nah mate we were supposed to play like fa cup final even upgraded version of gameplay like fa cup final but we played below that level.in upcoming game we can play like that where we defend well and attack brilliantly.if ugarte come then we will be more confident on the ball casemiro was launchig ball in the air whenever he gets the ball and we lost a lot of posseson by that.we really struggle against fulham who were supposed to be bad on loosing of paulinha. we were bad yesterday.and lastly garnacho really miss the open post goal like rashford and mctominay did against city in community shield we need output from those player

Yesterday I saw 3 key things:
- mount grew into the game, and looked like him of old towards the end.
- the pressing by the attacking players was great.
- everyone else doesn’t give Man Utd a chance, which takes a little pressure off.
How.Lawrence is able to be complimentary towards our club while being a Liverpool fan is commendable.

Ugarte is key, he´s a massive Casemiro upgrade. De Ligt for Maguire, Zirkzee for Mount and as long as the right decisions are being made, progression is happening, we have to be patient.
maguire looked class icl was better then licha but i do agree we need another midfielder and zirkzee should slot right in

Ugarte is not an upgrade on the ball vs Casemiro. He’s just got fresher legs but technical ability Casemiro is better in my opinion

He is world class at covering a lot of ground and winning the ball.
He is only there to win the ball, shield the back 4 and then pass the ball to someone like mainoo who will progress it.
The player you're describing you want was Zubimendi, but Ugarte fits what we need way more.

Dalot and Martinez kept Traore quiet, essentially blunting Fullham's biggest threat. Mazraouie was our standout performer. Fullham controlled the first 20 minutes but Man Utd dominated the game. Ten Hag did admit the team wasn't ready due to lack of preseason training for, especially, the new recruits. Losing Yoro and Hjolundt to injuries was bad but we can be happy with our squad depth atm. Ugarte is a must. I really hope they do get Amrabat; he knows Ten Hag's system.
It will be nice to see Mainoo in more attacking positions, I think the kid has more goals in him. I can’t wait for them to get Ugarte. They are building a beautiful squad!!
mainoos main issue is he doesnt look for enough forward passes, hes capable of great forward passes consistently he just doesnt look forward as much as he should

We can see what the team is trying to do. The pressing structure, the build-up, the link up etc. It will be more consistent when we play some games and the players understand their roles perfectly. It is going to be an exciting season.

Not really. Mainoo & Casemiro is a good midfield. Mctominay is a good option to bring off the bench collier & Erickson & Mount will still need minutes. It’s no point having too many players.

I can see why Motta said Zirkzee reminds him of Ronaldinho. The way he runs with the ball especially. He's very relaxed. It's like the pitch is his living room. I watched him at Bologna so I knew he was a baller. But he's the kind of player that the glazers would have never looked at. Calafiori the CB Arsenal signed is also an unreal player fwiw.

He needed a big game but I think there were times when he got a little exposed. He definitely had one of his best games in a while and it was good to see him break the line a few times but on the turn he is still a bit of a liability.

Tbh i think onanas frustration comes from seeing maguire start tbh ,i know maguire looks good sometimes but hes a real.liability when trying to set up a high line ,onana sees martinez and other defenders hold a high line then sees maguire sitting back and taking way to many touches on the ball before passing ,i think if we see de ligt and martinez as our 2 cb starters next match then onana will be less frustraited

I’m very happy with our transfer business so far. With that being said the players we have recruited are quite young, and with that brings a great deal of risk to the table. Patience is needed from both club and fans alike if we want to improve and continue progression

Coz I think Manchester City are better, Arsenal are better, Chelsea are marginally better and the unknown right now is probably Liverpool coz if Liverpool pick up where they left off then I think the top 3 spots will remain taken between City Arsenal Liverpool in whatever order.

He retains the ball a lot and disrupts the tempo from the whole team, he tries to be a ball playing cb, but he lacks the decision making to do so. He had a great defensive performance but is not quite what the team needs on possession, great back up for de Ligt but shouldn’t start most games.
Erik Ten hag and teammates are shouting at him to get push up because he creates the disconnect between the midfield and defence both in and out of possession

I see the zirkzee signing very strategic. Zirkzee and Hojlund are two diffrent kind of players which would help tweaking the attack according to the game. Straight forward counter attacking option with rashford hojlund garnacho. More technical forward combination of may be sancho zirkzee amad or mix of both. I think that'll tactically benefit MU in attack if ugarte comes in MU will have a great squad

looking at the game yesterday i felt like we needed a ball playing dm more than a destroyer like ugarte. the way we are trying to play which is quickly transitioning from defence to attack, a ball playing dm like zubimendi will suit more than ugarte. i know zubimendi isn't available but there could be many more in market of similar ilk.
I agree with a lot of the stuff you’ve been saying about united recently. I’m a united fan myself, but the jury is still out on Zirkzee for me. He reminded me more of Fellaini than the players you mentioned.

Slabhead is a fundamental problem for us. Hes a decent defender for a deep lying team but you cannot play a high line w him. He must not play. It exacerbates the midfield issues.

It’s the opening game. You’ve got to be happy with 3 points and certainly compared to Fulham at home last season, which was hideous, this was decent. United probably should have scored 2-3 by 60 mins in. There was a dicey period 2nd half because United didn’t score but they rebounded well, Zirkzee bagged one; Garnacho should have scored. Xg was 2.5 - 0.6 or something similar. And there are STILL big players missing and more to come in.
We ain’t winning the league but, yeah, as the man says ^^ ~ don’t sleep on us either.

We got 75 in Erik’s first season. Comparing the two squads, I don’t think it’s far fetched to say we can get even above that considering if we bring in a midfielder or two and the injuries aren’t as bad as last year.
