Please don't do the surgery. PLEASE hear my story. I had rectal prolapse caused by IBS and bad guy bacteria. I was told there's no cure and I need surgery. I then reduced my Wheat foods and sugary foods. Increased vegetables and sour fruits. For Carbs I eat Oatmeal, Potatoes and Rice. IMPORTANT. I'm drinking 2 Tablespoons of Pure Olive Oil first thing in the morning. I make sure I drink warm water after every meal. It's been 6 months and my Prolapse is completely gone. Thank God.

Thank you for your response. Both Rectal Prolapse and Rectocele can be corrected. Therefore, we recommend a complete FPMRS evaluation to determine what you are dealing with specifically. Please do not “Cope”!! Instead correct.

How common for men? How common to poo blood every time and going toilet every 30 mins. I have a massive family with medical background and the something inside coming out is exactly what it feels like. Im a man what could this be? I've been hospital I've been doctors I've also been told I'm lying been told I'm attention seaking and many many more things. It really puts you off of going again.

I have mucosal prolapse but it hasnt affected me greatly(need to go to the toilet twice in an hr but no constipation). Is there a need to go for surgery?
I'm 15 and male, I get bullied for rectal prolapse. Feels a bit lonely because few people talk about it. I've had it for more than a year. I can't blame the bullies because I smell like vinegar, poop, and butt most days. And it's all because of my prolapse. I can't sit properly without leakage from my anus. Poop gets stuck in my rectum when it doesn't slide down easily. My sphincter feels like it opens when I sit. Now, I'm doing kegel exercises and I still need to work on my diet. I hope others with the same condition the best of opportunities to better their prolapses I'm jealous of other people who can sit properly without discomfort, of fellow teens who can go out with no shame in stinking, of the people that make fun of me. *Clarification*: I was not diagnosed with rectal prolapse, rather I have enough symptoms to say that I do have it.

It's sounds to me like you could have colitus.
That would account for runny bloody poo.
But what is the minimum invasive procedure does it have to do with a mesh?

Mesh is a very bad idea. People suffer from loose motion and extreme pain until they die.

Change your diet. Stop eating wheat based foods, coffee and sugar. Follow a Fodmap diet. Don't go for surgery.
