buggy game first and looking to find a solid chassis. Keep making videos because I might just build my own at this point 👌
Frame size plz
1.75" o.d.
How much would you charge to build a chassis
I appreciate you asking, but I don't have time to do it.
Man... you got some badass rides! How much would one of those cost as a rolling chassis? Basically ready for someone to install engine, trans and harness
Thanks! I'm not sure how much that would be. You'd have to look up some shops that build them. I just build them for fun.
Nice Clip Guys!
It's not much. In person, we did a lot more. 😆 Thanks for checking it out.
How do yall like the mickeys compare to the tsl's?
I think they work great. They are absolutely shorter than an SX 43 though. I don't think any tire will top a sticky sx. A non cut USD is impressive because it can do some digging right out of the box , but the lugs get beat up much quicker.
Nice video, good action ! Moonlight looks like a nice park
Thanks man! I've been riding solo a lot for a couple of years. I can hardly get any riding footage. The park trails are much better than I can ever show.
@@Lowbouncer I need to check it out sometime, it looks like 4.5 hour drive. Gotta get you a gopro and mount it on the chassis, that way you could get some footage !
I watched. I run a YJ on 47's after our son graduate's college I hope to build me a bouncer.
Oh, right on man! I enjoy building buggies. Just never enough hours in a day.
😱😱😱😱😱🫡🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️👌👌👌👌👍👍👍
Haw do you make this project?
Lots of labor!
Use WD 40 on tape or sticker residue
Thanks for the tip!
Would you be interested in another Jimmy Smith buggy?
In purchasing one? Possibly.
How can I contact you ?
Mine is a really popular one
@johnscoggins7490 send me an email with a few pics and details. Thanks a lot!
Good one buddy
Thank ya!
👍👍👍
Thanks!
We really wanted to see him send that rocket to the moon!
😆 it caught some hang time, but we didn't get it on video.
Love the videos! Saw the one you just sold and was so tempted.
Oh, no kidding!? Cool man! I appreciate it!
I was wondering what happened to this buggy. I was eyeing it for a few weeks
Oh, right on. It's turned out to be a great purchase. I'll try to get a video up soon of the current status of it.
Is there any way to get insurance on these rigs? It’s hard for me to drop 40k on one and have a total loss if it burned in the woods.
👍👍👍
As always, enjoyed the video. Wish I could afford one, but almost done with my new 42’x45’ shop. That means I can start back on Chevelle and Duster. Cheers.
That shop is large! Sounds good, man.
Merhaba bunlarin cizimi yada pirojesi ne nerden ulaşırım yardimci olurmusunuz
Any chance you and I can chat about a chassis build?
For me to possibly build one? I honestly just don't have the time. 😐
Got boss I’m tackling a very similar project, first chassis I’m building what steel are you using or recommend
Hey man, I really enjoy your videos I’m thinking about getting into a bouncer eventually I would love to pick your brain to get some insight on these machines.
Glad to hear that! I love the hobby.
What's the wheelbase on this one?
Around 122.
Great work 👏
Thanks!
What size Tubing did you use to build the chassis
1.75"
I fabricated my own Rock Bouncer RC 1/10 Scale Rig I’d like to build a real one
Well heck, I say do it! It's a commitment, but I enjoy the process.
@@Lowbouncer I don’t have a shop to do it in yet lol
@@erazco6568 yea, that's step 1. 😄
Hello, Glad I ran into this, I'm planning on building something similar with an S-10 or ford Ranger. Thanks for sharing....
Sounds like a fun project to me! Good luck man!
What kind of engine and transmission in building a rock bouncer ?
Most use fuel injected Chevy v8s. Transmissions are typically th400s or th350s.
@@Lowbouncer thank you for idea Sir .
The design of the cage is next level. Well done man 🍻 do you use any kind of hole saw system when fitting the tubing together, or do yo just cut it in with an AG? I didn’t see an footage of a hole saw set up and saw you working with an AG a lot so I wasn’t sure if that was your primary method of cutting the ends of the tubing or not
Well thank you so much man. I've used a cheap hole saw in my drill press for straight copes before on repeat pieces of tubing. On this chassis I think I did the whole thing with an angle grinder. My hole saw is dull so I said screw it. I'm honestly pretty fast with the angle grinder, I prefer it.
I need more video's, please build another buggy soon!!
It's actually a possibility. If the channel was my full-time job, I would have had multiple from scratch builds on here already. I'm just so dang busy with my career and other responsibilities. 🫤
