Just saw the first game of Match 1 and that was crazy fun to see haha. It was good the opponent just scooped, otherwise that’d take forever to go through the whole combo lol. I’m excited for the rest of the video!

I know it's been said a lot of times, here and on reddit, but it's great to see you back, missed your videos. Glad to see you pick up broodscale combo, something i wanted to pick up when the set released. I think the deck would do a lot better in paper just because you're not going to run out of time.

Yeah, and it hurts to play a ‘weaker’ alternative on magic online when you could just play witch in paper.
That being said, clock is part of the game on magic online and you have to take that into account!

nice to see new videos, crypt rats main might be a cool idea, with refactor it can clear out any blockers, worst case it could draw a game if you are dead on next turn, also can keep you alive vs some agro decks.

Welcome back. This deck is better than I thought it would be. I think you are probably too heavy on artifact lands for no reason. Having 10 is going to leave you way too weak to dust to dust which seems like it might be everywhere because the new affinity might be insane. Wedding invitation might be kinda dope here because it gives you an out to attack when thoughtpicker might be too slow. You can also get it back with urborg repossession. Probably only a two of but it gives you some legs.
Thanks and good suggestions. I like cutting artifacts lands, should probably do even more than I did at the end of the video, and wedding invitation could be a good include as well.
nice to see a new video from you, I was pumped to see it! thanks for making this combo, it was really interesting to see it go off! just wondering why in that last game you didn't filter a bunch of black with the refractor, cast crypt rats, wipe their board after ensuring they were going to draw a land off of that outlaw medic, and then attack in for the win? I get wanting to test the actual combo clicking though. I like the idea of trying the new flashback deadly dispute. maybe it's worth putting in one direct damage spell like kaervek's torch or rolling thunder for an alternate win with all your mana if you can't click through fast enough?

I didn't take that line because I was too focused on combo'ing fast and missed it.
I don't think you want a fireball, I think there are other ways to win that a few other people suggested that seem better, like wedding invitation or the fetch land.
@@SnapBolt something like impact tremors or makeshift munitions would work as well if you can maintain the combo

I think escape tunnel or wedding invitation seems like reasonable options. (suggestions from other comments)

In a match against ub, you said you cannot adapt more than once ( I know how adapt works). Can you like hold prio, adapt on stack and before resolving activate again as long as you have mana?

@@SnapBolt the list is interesting. Im wondering if you've considered running the evo witness over urborg? seems similar in effect but opens you up to new lines. Additionally I agree that the thoughtpicker witch lethal on mtgo might be untenable. im wondering if a red splash for makeshift and dd oracle might make sense? you could even add bridges and cleansing wildfire as an engine to support the mana base that way? Seems ambitious, but I do like the combo, just needs a better win on the spot. potentially something an as simple as rancor to stay BG?
@@saltandpauper I have another Jund version with witness. Completely different kill with an easier combo kill. Might try that if I feel like clicking a bunch again 😂

Sweet deck! Round 4, game 1 you took the prismatic strands out of their hand. However, the broodscale is devoid, so strands is completely dead against you.

Not scooping on MODO when your opponent has you dead is such a salty chad move, especially in the 1-3 matchup. Last opponent should feel so proud of themselves.
Gotta disagree - I think clock is part of the game on magic online, opponent does not have to scoop there. I needed to play faster or build my deck in a way where I can combo more easily.
Would be nice if you could set up a predetermined amount of loops for combos on magic online though
@@SnapBolt fair enough. I guess we differ in the 'part of the game' aspect. In paper, you had the win, and I'd like to think most players would want to stay true to the original game. I do get your point. Hopefully you stick with the deck. There are so many ways to build Broodscale combo, only a matter of time before the right formula is found and a 5-0 occurs. that clock thing was rough. it happened to me a fair bit as well. Sadly Walls and Moggwarts and Altar tron all suffer from this. As such the meta looks vastly different on mtgo than it does in paper :(
Yeah, usually I’m ok with the clock and ephemerate loops but witch was just too many clicks and it was laggy
@@SnapBolt as a player from europe i feel you. I once lost the pestilence mirror like that (since neither player can win it is decided by decking out through 2 campfire) my opponent made a lot of mistakes but had a better connection so i just ... Couldnt win. It was a guaranteed loss from the first turn :(
Also interestingly Evolution Witness has similar functionality with sadistic glee but would require other parts. Maybe just a worthy value slot regardless as it's pretty powerful.
Have a totally different witness build of the combo that looks sweet too
If you hold the “Auto Tap Mana” hot key, you can sac your Eldrazi Spawn for mana using only 1 click instead of 2 clicks.

As a small note, prismatic strands can't protect against colorless, and the broodscale has Devoid, you spent a lot of time worrying about a card that can't save the op. Great to see you back around!

Just ordered my final copies to complete a playset of sadistic glees. Bought a single copy for a commander deck couple of months ago for 0,04, todays cheapest EX was 2,19 (x55!!!)
Combo seems like it has potential! The clicks on magic online are pretty rough though… 😏
I think you can diversify your win con with 1 witch and 1 bombardment
Snarling gorehound is a good filter and win con, it can mill your entire deck and then dread return/unearth molten gatekeeper
Yea, but you need red mana or extra creatures to sac to make that combo work. Plus it takes up a lot of deck slots

Maybe Mirkwood Bats would work better than the witch in mainboard for MTGO to speed up the combo a lot? And put a witch in the sideboard for potentional infitine life decks?
That was my first though but it’s 4 mana card vs a 1 mana card.
I’m just thinking now, perhaps it doesn’t matter because you go for the base combo, make infinite colorless, then spend 1 black to play bats and keep combo’ing. There’s also a three drop that does it too with tokens
