Billy Rowan, aka The Undercover Hippy, is definitely not your average singer songwriter. His music brings together acoustic guitar, soulful vocals, infectious reggae rhythms, and the lyrical delivery of a skilled mc. After 7 years spent DJ’ing and MC’ing on the Drum & Bass circuit, Billy swapped the decks for a guitar and started out as a solo act in 2007.

Ha! Thanks man. Re Ren: Maybe, maybe not. Definitely there's a whole new generation of young musicians out there taking on the whole singer/mc vibe and running with it, which is awesome. And if I inspired them, even better! When I started doing it back in 2004 it was pretty edgy... how times change! But I never dropped a song/video combo as good as "Hey Ren"... that's why Ren is killing it... right song, right video, right time 🙌🔥
@@undercoverhippy 2004! I'm really looking forwards, or should I say backwards to inhaling your back catalogue. I'm only about 20 tracks in, and loving it. Yeah, you're totally right, with the right sound/video, time thing, that's blowing Ren up, and I think he's a musical/lyrical master...BUT... You sir, have just shit loads more empathy towards humanity! Thank you, so much for replying on this 10 year old comment thread. That says a lot about you.

The solution is to abolish wage slavery.
+John Bush Abolish money and make it illegal. The solution is a resource based economy. Where everyone gets what they need. And leave them with stacks of pieces of paper or random numbers.
John Bush yes this would be good but this is possible and already thought of and may even happen in the future. if we can get to a point where wcm (world class manufactoring) can exist at a low cost run mostly automated then the government councils will be able to eventually afford to pay everyone a flat monthly rate possibly regardless of disability or mental health which wouldn't be good and we would still all be hooked on to the control of money so its not a solution even if wage slavery is abolished but a nice thought.. plus... a lot of people enjoy working for platic, paper or online money... try stopping them all but it's a nice thought I suppose
