I have the same espresso machine and you should look into the pressure. Nothing bad but it affects the espresso and is an easy (and cheap) modification. Also, the tamp is terrible! I got a force tamp for consistent tamping and it sounds fun

Try the square ribbed silicone matts, many colours. I think those black chunky silicone dedicated for coffee are not quite right. Check them out. Cheap, they don't move.

I Think she was Not homeless. Its absolut normal for cats to get outside and go back inside here in Germany and the Netherlands. So don’t worry- she ist fine an happy to stray outside and not be locked up inside alle lifetime ☺️
