Origami: A Stereogram Animation

- My first attempt at a HD-resolution stereogram. I hope you enjoy it! This is easiest to see in the standard UA-cam player, not full screen.
Never seen a stereogram before? The goal is to unfocus your eyes and look through the screen, until the repeating pattern merges and you see the 3D image.
Three tips that might help to look through the screen:
1) Try focusing on the wall behind and above your computer screen, then keep your eyes focused at that distance but move them down so that you are looking through the screen.
2) If you have a CRT monitor, try focusing on the reflections in the screen.
3) Start up close to the screen, unfocus your eyes so you're looking through the screen, and slowly back away. - Фільми й анімація
@thepyromaniac9927 -- It's a piece of paper folding into a boat, and another one folding into a crane. The boat turns out to be a hat worn by a sea monster, and the crane re-folds into a paper airplane and flies away. Thanks for the sub! :)
AWESOME!!!! LOVE THEM! I have never seen any that move. So cool!!!
whats there exactly? i saw some triangles and shapes moving down and back and then something like a hand or tree??
Origamy crane.
I saw a shape turn into a whole bunch of things
I saw an Origami hat at 1 point.
this is awesome it's like it's actually coming out of your screen
Nice. Paper boat and crane floating in water. Then Loch Ness surfaces with the crane on its nose and the boat on its head. The crane refolds itself into a plane and flies off, whilst loch ness tilts its head in confusion.
this was awesome! :D
I always knew there is something more while loading games on Commodore64 :)
Loved the crane.
thats so awesome
bad ass dude.. really reallly awesome
Oh, a music video stereogram animation would be cool! Nice idea!

I can't believe it, you just combined two of the things I love most in the world: origami and 3D stereograms!! =D Lol, I think you and I have similar hobbies!! XD
very cool!! is it possible to do basic color on stereogram animations?
nice
Nice video
i saw a few other videos like this one, and this one is the only one i can't seem to view properly.... GRRRRR
awesome. It really needed the HD option for the best experience
@CaballeroClaudia -- Muchas gracias! :)
@ThePhantomChick lots of my friends have trouble seeing these so i have to describe to them so could you show them without the stereogram effect
LOL... I guess you were really focusing on it! ;) Thanks for watching and commenting!
I'm glad the HD worked out. Thanks for watching!
@DasHinchen -- Bummer. Did you try some of the tips I listed in the video description? It's easiest to start with still image stereograms before trying to see animated ones. Good luck!
@Sylphadora -- Ha ha! Thanks for the nice comment! :D
Ha ha, I'll remember to avoid that. Thanks for commenting! :)
omg i saw it for the first time ever
@rubikskidcube -- Ha ha, thanks for the comment, and play-by-play! :)
WOW
I can see it, problem is it really fucks up my vision after, everything is very blurry after.
I lost focus at start when i thought the boat left the picture xD but great vid!
Hi! I don’t know if you are still active or if you’ll ever going to see this. I am an animation student and very interested in stereograms. I like to incorporate this type of animation into my thesis project but don’t know how. May I ask what program do you use to make these stereograms?
Art of illusion and 3dmiracle
@RossEStern -- Thanks for watching, and subscribing! For future stereogram animations I make, I think I'll include the greyscale solutions. You might want to have your friends try some of the stereogram-viewing tips in the video description. But at least you can see them, and you're friends actually believe that you see something, not just static! XD (Oh, and yes, the Outer Limits one is a creepy floating talking head.)
@grandmastersmith -- Thanks for watching, I'm glad you liked it! I just used 3D animation software for the animation, and fed it to a stereogram making program.
Thanks for the subscribe! I hope you didn't hurt your eyes by sneezing while watching this... lol. :)
@PureDanceFTW -- Thanks for watching, I'm glad you could see it! :)
@george26761 -- Thank you! :D

@334titan -- Ha ha, yeah... kind of a surprise ending. ;)
The paper crane unfolds and re-folds into a paper airplane, then flies away.
@DollsandaLotMore -- Thanks for watching! :)
