Watching this is a funny experience, because Jimmy Fallon is the kind of guy Logan would have zero patience for.
Good point well made.
Fallon always tries too hard.
He's a bit like Greg 😂
@@helene420 C'mon Greg is more endearing
@@Jvksiew ok I'll give you that
We should get Brian Cox playing Logan Roy on a season of White Lotus.
HBO PLEASE DO THIS
Yes! And please make that a family vacation.
didnt age well
YESSSSSSS
@@ashmitjaitely2492 Why not, who says a White Lotus episode has to be set in the present?
Not as clever a regurgitation of someone else's wit as you thought it would be was it kid?
Try having an original thought and using your own words to express it next time and you might be allowed to move from the kiddie table to come talk with the adults.
Can't believe one of the greatest series is ending 😭 Really hope the cast win big at the Emmys cos Brian and so many have been robbed.
It for sure will
Not as bad as Rhea Seehorn has been snubbed repeatedly
Everyone got at least one grammy what ya talking abt
It's bigger than the Emmys already. Just doesn't need that shit!!
All bangers all the time.
I've been watching Brian Cox for over 40 years now. He's an actor's actor. Everything he's done, he's given such consistently great performances. Some probably remember him playing a short but great part on "Frasier", as Daphne's dad. And he was FUNNY! He was the old man in the instant Halloween classic, "Trick 'R Trick", in which he plays the old man. And many people don't know he first played Hannibal Lecter onscreen, some five years before Anthony Hopkins, in the fantastic movie, "Manhunter". There are roles he's been able to phone in, and still give greater performances than those who have studied a role for months on end. Amazing guy.
He was Agamemnon is Troy. He was amazing. Search for Agamemnon laugh in Troy. You see some Logan attitude there =)
He had the best sequence in trick r treat, for sure. Sometimes I put that part on. He’s so good and I love how much fun he has with acting. He seems like a serious person but doesn’t take himself too seriously and is great in everything he does.
@@potato-whiz agreed. It was cool the way the storyline came back around to this character...the old man. When some questions were certainly answered, or more was just revealed about this particular character. Had someone else been cast, it could've been a rather forgettable, unclimactic sequence. But Cox is so good at kicking characters up a notch with his style and talent as an actor. He's always done that. I've seen them so many times now. But it was fun to watch him recently, doing comedy as Daphne's dad on "Frasier". And he was FUNNY! And yeah, you can tell that the key to his happiness and sanity in this business is not to take himself too seriously. He's still having so much fun with what he's doing, where he could easily retire. But actors like him never retire.
He was surprisingly good in Super Troopers
I have to say - quite unexpectedly this show Succession is one of the best in the history of TV - when you factor in all of it - the writing , acting - story etc .
Manhunter, Rob Roy, X2, The Ring, Troy, Match Point, the list goes on…Brian Cox is a gem
Match Point... such an underrated film
Wait, he was in The Ring? Why am I drawing a blank on this? It was so long ago.
@@b-dub6865 Samara's father
@@b-dub6865 yeah, he was the little girl's dad, commits suicide
Bourne.
Honestly I find it interesting that Brian doesnt seem to adore Jeremy in regards to how he does stuff, but he still has deep respect for him as an actor...I mean the paralels between Logan and Kendall are really strong in this one ..some could say Brian is unknowingly method acting XD
Am i confused with this comment or are you thinking about Jeremy Strong and Jesse Armstrong?
Love that interview was about acting! What a master.
Brian Cox's success in succession and in life has not changed him, top man.
Going straight from Last of Us season 1 to Succession final season. We are eating good.
Saw him perform on stage in London in a play called The Weir. So glad I happened upon it. What a treat to see him work!
How long ago was that?
@@DrVVVinK That was in February of 2014
@@amandarachels i first fell in love with him as an actor in the independent film L.I.E, opposite Paul Dano in 2000. Where Cox plays a pedo. Such a risk taking move for him.
Love how Brian Cox dresses!
Brian Cox is really fantastic, love seeing him on the Tonight Show!
Watched him for decades. Also loved him in "Deadwood" -- wonderful scenes with Ian McShane.
I go to the same gym as Brian and while I'm sure he is a great guy, he intimidates the hell out of me lol
My first time seeing him was in Troy, my favorite part was when he laughs at the enemies champion and yells "Achilllllllleeees".
He was fantastic in Super Troopers
Brian Cox is a good guy
He's amazing! I'm gonna miss this incredible show. 😢
He suddenly became my favourite actor.
Yeah I can hear him talk all day 🙏🏾
Give this MIND BLOWING ACTOR F***ING EMMY HE DESERVES!!!!!!
Btw Jimmy Fellon being so comfortable with his guest tells you about how great the guest he's having in the show it is. Brian Cox phenomenal not only as actor but a person too.👌
Enjoyed this interview with Brian Cox. Great interaction between these two stars. Jimmy is so good with his guests. I love Succession. It is the only show I watch twice - right after the first viewing in case I missed something. Acting, Writing and Directing is excellent.
I’m late to the party I been binge watching succession currently half way thru season 3 an I love it
Love Brian Cox! That's exactly what one of my acting coaches said to me during theatre school when I was trying to work through a scene...."Just do it, for fuck's sake, do it! It was one of the best acting tips I ever received. Seriously.
Do you think he used a stylist for this look? Lol I love it
Love Brian Cox!!!
The comments about method acting go back to Laurence Olivier commenting to Dustin Hoffman in Marathon Man “my dear boy, why don’t you just try acting”. I was waiting for Brian Cox to credit him. He would know this story, it is famous beyond the acting world.
Brian Cox must be the guest that has sworn the most on Fallon since Matt Smith was on.
Brian Cox’s acting master class joke is funny because it’s true.
One hundred and fifty percent true.
He is phenomenal, honestly
Great appearance Brian....Rock on chum...ya looked good also...! Looking forward to more episodes...
I love his Logan Roy. And Succession to me is quite comedic.
Jimmy's best interviews are with the veterans
hello! I just finished binge watching Succession since season one and im up to date so I finally can watch these videos and OMGGG I was so nervous when he came out I really (stupidly thought he was going to be like Logan, which I am really terrified of him but also obsessed but he is so nice!!!! lol also Shiv is actually australian and she is so relaxed? omg I haven't seen Kieran content or Jeremy but I came rrright to Logan, as one should.
*So excited for a nanosecond when this title popped into my feed ... Then, so bummed realizing it was with Fallon.* 🥺
Bravo 👏
Let's not forget he was the original Hannibal Lectar in Michael Mann's Manhunter in 1985 (Silence of the Lambs is a better movie, but Cox is amazing in that)
He has literally said in other interviews he isn’t a method actor (and said if he was Hannibal would’ve messed him up) so this title is misleading
Talented Dude,.👍👏👊👏👏👏
Favourite, (Possibly) Best Films of his (thus far) are The Long Kiss GoodeNight and The Autopsy of Jane Doe.. 🎨🚀🎢👏
Love Brian cox very talented actor. Logan Roy on succession must have been quite the jog for him to bring to life I really do forget that he isn't really logan roy.
💯👏
Great video
Jimmy Fallon Brian Cox shows clip Mastercard method awesomeness job interview
Brian Cox seem slike such a fun guy to hang around with
Brian Cox debating suicide with a toddler under the pretense of Shakespeare is great.
It do be the question, tho
He makes me laugh being Logan ❤
Love that guy
Brian Cox reminds me a lot of Marlon Brando in this interview.
I'm still griefing about realisation that I will not have a chance to see 10 succession seasons. I saw only few so far and I loved it! I need more shows like that. It boosts the success gene, educates about corporate business-policy live pretty well. Was last seasons like the Newsroom? Mediocre although 1 season was genius!
They’ve all been great.
That's not the point of the show though, go watch some Andrew Tate buddy 😂
You really misunderstood the whole show huh
iT bOoStS tHe SucCeSs gEnE
Yes now I would have slightly different opinion. It's more of their persional relationship drama and decision how to overtake company right/righter? :D That said I would love to watch it again. Interestingly written show really unique for my ears
Logan roy is reaching Tony soprano status of all time best characters
Fkin love this guy In ""MANHUNT"" games from rockstar super iconic ;)
I'm feel scared when Logan shouts, it's like I remember a bad boss from the past
Jesse is like… ummmmmm….. okay Roy you dead… just wanted to tell you right before I tell you it’s the last season just to piss you off 😂
Super troopers is one of the best
Why and how is it stopping and ending it is a good show ❤😂🎉😢😮😅
The show is the closest we're gonna get to like a Shakespearian Greek tragedy...
I wish Brian had yelled 'Name a golfer who is an actor, Improv King!'
i was fully bracing for a "FCUK OFF!" when he said he brought a MasterClass on method acting 😅
Yes, Master Class. Love it. This is brilliantly funny shit but real. Jimmy your kind of funny too.
anyone who saw Brian in The Long Kiss Goodnight knows that he is very funny
the ringer - beautiful
This was *bleep delightful!
Jimmy is such a Greg.
I went out w the liter a cola fast food guy for a while 🤣
Funny talented man. I am still sh** scared of him!! :)
I like him.
Guest starred on Frasier.
Missing him!
Logan said that he got Pierce. That's a pretty big secret he let out just there.
God i love him 😅
Wait did Jimmy mess up and say Brian....-wilson- under his breath when he first came out... Doesn't matter cuz Brian COX is the best actor in the world currently. ❤️
"Hearts / Hibs" energy.
"Brian, welcome"
I would definitely pay for that Masterclass
I already Miss Succession & I haven't even watched the Finale🥲
So funny in A Touch of Cloth
I’ve been binging Succession since this past weekend and I’m so glad I came across this because I hate Logan Roy with all my heart and soul but love Brian Cox 🥹😍
The OG AND BEST HANNIBAL LECTER
What a charming fellow
Hello ❤
1) Brian Cranston
2) Brian Cox
3) Aubrey Plaza
Add Bon Odenkirk and that’s a wrap!
Stand-up comedy is to be added to the OTT Startgo
fucking love him ❤
I'm a little less scared of him now after watching this interview 🥹🥹🥹
Love him in Long kiss Goodnight
That Master Acting gag was a knock on Jeremy Strong who has been annoying the entire cast with his "method acting" quirks for the run of the show.
4:37
"Method" is a school of acting, it's not the best nor the worst, and it should have never been enthroned in popular culture as it was thank's to Lee Strasberg self promotion. If an actor feels it gets the best of him o her, great. But that's all. Also, don't call "method acting" what in every other place simply is called being a jerk.
Fallon's expression @ 1:05 "You grew up near St. Andrews, right? What was that like?" So cringe 😆
I wish Logan lived longer 😢
Not being funny, an advert for a cruise came on before the video
“When the party is at the best, leave”.
Funny how Logan died at the climax of the series. So they literally did this.
But Succession IS a comedy and IS funny!
She was very contained. She was doing the ball and uh... EYUHEYUHEYUH.
👍🏽
There should be a Greg spin off 😊😂. I truly hoped it would be. But...
"Caaaash... I made you!"
He doesn't seem all that different in personality from Logan. When he says "fuck that" I thought that was Logan for a minute.
Totally confused the old white guy for another old white guy. Never saw Succession, but looks like a DAMNNN good show.
I mean Succession was the story of my time at NYU. Dad was Chair and me a med student. You kna I meannn.
I'm so jealous that you get to watch it for the first time. It's such a good show.
You're in for a hell of a ride brother. It's an amazing show.
Hiiii im so earllly
Ironic title given his comments on Jeremy's method acting
isn’t that Lionel Starkweather?🤔
"And WHY THE F*CK would I want to waste my two precious hours on your movie?! I don't have any use for it! I don't have any, bloody, use for it."
Prequel!
not the Brian Cox i thought it was.
edit: but after i got a better look i know who it is, he's good.
