This film reflects exactly my thoughts on the band. They were very badly handled by stiff and Dave Robinson. This was a real shame as the BS were a very interesting band and could/should have achieved a lot more.
Wow!! After knowing their background, they are not your ordinary girls! They all have beauty, talent, and brains! I just wish they lasted long and made more albums. I wish they would also reunite.
These ladies were all wonderful musicians and personalities, as well as talented songwriters. I only got a small "Taste" of them in America with Sign Of The Times and the one album.Stiff obviously went the wrong direction in trying to make them something they weren't... An "All Girl Cover Band". They could have and should have been much more! I can't believe the song "Is This The Night" was never even released... It is probably my favorite song of theirs!
they was an amazing band then and the music and fab memories carry on, thank you for taking us back to a great time. I bunked off school to see this, Loved all theirs songs, and the songs they wrote was better than the covers!!!
Fascinating documentary. A group with a lot of talent and ideas. They have left us some great records but it's a shame things did not work out for them long-term.
Jennie, the singer, is 'redtreasure1' who still sings and who commented below. SJ is living in the USA, Stella in France, Lesley runs a PR company in London, Judy in Edinburgh, Clare is a sax player in London, Miranda is a famous make-up artist in London.
This is priceless footage to us Bellestars, thank you so much for putting it up x

"we can't make a living just playing gigs these days." Man, have the times changed. Fantastic video. Great band. Thanks for the upload!

Absolutely loved Miranda Joyce.
Great band, super talented artists and brilliant personalities. Travesty they never lasted longer and made it bigger.
Fascinating documentary, thanks for uploading...
They were awesome, summer 1983, their song Indian Summer brilliant
Although I do love their cover versions, I really wish they had been given much more
support for their own "self-penned songs".
Dunno how this lot didn't go on to greater things. They made superb records and were very nice to look at.

I wonder why Sweet Memory wasn’t on the album if the song was around in early 1982.
