This is a Mercedes Compact, they will rust no matter what you do. When you have these small areas on the door the bottom of the car will be completely gone under the coating.
The reason why some of these old cars are still around is because the old-timers would pour a hot engine oil everywhere these drainages are, because the hot oil sticks to the metal like a paint. They would do it twice every year. But people nowadays don't have time and will to do it, and rather give money to someone else that will keep replacing the metal and repainting it constantly.

Takes us 4-5hrs to do real rustproofing on brand new RAV 4, CR-V or similar size small SUV in our wretched Rust Belt Eastern Ontario, where cars older than 15yrs old are complete disaster comparing to Central Europe. But we have one costumer still driving his '94 Civic with over half million km - it was rustproofed the day it left the dealership. A friend of mine when he bought his Toyota FJ Cruiser, he put the thing on the hoist, removed every suspension and subframe bolt out and reassembled everything with Marine grease. Sometimes we have subframe or suspension bolts the size of a finger snap off even if we use acetylene. A bucket of cheap grease is a very handy thing: saves your time and hearing when you don't have to use hammer or heavy power tools.
I used to waste so much time, money and energy on fixing my car from 1990. All cars have many drainages all over them from the roof to the floor. Water, salt, acids, gets inside there all the time, and the rusting from the inside-out is ineviatible. The only sure way to protect it from the rusting is to keep oiling those drainages about every 6 months with a hot oil.

Welding a 1 by 2 cm little hole in the right rear side sill of my Rover 75 costed Euro 400 , done professionaly . Thats why serious restoration is astronomicaly expensiv ! Waxoil or Dinitrol every year is much much cheaper ........😊
good job but to be definitively efficient, you should have put grease everywhere. grease et the only thing very efficient against rust. put grease between metal and carpet, inside door, behind bumper, behind (inside the car) the repair you made. For rear wings unreachable with a paintbrush, use an extender and poor old oil everywhere each year.
Not bad at all I like it but I think you should of made that corner piece on the car so that you could get the right jam and gap alignment but other than that great job 👏🏾
Szép munka, de nem lesz tartós, mert mindig elfeledkeznek róla, hogy a lemeznek 2 oldala van. A nedvesség pedig mindig be tud hatolni 2 lemez közé. Itt pedig kezeletlen marad a lemez belső oldala. Azt beépítés előtt kell kezelni.

Másrészt, ha olajat burítasz bele akkor a bejutó víz azt kimossa, és környezetszennyezést is okoz! Létezik jó, és szakszerű megoldás: az ajtóváz és a borítólemez belső felét zsírtalanítás és szilikonmentesítés után le kell festeni "2k korróziógátló, heggeszthető alapozóval" (az ajtóvázba itt fújtak valamilyen sprét, de ennél azért alaposabban kell a tartós eredmény érdekében.) Majd amikor a fényezés is teljesen készen van; nem olajjal! Hanem "üregvédővel" kell kifújni!, de ha belső alapozás nélkül üregvédőzöd az nem lesz tartós megoldás. Egyébként a lakatos munka szép munka! Szép napot! 😉
