I have an Epiphone LP Custom Pro, the knobs were loose, strap screws fell off, needed to change electronics very quickly and the plastic Jack input cover shattered.. But guess what. Fixed it and now its my favorite guitar. The neck Sooo comfortable (its different, 60s SlimTaper D), the looks, the black ebony fingerboard, everything is amazing. Now I want to upgrade pickups and locking tuners/nut because this guitar will stay with me forever :D
I have this exact guitar, bought it brand new and I had problems with the nut...buzzing/rattle etc. I ended up filing the nut using the correct size files and the guitar has never given me any problems( owned now for 2yrs). I agree.. it's NOT a traditional PAF sound but you can get good tones from this guitar. It has a really aggressive sound if you want it , I love the neck on this as well. Pretty spot on review!

Here in Canada, this guitar is $1,229.00 Canadian dollars, not a "budget priced" guitar by any means. I was really concerned about the Made in China quality control and will be checking very closely when I shop. I'm particularly concerned about the nut issue you described. That is a deal breaker for me on a $1,200 + guitar. Thank-you for your honest review!
I have yet to find a guitar in that price range with a nut that doesn't need to be filed down at least slightly, and since it is something I already do during the first setup of almost every guitar I buy, I can't see it as a deal breaker, it takes 10 minutes with the right tools, or you can ask a luthier or guitar tech do do the job for you, if they're honest they'll include the nut filing in the setup price, the nut itself is a premium one, Graph Tech makes the best nuts I've every tried, extremely low friction to improve tuning stability, and they don't dampen the string vibriation as a cheap plastic nut would do. Don't get me wrong, this guitars aren't perfect by any means, I tried several of them, but the nut is the least of their problems.
Recently received my guitar manufactured in early 2023. There are still quality control issues. There are some cosmetic damage, even some scratches on the humbucker. At first, I also thought about returning, but agreed with the seller to return part of the cost. The final cost was $700. I bought the guitar from aliexpress.
You were spot on about the nut..if you buy this guitar, change it out.. I have a problem with the battery terminal connector length..way too small..everything else I really love, except the pickups..they are middle of the pack..going to swap out for EMG Super 77’s
Great review mate! I have the old version of the Les Paul Prophecy and all the issues that you mentioned were also present in the previous model. The 3-way switch, the knobs being loose, etc. It amazes me that this many years later the quality control is still struggling.
Hey buddy thanks for your honest review i am planning to buy this guitar or ESP LTD EC-1000 deluxe ( with EMG 60-81). I play mostly metal songs and riffs and rarely play some jazz/blues stuff.have you got a chance to try EC-1000 ?
@@GlibGrind yeah after that i went to a Gutiar Store and tried Prophecy.İ saw so much minot problem at the Guitar.I've bought EC-1000s (with fishman fluence modern pickups).It feels significantly better quality than Prophecy

I don’t like this guitar as the pickups are terrible. Harsh and weird sounding. Those pickups are not traditional pickups they do not use wire like traditional pickups, they are made of metal tape!!!!!! Yes metal tape!!!! They are shite. Not for me at all.

Go for ESP, I recently bought EC-401FM and it's amazing. Before that I tried last gen of Prophecy and it looked and kinda felt cheap.

Get the ESP LTD Eclipse EC-1000. You can't go wrong with those.
