@@zeeb0w my problem has been for a while that I was not sure which small guitar to buy. My hands are rather small and I now play a regular flamenco guitar and a folk guitar Eastman but since the lowden Sheeran 😉 I looks that the Sheeran is a super instrument.
@@manueldelen8361 the sheeran has an approximate 1.75” nut and the gs mini has a 1 11/16” nut, i play mostly finger picking and have small hands, so i prefer small body guitars. i like wider nut widths bc it is easier for me to play fingerpicking, i felt like the gs mini was too cramped. the sheerans have improved their quality recently too, my mom has a W04 and the action is much lower than how mine came. for the money, it is similarly priced to a taylor guitars GT; but i haven’t tried it yet. i own a few lowdens, but i learn all my songs on my sheeran. i just did a cover of ed sheeran’s new song - so you can hear how much sustain the bone nut and saddle added!
@@zeeb0w The “ problem “ is to find a Sheeran Lowden. Recently I found a shop in Lille ( france) lets go ...and try. Thanks to internet how amazing to find such a correct en honnest information
@@manueldelen8361 i agree, they are hard to find. my closest dealer is over 10 hours away :) the sheerans aren’t “entry level” lowdens - they’re different but both have excellent sustain. the size is incredibly comfortable for me, i’ll have a wee lowden 12 fret sometime next year and i’ll record the difference (it’s also like 5x the price of a sheeran) you can always ask me questions and i’ll do my best to answer!
That Taylor is so far out in front.

@@zeeb0w I have that GS Mini E KOA and I love it but I was expecting the Lowden to floor the GS, if we are talking about relative equals which I think we are because the GS is a cheaper Taylor and the Lowden is the Cheaper Lowden, I would say they would sit right beside each other in spec and function. I recently took delivery of Taylor 812ce 12 Fret DLX (X Brace, I know it's a personal choice) because I could not stretch to the Lowden I wanted that was equal to this Taylor, I think I made the right choice.
@@ragetobe awesome! the gs mini in this video was a couple years old at the time and the sheeran was days old. the sheerans aren’t really cheap lowdens, although the body dimension and hand cut top bracing is similar. the sheerans are essentially the stage models which ed uses, which have a shallower depth to reduce feedback when using pickups. but i agree - the market segment would be cross shopping these. i love taylor 12 frets, i have a couple cocobolo X braced 12 frets and wouldn’t trade them for the world! thx for commenting and i hope you enjoy your new guitar!
@@zeeb0w Ed doesn't use the Sheeran guitars for studio or live work, he uses the Wee Lowden's or the S35's now. The wee Lowden was designed for Ed. If he ever used the Sheeran guitars it was only for marketing purposes. There is a video on the Lowden channel where George explains that he designed the Wee Lowden specifically for Ed. And if you watch more videos you'll see Ed's house is littered with Wee Lowdens and S35's but only 1 Sheeran which he was giving away in a prize drawn Lowden was hosting. I think there is some misinformation about this out there that leads people to believe they are buying the same guitar ed uses and they are not correcting it because it makes for better sales. Tried both, Lowden sounds awful compared to Taylor. Believe me.
