The bow tightness is a personal choice, with a tighter bow you will be able to get a louder sound nd slightly more pure notes. I play the fiddle, and recently have persued violin @ the college I atted. My teacher dosnt like my slack fiddle and says It gives it too much of that hickish twang!"

I think you forgot to teach part of the tune, its right after the first part and sounds like the low part of Leather Britches, just before the high B note part. Unless this part is just a variation of the first part.

That fiddle has GREAT tone....(it helps that your tone personally, is solid on). But it's truly a nice sounding fiddle.

is your bow tight. It looks very loose. how much do you tighten the bow. what do you recommend for starters.does it make a difference .
