  • In this video I show you the LEDS I use and Install them into the trunk and Vanity lights of my 2007 Corvette.
The Trunk is very easy to do and makes a world of difference in lighting up the entire trunk area with a nice bright white light.
The vanity bulbs are actually very difficult to do and must be done with caution. I was able to do the passenger side but did break the stock bulbs.
Check out Vette-lights.com to get your leds needed for this install.

I learned how to upgrade all the bulbs to LEDs in my 4 Runner, now doing the Vette. You create absolutely great instructional videos, step by step. Many thanks, will continue to follow your work.

You don't need to use pliers to take out 194 bulbs. Take a small piece of scotch tape and wrap it around the bulb, leaving a little tab for you to grab onto (you don't have to go all the way around, just get some good contact). This will be enough to pull the bulb out if it isn't fully rusted in place.

is there a plus/minus sigh on the body of the bulb holder so we know which way the bulb goes in?

Try wrapping either wax string or dental floss around the bulb. It worked pulling out my overhead map lights in my 06 vette

I have replaced every incandescent bulb in my Vette except the Vanity lights. I have the new tiny led's but haven't been able to get the old ones out. I'll try some rubber tipped needle nose.

Thats awesome, I love leds and can't stand incandescents either haha These vanity were the absolute worst to do! I have read that the rubber tipped needle nose still may not work but some have been able to do it. I tried double sided tape and electrical tape on my pliers with no luck at all. Let me know how it works out for you! Thanks for watching!

The Ronin Chronicle a little late but maybe it’ll help someone out one day. I was able to get them out by sticking a small piece of 3m double sided tape to them leaving about 1” hanging off and pulling on that 1” piece. Same for the 192 type bulbs in the rear view. Hope this helps someone someday.

Have you replaced the HID low beams with 6000k bulbs? That's next on my list. There's a video on Corvette Forum that shows a guy putting duct tape beneath the bulb to catch the tiny screws so they don't fall into the back of the housing. That's the only thing that's been keeping me from doing it! That's why the owner's manual says "Dealer Install Only"! HID 6000k on order. ;-)

Bill Luster hey there! Thats an awesome tip with the duct tape! Thanks for sharing that! That is actually my next project! I have the kit already too. I was gonna go to a shop to raise the car and remove wheels just so that I can get a good camera angle to film it. I just have to find time and hope the shop isnt busy for me to do it. Hopefully this weekend though!
