Question: Will Hamster & Gretel have balloons for this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Parade?
2nd Dimension I've been thinking could it be possible that the aliens could be the ones we saw in both Phineas and ferb and Milo Murphy's Law.
I have a feeling it's something along the line of the aliens running some kind of social experiment.
This episode reminds me of an episode from the 1995 reboot of "the outer limits". In that episode, an alien gives a select group of people powers in order to determine how they will use them in order to see if humanity will ever be able to rival his civilization. His response is:
"The fate of a world isn't determined by its best examples, but by its worst. It takes a few to destroy the many, especially when even the best of you can be dragged down into the mire. Judging from your example, brother against brother, friend against friend, you people have such a potential for violence; sheer, unvarnished wickedness. I've got every confidence you'll destroy yourself before you build your first interstellar engine. We've got nothing to fear from you."
Their goal is probably something like that.
NO WAYYYY THIS IS PRETTY MUCH EXACTLY MY THEORY!!!! The aliens doings seem very random and inexplicable throughout the show; manufacturing drama is pretty much exactly how I would describe it, and that would be very well explained by it being filmed as entertainment. I also think that this is going to tie back into the way the show treats Kevin specifically; he pretty much always is ignored and underappreciated, getting the short end of the stick. My theory is that Kevin specifically is a very popular fan favorite on their show and they're going to find out about that; maybe even at the expense of the aliens aren't fans of Gretel at all. Sort of a reversal not of their abilities, but of how they're perceived and treated.
The "side characters" are always more loved then the main ones.
Phineas and Ferb are the only exeption, we all love them more or equally to the rest
The Simpsons already did this alien reality show about human thing in their video game, “Simpsons: Hit and Run”.

The aliens making a tv show would be one of the craziest things ever. So many superhero backstories are from aliens, and all along, it was simple fun? Awesome theory.

The fact that the aliens are voiced by the creator and head writer is technically another meta hint to this plot...

When I saw the first episode I said. "Oh my gosh they're all pawns."
This is very similar to a theory I had back when all we had was Empower Failure and Oakey Dokey: that the aliens are just giving Gretel and Hamster, and Lauren and Lyle, superpowers just to entertain the people of their home planet. I hadn't really thought much about it since, mostly because the aliens kept giving superpowers to more villains.
However, looking back with this in mind, a lot of things suddenly start to make more sense: Why would they give Kevin's impromptu homecoming dance more flair? Why would they let Hamster and Gretel use their powers for good, but have other character use theirs for evil? Entertainment, that's what.
I still think that the aliens (or their boss) will end up being the main overarching antagonist (but definitely an unusual one compared to other alien villains in the Dwampyverse), because I suppose Hamster, Gretel, Kevin, basically every ally of theirs, and basically every villains they faced, _probably_ wouldn't like it if they find out that they've been secretly part of some kind of reality TV show. They would've felt _used_ by the aliens, and they might team up to get the aliens.
Imagine if this wasn’t even the plan to begin with but Dan sees this and makes it the actual ending 😂

I also suggested a similar theory when less episodes were out. It might not even be a TV show but just a game for some larger being. I originally thought it was the aliens in the ship but it's becoming more clear that they don't care about it. I'm excited to see how the season concludes because the mystery is interesting while so far being just a comedy show.
I’ve heard a few theories for the aliens motives in the show so here they are:
1.The aliens are using Gretel and Kevin’s town as the setting for their “tv show” of the superhero genre in a plot similar to that one ep from South Park
2.The aliens are siblings and were grounded for something having their parents take away their tv privileges and so they stole their car (aka ufo) and decided to use its power of power bestowing to enjoy their own tv show on Earth
3.The aliens purposely dodge Kevin on giving him powers cuz they waiting til he’s fueled up with enough jealousy and anger to turn him into a villain and defeat his own sister and pet as a major plot twist
Here’s another plot from a South Park episode; “Simpsons did it! Simpsons did it!” No seriously, the Simpsons already did this alien reality show thing in their game Simpsons Hit and Run.
I think the aliens are the parents.
But that's just a theory!, a film theory! aaaand cut.
I have two running theories, one being, running off your idea these two aliens are a sibling duo- Kevin is totally right and these aliens are just messing with everyone. Treating Earth like a playground, they’re just throwing powers around and doing reckless and impulsive things for the fun of it. The episode that came out after this, Grounded, has them make a Sloppy Joe monster exclusively just to do something to amuse them, which doesn’t seem to factor in to any higher authority’s plan. And it could be they’ll stage a huge assault on Earth before their parental figure comes in and makes them stop toying with another sentient species.
There’s also the idea they just want to test these power granting abilities, for some reason. Maybe the aliens are morally confused and want to grant themselves powers, but are using Earth as a test whether good or evil powers are the way to go. Maybe it’s a case they’re just seeing how humanity handles having these powers and also not having them, as Kevin is clearly being tested because of the UFO with the mini-van steering. Or maybe they’re testing these powers, not for a reality show, but for a scripted show or story, which I will admit is not a huge distinction, just kinda rolls off the idea of La Cebolla being a failed experiment running akin to scrapping an idea before it reaches a level of actual production.
I do think the TV producing angle is a very solid theory, though, since I definitely overlooked some of the stuff that would fit with producing a superhero TV show- creating costumes and having consistent phrasing used, akin to a catchphrase or a speech delivered once an episode.

Hmmm… This is a decent theory. It’s creative, somewhat unpredictable, and keeps things interesting with proper setup and payoff.
However with my limited knowledge of Hamster and Gretel, my theory is that Aliens 1 & 2 (do they have actual names?) are testing Super Powers on humans as test fodder, and the real reason they’re giving out powers is due to some form of war their race is in. It makes sense because you would have to be a madman or named Jekyll to test something this risky on yourself, and what’s better than testing something potentially dangerous on yourself? Testing something potentially dangerous on a lesser life form, of course! That’s how us humans test drugs, with literal and figurative lab rats.
I understand why everything looks bad, Dan and his team purposely made the show bad to illustrate the themes of a superhero TV show and single-handedly fooled everyone, he made the lessons and themes corny because a lot of comedy shows are corny. The 2nd Dimension was right!
Awwww man, my theory was that Kevin was gonna be the aliens Ultimate experiment and gives him superpowers for evil and use him as a pawn.
But this theory makes more sense because aliens don’t sound evil and most of the time they are use for comic relief. They don’t even know why they’re laughing evilly.

Sad truth is that Kevin wasn’t suppose to have superpowers. The other truth is that the aliens gave Hamster and Gretel power because they will have a greater evil and the villains they gave powers to were just her training for the battle.
Hamster and gretel is just amazing and the aliens that gave hamster and gretel their superpowers must be more then what they seem so I hope to know more about them! 😍❤👽🤣🛸
I kinda hope it's not a TV show or something sinister right off the bat.
You know, I can already see how the season will end. Considering the track record of the Disney TVA shows, notice the season 1 finales have a formula. Basically, someone the main protagonist cares about gets abducted by the main antagonist, and the main character has to go on a quest to save them. It happened in Amphibia, The Owl House, DuckTales, even TGAMM. So I feel like the season will end with probably Kevin getting abducted by the aliens and taken to their home planet. Hamster and Gretel will have to save him, and meet the true main villain. Who knows, maybe that's the reason for a P&F or MML crossover?

@@kelsey1467, Molly McGee will have serialization, just not as much as usual. It will be mainly episodic, like a Saturday morning cartoon. Disney is focusing more on episodic cartoons with minor serialization, because there easier to promote.

@@kelsey1467, personally , yeah I'm loving Hamster and Gretel (Even though last week's episode "Earworm" wasn't good imo). I love how charming and hilarious it is. And yes, Kevin and Gretel's relationship, when it's focused on, is the best part of the show. I think the series will have an overarching antagonist, but since it's ripping on the superhero genre, they'll be multiple villains. But considering Disney TVA's track record, there will be a main antagonist eventually.
Perhaps there testing out a superpower giverinator on humans before using it on there own species. Sometimes H&G are the main subjects for testing superpowers, while there rogues gallery are the punching bags, and sometimes its the other way around.
Them wanting to create entertainment for themselves reminds me of the Gods of Greek Mythology who’ll nudge mortals into the right direction to drum up some drama.

I hope they will build on their Villians. Many Villians got so much more interessting after what happend to them when they where defeated. So I hope like in Kim Possible they are not just a Monster of the Week, but get brought back later.

This might be a stretch but in uf uh oh at the end Gretel and Kevin's parents leave the table. Then after Kevin and Gretel discuss the scene shifts to show the aliens and the aliens both sound like Kevin and Gretel's parents. They could be their parents or something along those lines
What I think is going on, is like what you said but different, the aliens want Entertaiment.

My theory is that it is something like Syndrone from the Incredibles. With each test they send different powers. Maybe to conquer a planet, but your theory makes more sense.

Personally, I didn't watched the episodes in a whole yet, but I have a theory... The aliens testing the "Good triumph evil" theory😅 I mean, seemingly they choosed two very unlikely heroes, EXCLUSIVLY telling them to be good. They don't wait for others to decide, what they want to do with it... But you could be right, maybe a mix of both😃

I think the aliens also made special cells for The Destructress and Fistpuncher and gave them to the prison so that they wouldn't interfere with other episodes. Maybe the reason that they managed to escape prison was that the cells were opened remotely by the aliens.

I don’t think they’re doing a reality show mostly because I don’t think there’s been any evidence of spy cameras or lights for when they’re inside plus with all the other weird villains throughout the show You would think they would have more cameras plus with whatever Phineas Ferb and milo are up to you would think they would try to their probability stuff to cause a little more chaos and about the whole Phineas and Ferb Affect I like to think it’s more than due to a lack of knowledge from the cast and I see it as something that causes the clean up most the time

Personally, I question whether it's actually aliens at all. It may actually be some kind of experiment by a Government or an individual. It could even be Doofenshmirtz using a disguised voice and the woman could be Vanessa or his wife doing the same.

Here’s my theory I think the aliens are testing hamster and gretel to become hero’s to save earth from a orange juice mistake made by one of them or their home planet from being destroyed so their leader sent them to make a hero’s to save the planet but since they pick a child and a rodent they are testing them or for the earth hamster and gretel need to save their planet from being destroyed by a HUGE fret so they gave hamster and gretel powers but the fret copied the ship and us giving powers for evil and there 2 ships 1 for hero’s 1 for villains they also might can copy humans and stuff so they made evil versions of the aliens

i don't think it is that exactly. If it was a reality show then the failure which involved a fellow TV star even an Earthling one would have had more effort and drama to it. For example, if the problem with the earthling was crying, a power set of tears would be more thematically appropriate. The powers have had no qualms of going against humans or on humans.

the s1 finale had the aliens say that they gave random things power in order to prepare hamster and gretel for bigger threats, but at the same time that wouldn't explain why they specifically told fistpuncher and the destructress to use their powers for evil
certain episode titles from s2 indicate that kevin will eventually gain powers, which could indicate that at some point the aliens' admission of never intending for kevin to get powers will come into play
what i think is likeliest is that the aliens are simply giving things power at random and are making this whole bigger threats thing up as they go along, because in U.F. UH-OH they say they have no idea what they're planning
