Happy Birthday Pierce, you always will be my Bond from when I became a fan back in 1999 when I was 12 years old
Don't forget his official finale - Everything or Nothing PS2 game - which is arguably the best 007 game and his swangsong. Best 007 of them all - hands down - while not having the best films all the time - his portrayal is the best cinematic version we have got, or ever will get.
I dont care what any bond fan say Pierce will always be my number one bond.
I don't see the problem at all with Pierce brosnan. Perfect for the role, didn't play it campy but was still a lot of fun.

As a 16 year old in Dublin I was so proud of a Meath man being Remington Steele, so slick and cool and when Bond came and went in 86, i was gutted as you were until it came around again and wow what a Bond you were.... Happy birthday my fellow countryman

happy bday remington steele brosnan... you were born to play bond i dont care what anybody says, when i picture bond i picture you or sean connery and dalton. But you look like bond just how i think ben affleck looks like bruce wayne or batman, reminds me of the batman cartoon in a way. Thanks for being bond that is a womanizer and we just dont get that thing any more. And also has the awesome one liners which is always great.

Bt Craig was lucky enough to get good scripts. Bt average movies looks good bcz of Brosnan. He was born to play 007, intact too good to be Bond. Put Brosnan nd Craig in one room, he'll be people's choice by miles .
Actually no, Craig was offered a mediocre script and rejected Casino Royale (his first film in 2006), later producer Barbara Broccoli approached him again with a better & more polished script, he agreed to it when he finds the role challenging enough & doing something fresh and different. Another point to note is that, Craig has invested a lot of energy in his movies, brosnan is better looking no doubt but Craig worked hard to get the role, he became physically fit as well and maintained it well. In Quantum of solace (his 2nd film in 2008) after the writer's strike Craig along with director helped in writing department as well, he performed many stunts (car, boat & rooftop chase) by himself in that film as well. That's why Craig's bond films takes more time than before.
@@gauravtributes5023 the Broccolis were not particularly accommodating with Brosnan. They weren't too keen on the fact that he was actively producing and starring in movies outside of Bond, as they wanted to stick to their every-other-year release schedule. When Brosnan turned down the OG script for Tomorrow Never Dies, the studio and media portrayed him as being difficult (he also tried giving script and casting suggestions but made little headway). MGM/Eon stuck to the schedule so rewrites took place during filming, making it a difficult shoot. Before the end of his tenure, Brosnan wanted to try a more character-driven, world-weary portrayal, but the studio was more interested in money. Die Another Day became an overblown 40th anniversary tribute that Brosnan just went along with in hopes that the next movie would be different (in his DAD commentary, he acknowledges it devolved into CGI silliness). The OG Casino Royale script was written with Brosnan in mind, then scrapped once the producers dumped him. Brosnan was surely never as physically fit as Craig (it seems like all leading men these days are expected to look like they live in the gym) but he got injured filming TND and DAD and didn't make a big deal about it. Craig never seems to enjoy a thing about being Bond. I respect him as an actor but a lot of people talk as if Brosnan just showed up on the set to make a cake of himself and ruin the series. Brosnan has shown with his roles in other movies that he could have better a more highly regarded Bond if he'd had good directors and better scripts.

Have to disagree, they rejected brosnan before (during Timothy tenure) and later asked him to be bond again, Barbara like him quite a lot.

We are comparing very different scenarios, when Craig turned down Casino Royale's script he haven't became bond at that moment, so it wasn't very difficult for producer's, but brosnan turning down Tomorrow never dies script during production isn't right thing to do, even Craig knew Spectre script isn't that great but he still went on with it. I highly doubt media was as harsh as they have been to Craig, he has a website dedicated to him named : "Craignotbond".

Well i admire brosnan, but he should have tried that during GoldenEye. That would have helped more than doing that in his last Film.

He must have already knew that when he read Die another Day script, it was hideous, although first half is decent.

Sean Connery was quiet fit in 60s, didn't remember any trend that time. Even Tom cruise doesn't have a gym body. I never heard Craig making a big deal of injury, it's media who continuously push him from day one, because he ain't a pretty boy who looks like a model.

I don't care about how much he enjoys or not, i care about his performance, only Connery and Craig we're able to show the level of confidence that i want to see as bond, and i am saying this as Timothy Dalton fan, Timothy is my favorite bond.

I never said anything like that, i admire brosnan but i never saw much potential of him in bond, even in his best moments. That being said, i enjoy his non bond film's more. I am sure if he got the right script he could have shown his potential from his scripts or director's if he founded a great one, Martin Campbell directed Casino Royale and GoldenEye, both bond actor's got the chance to work with him, both are considered one of the best in the series but you can clearly see the difference between the quality. I wish brosnan would have rejected GoldenEye like Craig did for Casino Royale, who knows he might have gotten better script.
