Geoff showed us a whole new side to himself with this one. (Ahem). We get hints at his sense of humor here and there, and other than Monster Mash we haven't seen him dance since Boy Bands Medley and Cheerleader with VoicePlay ... but in this one he really let loose in such a fun way. And the vocals! Mama Mia! He said it took him 80 takes to get that last note, a C1.
I think if I had had a mirror in front of me while I watched this for the first time my face would’ve looked like yours did’ glee, total glee, with a few giggles added in. But I don’t know because I had to stop it over and over again because I was laughing so hard. This is just sheer fun. It’s a total departure for him, especially after Ain’t No Sunshine which was pure angst. Thoroughly enjoyed your reaction. Do you check out the name tags on nerd and the slackers over there. They are variations of some of the many ways people either mispronounce or misspell his name.
We call it a dustpan. :) That was the last song Elvis recorded before he died I believe. And Geoff heard it, wanted to do it, especially that last note done by one of Elvis' backing singers. It took Geoff 80 attemyps to achieve it. The man is determined if nothing else. :) And a lot of fun. Great reaction.

Nice reaction I remember the original quite well (not my sort of stuff though) I’m a 70 year old guitarist who likes anything music from Classical to Metal! My attitude is‘Growing old is unavoidable, Growing up is optional’ OK, you’ve also been doing reactions to some of my favourite performers - you have a new subscriber!

This is the last song Elvis released before he died. I watch the BTS video and he had so much fun making this one. Rocking out custodian reminds me of Tom Cruise in Risky Business. The clone's name tags are Goff, Jeoph, and Jeff. Took him eighty takes to hit that last low note. Was a C1. Jeoph Slurped the toilet brush and Jeff is eating popcorn out of the dustpan.
Geoff said it took him 80 takes to hit that C1 at the end.

The word is "dustpan" in the Midwest. Stuff like that often has regional differences in terminology, however, so I wouldn't be surprised if other terms are used elsewhere in the English-speaking world.

Oh, Samantha, I forgot to mention that Aurora's birthday is in 2 days ! She'll be 26 on June 15 ! So maybe you could do another reaction video on her birthday and upload it ? That'll be wonderful... last year, a lot of youtubers did that, too... if you are too busy, it's no problem, of course.
You may not have recognized the song because it was the very last song he recorded and I believe it was released after his death. I know it didn’t hit the charts until after his death. I did go watch the original. Unfortunately it was a production where he was not at his best. I don’t know whether I thought it was more sad or more comical but the entire production he was disentangling the microphone cord from that fringe that he always wore on those jumpsuits.
