But i really wanted to buy the epic and ended up buying it two years later and i love these two so much better than the new ones in the market.
I personally prefer these over Ultra Boosts (or anything else for that matter) any day. These are the most comfortable shoes ever FOR ME. They just fit and feel perfectly in my case.

I actually think the Odyssey actually performs better than the Epic. Ive run close to 150 miles in the Epic React and just got the Odyssey react when it dropped and I am in LOVE with it for my runs My speed is a bit fast and recovery time is shorter its weird but it def feels more plush and the upper change is welcome for me. I love both and would say I prefer React cushioning over boost but this time Nike really hit the home run with performance and the Odyssey.
I got both and personally I felt the Epic React feels better as it fits the top of your foot more than the Odyssey React. The Epic also looks a bit more premium (personal thought) and looks better with slim cutting Jeans with its slimmer looking (the ankle side of Odyssey is a little chunkier than the Epic). I like both but then the Epic are more expensive for a reason.
I also liked your review, especially the better flexibility on the epic react because of less rubber. And flyknit feels better than the neoprene material

The Epic React dug in to the medial side of my lower heel when i put it on and it hurt, even going half a size up which was all they had. But I think it was due to that rigid heel counter and no other type of padding in the Epic React, didnt cop. I think the Odyssey would be much more up my alley, but I think the Epic looks just a little bit sharper and I do like it aesthetically just a bit more.
I’ve been waiting until I get more wear out of my old Lunar Epics before I buy a pair of React runners. I was waiting to get a detailed explanation as to why the Epic React was higher in price than the Odyssey. But after this video, it looks like I’m better off getting the latter.
Still a neutral running silhouette the only stability shoe they now sell are the structure. Can’t wait to try on the new Pegasus 35 with full length zoom and then the Pegasus 35 turbo with zoomx
Tried both, bought two pairs of Odyssey at the end, gotta say I agree with everything you have mentioned in the video. Epic react feels like a faster shoes but wiggle too much for my liking (Esp I do lots of footwork drills), Odyssey just feel like a very normal traditional shoes. Only wish the Odyssey would come in a little less snug though, 'cause half a size up is really a bit too long at the toe for sharp turn responsiveness in my case, guess I will just have to break them in over time.

The Flyknit version is super light though... does the Odyssey feel like they added a bit of weight? Personally I love the fit of the flyknit and it feels like it will hold up well over time.

๋ีMy old pair of running shoes came apart over the weekend and after quite a few hours of research and comparison, I was planning to check out Sketchers Gorun Ride 7 first and then Nike Epic React as the second option. Sadly this being Thailand (although Bangkok which is the capital), the Sketchers flagship store didn't have Gorun Ride 7 for women yet and the men's smallest size was still way too big for me. I then went to check out Nike since the shops were side by side. Funny thing, even with so much hype over Epic React, when I tried them on I didn't feel comfortable at all since they were too snug for comfort. I also didn't like the thin 'sock-like' feel but I really liked the cushion and bounciness of the react foam. The staff then recommended me to try the Odyssey React and voila, it was like something I totally never saw coming but they were really comfortable and even when I had to go a full size up, the fit felt great. It was only after jogging a bit in them and purchasing them did I checked out the review and came across yours. Very nice review by the way. Now I'm more confident in the bad boys I bought and don't regret my decision to not give in to the hype (that was Epic React). Can't wait to take my new pair of shoes to hit the road!

as a canadian, the ultraboost retails for $240, nike epic react $200. So nike having the odyssey for $165 here is amazing, undercuts both shoes and will probably be my next purchase once my asic kayano's are done for. Definitely could not justify spending over $200 for shoes, but the odyssey is exactly what I need now
I felt that the epic react is better to run, after a while the odyssey start to press the ankles, and it is a little heavier. And besides what people say, the sole of the epic doesn't change, just the visual characteristic of it. But yeah, both are really good options, and way better than ultra-boost if u ask me.

I don't feel any shock wearing react shoes，great shock absorption. But I feel like boost got more bouncy return.

since iam not a fan of full flyknit upper, the Nike Odyssey React is for me.

Epic React weighs in lighter (just barely) but the Odyssey feels lighter in hand. No significant weight difference.
I wish they made the black/white version a little less plain/basic. The red colorway is the best aesthetically IMO.
