I've also been having a hard time securing wire wheels but the harder thing to find is a set of hubs. We have a full set of model a wheels Maybe ill also give it a try but still have to find hubs also I like that double spare look it's definitely unique and sorta utilitarian looking but also that green paint and black rims make a neat color combo. Mint chocolate chip ice cream is my favorite lol Maybe that's why I like the colors
I haven't decided whether I prefer the appearance of the green wheel colour or the black. They both look right. I will have to decide before I re-paint the green wheels... Hmm
The extra spare gives the car a longer appearance. I had an accessory duel spare carrier on my 1919 model T speedster. I did have to install the tire bracket at a different angle. I cut out a small piece out of the top, bent it back and welded it in place so that the spares leaned forward.
I have adapted model a wire wheels to wood hubs with an adapter. I also have heard the concern about hub support. So I got the support rings sold for the peace of mind. Love the dual rears!!!!
They look great, typically the "concerns" people have about allot of things are not based on reality. Aren't the wires of the Model A wheel much stronger than the Model T ones? Seems they should hold up better on the lighter Model T. I've been looking for a set of Model A wire wheels for a Model T speedster project I've been collecting parts for.
I like it. To the untrained eye, looks original
Yes, I was kinda surprised how correct the wheels and double-spare look. The fatter tires don't look too 'hot rod', which is a good thing!
Really great video 👍 love your Model T, best to you and yours
Thanks, you too!
Great description. Looks really professional. Seldom to see handling things like you did it.
Go ahead. Looking forward to your new video.
Thank you very much! Watch for my follow-up next weekend.

Another great video... as usual. Cheers
Cheers R!

If I ever go on a long journey in the T, which I would like to do, the dual spares will give confidence. Otherwise, it's just for show.

They look pretty good. Probably not unusual back in the day.
True!
19-750 tires, i've run as low as 5 psi with no problems. They were older hard tires though, not young soft tires..
Yeah, the ability to run lower pressure really improves the ride! Thanks for watching.
my guy do you sell the double wheel studs ? i have a 29 tudor sedan
I might be able to help you somehow. Where are you located?
Thank You 😊
You're welcome 😊

Yeah, and there are a variety of MA wheel sizes to choose from too. Good luck with your project!
I was surprised that the two wheels (with tires mounted) MA 19 and MT 21 were exactly the same weight!
You made the double spare look good. Hope you don't need either.
Me too!
Good stuff, thanks. Cheers.
Glad you enjoyed it
Leave the model A wheels on the T, big improvement I reckon
I am really enjoying the A wheels. They ride better, and feel solid. Thanks for watching!
Good vidio. I have a 25 Sedan that I would like to put Model A wheels on it. Can you tell me where you got the adapters. Thanks
I got them from Amazon. 5x5.5 to 5x5, but check the description very carefully! There are many variants.
Thanks you, this is interesting.
Glad you found it interesting. Follow up, on road performance video coming soon
