Pepsi Can On The California Zephyr | AMTK 160 Over Donner Pass | 2/11/24

AMTK 160, the Phase III Pepsi Can Paint Scheme Heritage Unit, came east out of Emeryville on California Zephyr Train 6. In addition to the notable leader, for Seaboard Air Line "Hollywood Beach" brought up the rear of the eastbound train, adorned by a classic SAL drumhead. A group of 3 of us followed the Zephyr eastbound out of Sacramento to Yuba Pass on the west slope of Donner Pass.
After leaving the Zephyr at Yuba Pass we intercepted the ZG2OA on our way back down the hill, and photographed the train at Newcastle.
