I wouldn't call the N serie engines particularly reliable tho, ofcourse it comes down to how has it been treated during its life, maintenance etc But with the experience I have with the n54, stories read about other people their experience, the N54/N55 would be the last engine I would swap in a e36. especially when you can build a M50 turbo for probably like then this swap
I’ve done this swap in my e46, it took me and the mad scientist about a month to complete. Mostly all factory parts too 🙂. I have a how to video on my page.

Its an M2 engine, not an M2 Competition engine. You said it over and over incorrectly. They have an S55, Completely different engines.

but the m2 competition uses an s55, n55 is in the OG m2
Make sure it has a upgraded sump if n55
