I don't think Monster Jam would've been where it is now (in terms of how much the game of freestyle has elevated to and also other aspects) without Max-D and other several trucks too, but none as much as Tom Meents and what he was able to do in that truck (but I mean, Ryan Anderson in Son-uva Digger also elevated the game of Monster Jam as a whole for 2-wheel skills). Tom's impact to all of Monster Jam will never be forgotten :D
Wahoo, it's everyone's favorite futuristic monster truck! I remember seeing a lot of the classic highlights of Maximum Destruction back in the day. My dad and I also had a great time seeing Maximum Destruction go wild at many Monster Jam World Finals events during the 2010s decade. With Tom Meents being retired as of this year, Maximum Destruction is definitely an iconic monster truck we all will miss, but still love as time goes on.

Technically it’s a 9 Time Champ. 3 came with Goldberg and 2 with Team Meents.
So disappointing, We will never get this again. Early 2000s Monster Jam was like lightning in a bottle. They need to bring some type of legacy route to the series.
Now this was the real monster jam this is what they need to bring back!
Can't feld see how good it used to be? We can bring it back. But it's not as profitable even thou you'll have more fans.. it almost hurts to watch the old days and know they will never come back to making monster jam great again
You said it man. Bringing back the carnage would absolutely bring more fans back to it and make it more profitable than I’m sure it is currently. Look at the stands nowadays and they’re almost half empty, back then the stadiums were completely packed

I think they should get rid of it. It was Tom’s truck. No one but Tom and Neil could master the Maximum Destruction style. Should go with Tom.

in any lineups for next year, I still wonder what the truck’s future will be like.

If not, it’s been a life well enjoying this vehicle.
For 21 years, Tom Meents winning 9 world championships, and made great memories with maximum destruction. It will be sad to see it finally retire.
Nice they use the ACTUAL name of the truck. And show highlights from when it and Tom and Neil and company could live up to it, due to lax safety regulations. People almost forget these things can fit around pretty well on three wheels.

The day Max-D retires will be one of the saddest days in Monster Jam history. I really wish Tom didn’t have that career-ending crash in Indy so he could properly finish his final season! I wish Colton would take over Max-D and continue his father’s legacy for years to come.

The never thought I’d live to see the day Max-D officially retires. My whole life I always felt that this would be along with Grave Digger and El Toro for trucks that were destined to never retire.
