    How do you remove heavy grime off of the stove tops? Rn I’m trying a 48hour soak in a Degreaser solution.

      Working for 20 years in a restaurant kitchen , and I tried a lot of different things . What works best ( at the moment ) is the basic prewash powder you use for your clothes . Most supermarkets sell it . I fill the sink with HOT water , add at least a cup of the powder, and soak the hotplates from the cooktop ,over night . I repeat the process in the morning , and take one after the other to get srubbing with steelwool and a scraper .

    Can you recommend a good commercial level degreaser? I just got a disgusting Wolf range from one of the restaurants in town. Needs some serious cleaning.

      Ecolab products are always great. To save $$$ you can buy Members Mark Oven cleaner from Samsclub- works well.

      For this project, we used Sanitech mark3 and MondoVap 2400 but for regular user -KleenJet Pro Plus 300CS works also well

    all that steam on those burners will eventually cause oxidation and soot build up in those burners. I've worked in commercial kitchen service and a field tech and and for OEM of commercial kitchen equipment. been in the business for over 20 years. This is one of the main reasons I get called out for ignition problems on units with standing pilots. I'm sure you guys do a good job but the average person will see this video improperly follow these steps and call me to fix their unit that isn't working after cleaning.

      I dont understand. if you clean the soot off the burners, the gas should flow properly.

    For a stove range that gets used everyday none of those steps would work when you have to clean the entire kitchen with multiple units,exhaust hood and floors. You really need to have good skills or you won’t last a day. No way 😂
