I'm glad to hear you're not going to use that second hand crankshaft, that would have been a quick way to spin another bearing. Second hand engine components are never worth the risk!
Quest Absolutely! I’m working on a more detailed video about the build, which is nearly complete. Be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already done so! 👍
Just a private seller on eBay, but I won't be using it in the rebuild. No point saving money on such an important part when I can get new, fix the problem and keep it maintained.

@@dorsetscousersgarage9913 great, yeah. I'm hoping to get an S2000 in March, so it's good to see what kind of issues they have beforehand 👍
Quest they’re generally rock solid, but a high reviving engine needs a good going over after 100k miles. I’m sure you’ll love it!
hey it’s an old video but where are you with this car?
I’m having issues seems like all of us do just depends on the fix after to make it at its best.
Hey, Just wondering, how does the car sound when it has the bearing issue?
Clunking noise consistent as you rev up
Out of curiosity, where did you buy the crank shaft you bought ?

DorsetScouser's Garage what caused you to spin a rod/main bearing? 🤔
bm717252 sorry for the delay getting back to you! We suspect low oil pressure, an issue that was never fixed despite bearing spinning before...
DorsetScouser's Garage that’s how my first engine died ! How is the rebuild coming along ?
Charlie Nearly there, hoping to get an update video out soon when work lets up and gives me a bit of time!
