So I'm in Ireland, heat pumps/outdoor units have taken off big time over the past 5 years and now it's mandatory for outdoor units to be put in new houses instead of oil and gas boilers. Your videos are the only ones coming from the states that are informative and that actually show a practical side of how to repair units.
Greatly appreciate the videos so keep up the good work.
Very straightforward, and to the point Tadd, another great video buddy!
Thanks 👍
Man this WAS Great! Tadd! Thanks!
You're welcome my friend
Thank you 🙏 great advice
You're welcome i'm glad you watched
At time mark 10:48 it looks like suction temp sensor is bad also. Should be close to same 81 degs F as liquid temp reading at 243 psig R410a for inactive temp equilibrium. Likely reason for 65 degs F superheat reading at time stamp 13:03.
Good work man
Thank you! 😃
I was about to replace one of those but found a short in the wires.
Dammit Teddy how do you know so much and you're so young. your ability to remember so much information. I swear it just has to be genetic because I have trouble like you wouldn't believe.
Did you tighten the schrader valve
Good video 👍
Glad you enjoyed
Great idea and work !! We’re you worried about brazing near the Schrader core ?
Thanks for watching really appreciate it
Not worried because I had the wet Towel covering it
Nice
Why not swage, braze then screw on the transducer?
Hard to get both your hands in there with 2 wrenches to tighten it.
I wonder if you could use a heavy cabinet clamp to hold the stainless part to a ladder. Then you would have 2 free hands for the rest of the task.
Im 13:04 in a small town this new technology it's not around here. I'm sure it will come down some time and have to be ready for it.
Why would you install a schrader valve core and not tighten it? You might as well not even use one. Then try to use a wet rag for brazing to keep from melting a core that is not even tightened... Is it not easier to just braze the schrader valve in without the core and thermister attached?? PS nice video.
It's not supposed to be tightened all the way so that the transducer depresses it and measures the pressure.
If the core is not tight pressure is going to reach the transducer weather it depresses the stem or not...either way. the transducer would work fine without the core. The core is suppose to allow the part to be replaced in the future without needing to remove refrigerant first...@@TaddyDigest the new part should be able to depress the core EVEN WHEN THE CORE IS TIGHT... unless the part is out of spec.
A swivel tee would have saved a lot of time and cost
Can you reuse the refrigerant you extract?
Yes, make sure it isn’t mixed with other refrigerants and no air is inside
IM assuming when changing one, always change in tandem?
yes
Are these preshure transducers the same as a high or low pressure switch
Yea, there’s pressure transducers on both high and low side of systems.
Would a flare coupling pass code?
yes
I have replaced many of them.
🙂🙂🙂
smiley face
Why not just a swivel tee
Less time and serves same purpose brother
Could have been done in same time as the video
I find York products are lacking in Quality control.
