This week we helped clear snow off the roof of a building for the local museum. We also show some of the damage and run some other errands that needed to get done. As always, thanks for watching!

I grew up in a similar rural community to yours. The custom of coming together to help whom ever needed assistance was always top priority. I wish there was more of that kind of " community" mindedness. Our world would be a better place.
I didn’t realize how much you do for folks in your community. Good on you and Duff!
We need neighbors like you all over the U.S. you're awesome!
Yes we do
Helping out your fellow communities and neighbors is always a good thing
Tokens for Heaven
Happy You Tuber Friday
Helping out those in need is the best medicine for all concerned... That's why we love you Mr. M!😎
Seeing the damage done to the museum is heartbreaking. Your giving back the community is priceless.👍👍
Absolutely
Country folk will survive.
You're very generous person makes me appreciate watching your content even more now
Living in Podunk, U.S.A means it's even more important to care about where you are from, understand how it came to be and do what you can to leave it better than you found it. Mortske gets it. 👍
Hope everything works out for the museum.
Hello Mortske and Duff Dog
Sir Mortske a true man of the people ! Kudos Sir you are a true inspiration to us all !
Saw an old steam powered tractor once when I was a kid it was awesome the plow rig it pulled with no real effort plowed 12 ft at a time shear brutal power on steam
I sure hope nothing happens to our museum. They have some rare and beautiful old machines in there. I have nothing to do with ours, but I can sure appreciate what they have. They actually restore the stuff and make it run. I love to see the old Reeves steam tractor run. That thing is HUGE. They have cars, bikes and even a locomotive. That blast of snow you got just missed us. It went just south of us. For the rest of your viewers, I'm not that far away. Just north in Canada. That weather pattern covered a pretty wide swath.
Your town is very lucky to have a citizen that’s so civically minded! Good on you, sir.
It really is!
If more people helped their communities like you do, the world would be a better place. The bonus is that you help thousands and thousands of people with your videos twice a week. Thank you, sir.❤
Wow, thank you
Thanks for all you do for your community.
It’s great to see kind people are still out there. 😊
You bet
Helping the community is awesome. We need more like you around the country. Donation sent. Love from Texas
You rock!
We got all that snow here in Central Minnesota. Then it went into the 70’s for three days and our snow is gone. This was the worst Winter we’ve had for the amount of snow in many years. And suddenly it’s gone. I hope you guys were able to get a lot of the museum cleaned up. Now they’re forecasting back to the 20’s and 30’s again.
Seeing that damage is definitely sad to see. Hopefully the clean up and repairs can begin soon. Between the harsh winter you guys had and the tornadoes we had it seems this year is going to be a rough one. Thanks for sharing Mort!
Saw this a day late. I will definitely donate to their go fund me. Seriously hope that is the last snow of the season!
Much appreciated!
Nice helping out the museum. Thanks John from Arizona
Our pleasure!
Mortske your a good kid.
Man, that's a shame. Gotta say, I'm a little jealous of your connection with your community. Congrats.
Mortske it’s really special you helping out the Museum. Was kinda waiting for the oil tank filling. A busy time around shop and helping folks! Definitely A-1 on your video. Thanks for sharing! Duff had your back. ❤️💯
Good to See You, what a Mess
I'm glad you're getting it and not us over here in the North East it was up to 80゚ over here and Western New York
With weather like that in mid-April, Mount Mortske isn't coming down any time soon. Helping others in need is what ya gotta do. You never know when you'll be the person in need.
I like second channel stuff. It shows all the stuffs behind the scenes required to do first channel stuffs. Cause sometimes people forget about that part.
I think this video helped the museum the go fund me is starting to climb, hopefully more folks will help this impressive organization.
I hope so. Great place!
best UA-camr ever
That’s pretty neat ! The ole telehandler seems to work well for removing snow. That’s cool that you help others with the snow too.
Yup good ol boy! And opening a tab at your watering hole....OUTSTANDING!
Thanks 👍
You are right about the bachelors filling their homes with car parts. I did put a motorcycle engine in my basement but I had a hard time convincing myself to do it. Once a man crosses that line it’s a slippery slope.
Good stuff!
I lived in a trailer house with a Motorcycle in the Living Room for the Winter thought nothing of it. Neither did anyone else
Good Job helping Mortske
You're a good man Mortske.
That Tele was the right purchase at the right time considering how this winter has gone for you. Jeez.
Lived in NW Iowa for a stretch and I remember digging out after a big snow and having the city plow come by 5 minutes later and burying the end of the drive🤬. We always tried to clear 5-6 feet either side at the end of the driveway but some years were heavy enough we’d run out of room. Hope the museum is insured and can recover soon.
sorry about snow praying for ya.
Crazy how light duty those buildings are allowed to be built there. Nice to see you and the community helping out, nice work
You made it to television!! WDAY news just showed you on their story on the museum. You were in the background.(We all know Duff is the real talent here.)
Duff was busy working!
Oh man so sad for tractor shed😢 was 90° here in NH end of the week grass growing leaves a poppin when we could be havin mount Mortskies here and snow now
hi mort so sorry to here about that yea your a good person helping others in need i remmber jan of 1967 in chicago people where stuck a work or at home for days on end my dad blow the clutch up on his corviar van he was poood mean while me and some friends made snow forts how neat is that keep up the shop mort and duff.
You're a gentleman and a scholar good on ya Duff approved
The TV museum in Rigby Idaho is much the same. Go Philo Farnsworth!!! Strange opening hours but unbelievable stuff and a great place to spend an afternoon. For me it seems the best way for us to help this museum and the local community is to make it a summer vacation destination. Spend your travel money someplace it will help and stay local. Forman here we come!
Mortske you are really good person. I appreciate your content so much more.
My Grandmother was from Minto, North Dakoda.
I was only there once about 30 years ago. Cool place to visit, and see my family history.
Small world!
You Sir are a good Person Period love ya Duff 💟
Thanks for the Friday matinee! Thanks as well to the editing department 🍺🐾
Our pleasure!
Happy Friday yootoobers!
Your a good Man Mortske I enjoy your videos so much, Thank you Sir.
You are very welcome
Your such a good bloke brother God bless you my man. But that's just you man God love you mate 👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺
Good on you for helping. And also treating them guys to some sammiches.
Man, you are building one hell of a snow fort
"Please stand for the mid west National Anthem... Save Big Money.. Save big money..." great episode. Really enjoy these insights into life in the upper mid west! And your right.. If you don't have a Menards you are really missing out!
haha
Budweiser
“The King of Rears”.
I will forever call it that now! 😂
Yesterday,it was at least 82+ Deg in Southwestern Minnesota had to turn the Air Conditioning on in the Man Cave got just a tad too shwetty
That telehandler is perfect for getting snow off your roof.
''Cause that's what bacholors with a dog do''
I relate so much to that, before I bought my first appartment and garage I was living in a small studio appartment where I barley had room for walking around because I had so many car parts everywhere. I mean there are still car parts all over my appartment and my driveway is still overflowing with cars, just the way I like it.
Good to help others
I used to deliver freight to Menards back in the day. They were great! I just opened my doors and backed up to the dock and the employees did the unloading. They even swept out my trailer when they were done.
Awesome
Dang! We’re 300 miles south of you in Iowa, and we’ve had a couple 90 degree days already. Love the local small town museums! Good work!
Love your channel. You can have all that snow all live here in Arizona where it's sunshine most the time. Have a great day!
Love your videos❤❤❤❤❤ Awesome con tent
Thanks for the video. You’ve got a lot going on at Mortske & Duff headquarters! The Viking in Fergus Falls, have to remember that next time back home! Thanks for the tip!
Your a good hearted guy Mortske. ❤
You're a good guy Mortske!
Thanks Danielle
Great video A day in the life of a man and his involvement in the local community . You take time out to help people who do not have the tools to cope in times of need . Thank you for the insight , you put others first and it reflects on your business and outlook in general . Cudos to you , Till next time Stuart in Ontario
Do a good deed and don't get found out.. well in this case do a good deed and make content to show your viewers and make people feel good about what you're doing... Thank You for doing what your doing Mr. Thomas 'Kevin' Mortske.
Our pleasure
Like hearing about Alex and Fergus grew up in that area now in Indiana
loved the ‘different angle’ for the oil heater tank fill 😆
Sorry to see that roof collapse! Bugger! fricken snow and mice! they suck!
This is what social media should be about, using your platforms to help others in crisis is more than noble, it's simply the right thing to do. Good for you. Hey maybe it's just crazy thinking but maybe a tow behind type(or industrial whatever) leaf vac might help in getting snow out of the inside of that building/from around all the contents. It won't eliminate handwork or heavy lifting that will come, but maybe it might reduce it IDK. Thanks for sharing
God bless you Sir
Another brilliant video pal, you and duff always make me smile, keeps me occupied while im in bed with this bad back, 😁👍
Glad you enjoyed
Great Video Mortske You are a good dude.
I try
I enjoy your vlog type videos! Your town seems like the kind you gotta go down to the local watering hole to hear the real news of the town too!
Every shop should have a Mojo. Mojo's cool.
Dang right
Largest snow globe in your neck of the woods, coming soon to the merch store
I use to cast the flywheel they called it for the old tractors. It had a section heavier on one side and there were three or 4 different sizes. They weighed up to 350# raw casting before machining.
Very neighborly thing to do. Lots of that up here in Saskatchewan
You’re a good man mortske. Great video !
I try
Watch the snow plow segment in 2x speed and see old Mortske make the Kessel run in under 12 parsecs
gotta love this channel always lot going on my hart got broke seeing the stuff inside. brilliant job to you and all the help and the cold ones your the man morts. cheers.
I hope a bunch of your viewers can donate to this museum. Looks like they could really use support beyond local donations. It's a shame to see those historic tractors damaged.
One day it will quit snowing and you and Duff dog will miss it! 😎
I hope so too!
Heavy snow is the death of any weak building. What a shame that this had to happen to a museum of all places. But not the first one in History. I really enjoyed the shop and museum tour. I had no idea you had that many interesting machining tools.
There is lot of interesting stuff in the museum beside cars so good call in helping them out. As a tractor guy I enjoyed your tour and don't worry about not knowing what these things are. The video is more or less self explaining. I hope they get the building fixed or a new build.
This looks like a very nice hometown museum with some really nice exhibits. So sorry for the storm damage - hopefully the insurance company is good to them. Thanks for showing us the place, and letting us follow you around! And, neighbors pulling together to help out folks in need is always a great thing, and gives a guy faith that there are still a bunch of good folks out there.
You're a good man Mr. Mortske. I love the attitude of small-town America. I grew up in a town of 200 people, so I know the essence of a small-town community. I donated so I hope things can be saved and restored at the Museum!
Much appreciated!
Those printing presses should be ok, if their anything like our old chandler & price platten, they are solid cast iron, let’s hope for the best
Good luck with the museum. Sad to see that loss.
2 x 4s will make cheap cross supports and a few short pieces can extend the uprights.
Sorry about the museum. Hope you get to melting up there.
Here in the Detroit area we've had a majority of the weather this winter pass just to the north and south.
Only used my snow blower once this year, and we're still down like 12" of precipitation, continuing last years droughtyness.
Lucky
Thats a very nice shop you have there looks very well equiped too !
Thanks 👍
Your a damn good human my man! Damn good!
snow still spins me out man i used to live in far north Queensland Australia and 85f was considered very cold.
I hope everything is restored and the museum rebuilt soon. All the best from down-under Christchurch NZ.
Good Samaritan 👍 we have been filling and throwing sand bags here in utah the last couple of days. Mother nature has not been kind.
Good luck!
You're a good man Tommo
What a great neighbor. Too bad you're so far away in the tundra.
Enjoy your vids. VGG was my usual go to. I think I like yours better. My vicarious living from OPKS.
Thanks!
