Billy...it's Celtic Thunder (with a K instead of S at the beginning). And they have LOTS of great songs...they aren't a new group and I am so glad you are doing this reaction.
Did you notice the name of the song is Seven (7) Drunken Nights but they only did Monday through Friday (5) nights? Oh, and it's pronounced Kel-tic, not Sel-tic. I love these guys. I sure miss George though. George Donaldson, one of the founding members of the group died a few years ago. He had a gorgeous voice and heart and soul to match.
There is another group that does the entire 7 drunken nights but it's a WHOLE lot different( more explicit) than this version. Personally i like Celtic Thunders version better
I love this group so much! But their first version was so much better 😭 basically after George passed away I stopped listening as much. He brought something to the group that was so special and I'll never get used to it without him 😭 RIP George
Night 7: Who was that man I saw sneakin' out the door a quarter after 3? That was just a tax man that the queen she sent to me! Well, many a day I've traveled, a hundred miles or more but an Englishman who can last til 3 I've never saw before.
This is why they were only allowed to sing five of the seven nights: And as I went home on a Saturday night, as drunk as drunk could be I saw two hands upon her breasts, where my old hands should be Well, I called my wife and I said to her "Will you kindly tell to me Who owns those hands upon your breasts, where my old hands should be?" "Ah, you're drunk, you're drunk, you silly old fool! Still you cannot see! That's a lovely bra that my mother sent to me" "Well, it's many a day I've travelled a hundred miles or more But fingers in a bra sure I never saw before" And as I went home on a Sunday night, as drunk as drunk could be I saw a thing inside her mouth, where my old thing should be Well, I called my wife and I said to her "Will you kindly tell to me Who owns that thing inside your mouth, where my old thing should be?" "Ah, you're drunk, you're drunk, you silly old fool! Still you cannot see! That's a lovely tin whistle that my mother sent to me" "Well, it's many a day I've travelled a hundred miles or more But testicles on a tin whistle sure I never saw before"
That was the first song/video I saw of theirs. Someone on FB shared the link to the video between Thanksgiving and Christmas of 2014 and I was hooked on their music. I didn't learn about George's passing until the Spring of 2015, when he had been gone about a year. LOVE their music and miss George.
So you've already been called out on the name...lol. Place in the Choir, Black is the Color, and they also have covered I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
Saturday - he asks whose two hands those are where his old hands should be, she says it's a nightgown, he says he never saw nails in a nightgown (you can guess where the hands were) Sunday - he asks what the thing is where his thing is, she repeats the whistle excuse, he says he never saw a whistle with a hair
It's my first time here, thank you for playing this I'm Irish and I live in Washington state and these guys used come and play in Seattle ever other year but the tickets cost about 200.00 a piece, too much for me,👍🍀
@billyyousocrazy few things They only do 5 bcoz they longer they go the riskier the song gets ( which ends up with them repenting on Sunday ) One of the members passed away ( George who does Friday ) Neil (the guy who does Wednesday ) was actually in the band not as a soloist he played guitar
This rendition out of all of them always hits me with the emotions. We have 2 new people who just joined (both named Emmet). The dad of the group (George Donaldson) had passed away. And Damien had recently come back. In the original acting, George would be the far left position and Keith (the guy with the guitar) would be the far right. Keith was the head upon George's bed, since they started preforming this song. It just kinda made all the fans emotional because it was still that little connection. And making Damien the "baby" was preciless because he is very literally the baby of the group 😂
Each item that each guy saw was the actual item or thing they saw, but their friends r trying to cover each other by saying “oh no ur just drunk and tired so ur not seeing properly” , but in reality they’ve been sleeping with each other’s wives.

Sea shanties are pretty good too. Went crazy with The Wellerman on tick tok.

George made the song as far as I'm concerned. He added so much to the group!
@@aimeegravitt4410 yes he did! No one can sing like he did
the reason they only did 5 is bcoz by the time u get to sunday u gotta repent for the stuff you did the other 6 ( including Friday and Saturday )
The Dubliners once said " the songs called seven drunken nights but we're only allowed to sing about five of them."
I love this group so much! But their first version was so much better 😭 basically after George passed away I stopped listening as much. He brought something to the group that was so special and I'll never get used to it without him 😭 RIP George
Yo Celtic thunder song that's a woman is a great song. You gotta do that one. Definitely do lots more Celtic Thunder.
1915 is my favorite song of Celtic Thunder.
Christmas 1915 by Celtic Thunder veterans reacts. Would be perfect for Saint Patrick's Day.
Do Volume I version it is much better.
You reacted to a song by Keith Harkin who's the guitar player in this video. Definitely worth reacting to a few more of their songs.
Love you doing these guys. They are FANTASTIC!!
The Sick Note- The Dubliners
Black Velvet Band- The Dubliners
Two of my favorite Irish songs
Oh, I got here late, but I'm hopeful to see more Celtic Thunder - Place in the Choir is fantastic. Heartland is absolutely beautiful as well.
Please could you react to Celtic Thunder - Turning Away?
Celtic Thunder!! ♥️🍀☘️
I recommend The Rocky Road to Dublin, Galway Girl, Voices, Ride On by them.
Thank you for reacting to this song it's one of my favorites by Celtic Thunder

Jack I would think that the reason they couldn’t do the other 2 was bcoz of the repentance clause they’d have to do on Sunday
love this they do the sound of silence that is so beautiful, thanks so much Billy would love to see you react more to them
You want to see real amazement bro r each to Celtic Thunder Amazing Grace

Saturday and Sunday, what he saw was way to riske to sing. Most groups won't sing those 2 parts.
I LOVE CELTIC THUNDER!
The original is sung by the Dubliners. Please try and react to the original
RIP George❤☹️

I love Irish Drinking songs. They are so much fun! Grew up listening to The Clancy Brothers and The Dubliners

Look up 7 days 7 drunken days and make sure it goes through all seven days then you will understand
It's pronounced Celtic Thunder, not Seltic Thunder.

Billy, did you notice they only sang about five nights instead of seven?🤣
They were too drunk to get the number of days correct😁😁
