Cho'Gath is like that old dog you love so much but really i wonder how its still alive
That’s Shaco for me, expect he is a dog that bites and you are low-key waiting for him to die
Lmao, that is very well said, love it
Feel like that fits KogMaw a little more but yeah it still works.
@@khailils446 shaco needs to be put down
@@khailils446shaco is the 20 year old chihuahua that knaws at your leg but comes and cuddles with you
I think Cho’gath should be found in Bilgewater, so that eating the giant sea monsters there explains his size. Plus emerging from the sea would be reminiscent of Godzilla
Instead of that why don't we tie in his deep sea skin with bilgewater. that way we have both the original void cho gath and a dilgewater skin.
@@Deltastorm384canon skins are always nice
@@Deltastorm384 maybe. But some aquatic aspects now being part of his design would help tie the void to the lovecraftian aspect of unknowable horror. Plus I’m still imagining a primarily scaled Cho
@@Deltastorm384 Okay but how about no, and instead Loch Ness Cho'gath becomes Giant Enemy Cho'gath and is a Kaiju. Crabgot is the only skin in that line and Cho is literally the perfect champ
That's a great idea! What if maybe he was connected to Ibaaros, the darkin harpoon from LoR. That could tie into the story! Ibaaros fought a deep sea void monster and became corrupted and turned into darkin. Ibaaros is then sealed away in his weapon, lodged in the chest of the beast he defeated. And then after Ibaaros's awakening from Xolaani/Aatrox's influence , the surge of life would also give the void corpse a surge of life and reawaken it! He could be redesigned with bilgewater sea monsters in mind and it also fits with Bel'Veths theme of the "Lavender Sea"! That would be pretty cool maybe
i hope he gets a rework like fiddlesticks, make him more modern but dont change him so much, i think with just some more fluid animations he would feel amazing to play.
As if fiddlesticks isnt a completely different champion lmao
@@piginasuit6323he really isnt tho. They made him from a lightweight joke Character into one of the most menacing characters that wouldnt be out of place in say "dead by daylight" but somehow kept all of the character tropes except for the bouncing crow
@@piginasuit6323 i was thinking more about gameplay, do not change his abilities to much, just make them less clunky to play, forgot to mention that lol
@@piginasuit6323 What do you mean by that though. 3 of his abilities have kept their identity more or less. Its only his E that had the most significant changes
@@piginasuit6323fiddle is basically the same, just modernized. Q is still point and click and can fear, W is still a channeled drain, and ult is literally the same with the added bonus of sometimes fearing. His e is the ONLY major change and his passive (but his old passive barely existed, lets be honest).
Cho'gath getting mostly just updated bit mot completely altered? Yes please.
I love the IMMEDIATE cuts into death screen, when Nicky notices a gank. The one there with Pyke (4:42) was perfect cut, hilarious 😂
He needs a VGU on the scale of Fiddlesticks. Chogath has a solid concept so I would hope that whatever VGU he is destined to get doesn't change him too much.
In regards to big champions in MOBAs, you can make it work, and Heroes of the Storm did that 3 times. There's Ragnaros who can take over a fort and have a new set of abilities, Alexstrasza who can turn into a big dragon temporarily and Deathwing, who is just a big dragon the entire time. Sure, they are still not as big as in their lore, but it still makes you feel like a huge, powerful monster on the battlefield. To be fair, it might be weirder for League to do something like that since there's actually quite a lot of champions who are huge in lore, so making just one or two of them bigger would feel out of place, but I would still love to see them implement a true growing mechanic with Cho'gath (but yeah, it's never gonna happen).
fuckin love playing dw in hots, big fuck off dragon, love just casually walking away as they throw a million cc at me and don't even get me half
@@traaashe2162
Death Wing is fun to play as and against, especially when I'm playing Quira. Pure dopamine bleeding the big boi.
@@CoolColton947 i assume you mean Qhira? But yea that bleed is a doozy, but personally I’m more scared of like, people with poison damage or whatever u call it, Nazeebo for example with the frogs. They do a lotta damage.
An opponent Artanis misdirecting his E towards me: "Guess I'll die"
a few days ago, i've seen a post on r/leagueoflegends that gave me an idea of a concept for a cho'gath rework.
basically it was a post about demons in league, particularly primal demons. the poster talked about the known demons and theorized about the other possible primal demons. one of which would be the demon of hunger.
Hunger is a feeling that everything living feel, and like fear it's one of the basest feeling anything feel. like the poster say : it's hunger that drives the predator to hunt and it's fear that drives the prey to run away. A demon of hunger would be very strong, maybe on par with fiddlestick, but where would it be? what would it be doing? Turns out there is one place in all of runeterra that is deeply linked to hunger, the void!
so what if there was a demon of hunger and it went to icathia because of the hunger it felt coming from the void? It then found a small voidling cho'gath and bound itself on it. that would explain how cho can grow at such disproportionate size, because he got a god-parasite inside of him eating him from within and driving him to eat more and more. it would be interesting to see a design revolving arround voidling + demon asthetic, add in character traits linked to hunger and im sold. moments like this makes me wish i could draw.
tbh with the add of bel'veth i was happy to have a voiceline mentionning him.
After that i've heard a theory about the meaning of the number of letter with void champ.
More you get, more the creature is consider powerful with bel'veth being one of the 4 commander (or something like that) (and both cho and bel have 7 letters, could talk properly and is a treat that could dominate the world)
But yeah this might not be true and im sad because i love my big boi.
One thing that I like about Cho'gath is how well he embodies his power fantasy of being a giant monster that walks toward his prey and eats them. He's not fast so he slows down his target instead, and his roar means that they can't do anything but run. It's a simple design but it works.
I’d feel an ASU would be better for Cho. His kit is fine but making just look better overall will definitely be nice to have
sadly thats the expensive and slow part. Think about how many skins they need to do for him.
@@exoticbreadstick8661 yea I know
@@exoticbreadstick8661 and then they make an ASU for Teemo, make a theme song and remake every art of skins and skin model. Idc anymore Tencent has unlimited money they should be ashamed for not making an ASU for all champs as old as Cho'Gath
Cho'gath is a raid boss and thus should be a raid boss in terms of gameplay when updated. Maybe take inspiration from HotS and let all of his basic abilities have a charge for enhanced effects, and a passive that helps him shrug off hard CC (like riot said they liked in the past). Hes a huge, unstoppable monster whos sluggish movements forces the Cho to predict foes and forces foes to predict him.
If Riot calmed down on skins instead of making over 182 in a year maybe make 120 skins (10 skins a month) maybe their is a chance we can have 1 or 2 vgu's a year. I mean their are at least 7 different characters that need a vgu. I think if riot can manage their content a little the cho gath vgu can happen. Or at least do as many asu's as they can. I am hoping that maybe after they release the Painter and the vampire we can replace the champion releases with vgu's.
If they slowed down on skins and put their focus elsewhere, they could massively improve the game and launcher, and maybe get rid of some of the spaghetti code. But they won't do so, since skins bring them money. VGUs sadly don't.
Skin team and the amount of skins produced has nothing to do with VGU speed. Most skins are outsourced already so the impact on other things is minimal. It's also why during covid, when production slowed down, Skin production stayed the same.
Man superslime always make the best memey fanarts

Cho might look like a weird Violator lobster thing straight out of a PS1 game, and have no lore at all, but he's one of my favorites in the entire game: grows bigger and stronger, has a lot of builds, and it's a freaking kaiju from another dimension!
About his VGU, yeah, he's been high on the list for a long time, and they've talked about evolving with stacks, but at this point and speed I think his chances are super low. My hopium for a modern Cho VGU using Medaforcer's design and keeping a good part of his gameplay (like Fiddles or WW) will always live though 😢
Cho is near and dear to my heart too, also my first champ all the way in S2 - those were the days
Your cho' gath vid is the video that got me into your content! Also, cho was the first character I unlocked in league. He has a special place in my heart, and I really hope he gets the rework he deserves
I love Cho (I love monsters in general too). He was my first purchased champion and if he will eventually receive a VGU I gonna be in seventh heaven... but the Watchers only know when that will happen :^ (
Playing cho'gath with his default skin after seeing and using broken covenant for a While, it's weird
But cho'gath is very fun to play imo, and I'm really hoping he gets a VGU or even a ASU
Also didn't belveth had a interaction with cho'gath?
@@Shabowdiadlo no it was an idea that floated around but didn't happen.
My Fridays are always so much better with the weekly casual champion reviews ❤
iirc Cho’Gath’s foot appears at the end of one of the TFT promotional videos from a couple months ago. I think it’s one where Sion is in the thumbnail? I’ll try to find it.
Edit: the video is called “My Honeyfruit | Runeterra Reforged Launch Cinematic - Teamfight Tactics” and Cho’Gath’s feet show up at 1:35. His first appearance in years, and it’s just his feet 💀
"And the ability to gain size" Thats when he knew he is into Inflation, Size Diff and Body growth
The reason I also started playing league this year was because of Broken Covenant Cho'gath. And that's the only reason. I play literally no other champion (except when they pick cho'gath)
I thinl cho gath should stay as a random void character in terms of lore, some kind of side boss you'd fight, however in terms of gameplay he's geniuenly getting outdated
Cho’Gath on rework or VGU should release with an Ultimate skin. He’s the perfect champion for it because you could make it so that at a certain threshold of ultimate stacks, he can change forms. Not just a bigger version of himself.
As a Cho’Gath one trick with almost a million points I have to sadly agree with the vgu argument, I think it’s eventually gonna happen but it sadly won’t in the foreseeable future. Will always love my big Cho boi
I love the cut from 4:26 to 4:28
Vi goes from around half health to dead
I think if Cho'Gath was similar to what nergigante is. In the sense of them being the balancing system could be interesting. So he'd keep the om nom nom world thing but he'd also be an unexpected enemy of the void. (Possibly leading to bel'veth making a deal with kai'sa and kassadin to seal Cho'gath away because he's kinda a big void oopsie that's somehow immune to bel'veth's void mind control.
Cho'gath longs to consume the world. But also to put a cap on the void, keeping it in check. Like an eco system balancer. It adds a level of grey area to a void champ rather than them being distinct good and evil while retaining most of his features and what little personality he has in game.
Perhaps growing in size is cho'gath's method of dealing with the void's rapid evolution but also adapting to what god level things are in runeterra. Cho is like "Gotta balance the scales" then finds out there are multiple gods in the freljord he gotta match that somehow.
That's my own take on what I would personally do with cho'gath
Wow people worked damn hard on those fan art.
I see you @Ratt
I just like cho,in game. I just feels like he can be a lot more scary,in dire need of a vgu, like corki and shyvanna
Chogath should be the nemesis for Nilah. She's all about conquering big monsters for glory. and Chogath should be her ultimate trophy. From the sea style Kaiju in Bilgewater and boom Nilah shows up to screw up his day.
Genius
And then cho'gath eats Water Samira, and she just... dies. Like Gangplank, but she doesn't come back.
Cho'gath can have her happiness demon, and we can have a voidborn experiencing true emotions!
Tah-dah, an interesting narrative!
I imagine sho being the futur ennemy of Aurelion, eating his stars away in space.
Making darkness in place where light was.
What if Cho'Gath was originally one of the creatures that came to be relatively early in creation alongside Aurelion Sol and, over time, became corrupted by the Void? His function could serve as a counterpart to Aurelion Sol's creation as a kinda intergalactic roomba, cleaning up the dead matter left floating in the cosmos
What if chogath is the void magnum opus? Like he is the first creation of the void but he is right now sleeping waiting for the void to consume all or IS the void itself which makes an interesting counterpart to belveth. Like belveth is trying to be life while chogath wants to devour it
@@tapgames3465 the watchers superweapon. Velkoz was a scout, kogmaw khazix and reksai are basically animals. But cho is a smart and extremely deadly weapon from the void.
@@exoticbreadstick8661 I like the idea of Cho'Gath as a "final form" type character for the Void.
-make it directly linked to the data collected by Vel'Koz(s?)
-add the evolutionary element from Kha'Xix, but simplified into an absorption of matter/biomass
-build off of Rek'Sai's matriarchal role in her horde to create a patriarch and leader
-Kog'Maw is a bit more tricky to incorporate. He could be seen as a botched attempt to create a focused weapon, a failure of intent? Hence, Cho is made with more direction, more diligently
*Unfortunately, this kind of character direction has historically been difficult to write for as a living thing instead of an object. At best, this could allow for a reflection of the Watchers' thoughts and beliefs through Cho'Gath, but it's not a great individual-minded approach like most of the other champions
It'll also be important, with this approach, to not overly belittle the meaning, strength, and character fantasies of the other void creature champions since it kinda sucks when you're told "yeah these guys are just chumps next to this guy, he's the coolest most strongest guy among them!"
To circumvent this, Cho's growing gimmick could come into play to balance out the amount of different powers he accumulates with the enormous effort and time required to get there
To me a Cho'Gath VGU/Rework would look like Dehaka, but from the void and of course with elements of a kaiju (even thought Dehakas lore is more or less like Kha'Zix lore, eat to survive and evolve). In the coop missions you can play as Dehaka and he also has a mechanic that collects essence and grows bigger, so big in fact that he becomes a one man army in an RTS and has godzilla music when he reaches thay size.
That is how I'd imagine a Cho'Gath VGU if they don't want to change his lore too much.
“Uh oh” *death screen*
Cho'gath is literally just a Carnifex from Warhammer 40K with an evil "rah rah big monster" voice.
Cho'Gath was the first champion that i liked using and would regularly pick back when i started during s4. Just sad that he's so behind polygon count wise
This got me thinking on ways to make his size change a bit less of a problem late game. Maybe the more stacks he has the more tenacity he gains? Up to a cap of course, but I think that would be thematic in that it’s harder to stop a beast that size. Just a fun idea to throw into the internet. :)
Corki exists in universe. He was in one of the legends of runeterra cinematic shorts.
I think that if nothing else, when/ if he comes to Legends of Runeterra, that will be a cool look to him. They did a great job with Nidalee so I’m interested to see if they come up with a new design
I think the best way to get Cho Gath a visual and lore update is for the creators of Arcane to incorporate him in the events of league, which when think about it, it’s not a bad idea considering how well Arcane is doing.
I believe a nice rework idea for cho is to make his ult able to eat anything. Depending on what you eat you get an amount of stacks.
If you are behind you can focus on eating minions and slowly get stacks.
You can eat turrets similar to ziggs w and become way larger for some time like belveths ult.
4:40 is the best moment
I like to think chogath was what the ascended, malphite, and icathians fought against and he ended up eating so many people and became horrified by everything so he escaped back into the void wheres hes just eating constantly so he doesnt have to worry about being overpowered ever again which is why he doesnt have any lore because hes juts that old and also why one of his eternals is called quiet because he still hears everything that happened
I would make him a corrupt apesct or the first voidborn like the targons tell story's about him like he a myth like godzilla
Honestly, he doesn’t need a FULL rework. He just need a VSU he plays just fine
casual chap reviews make my Fridays so good thanks nickyboi
Chogath feels stuck between a warden and a juggernaut his his two really good CC moves and then a random ass garen ult which is best used to take objectives or in 1v1s
So, Cho'gath is responsible for the birth of Nickiboi.
Thanks Cho'dad
I cant wait for the corki video, I was a modekaiser OTP since s4 til rework and corki was my #2. once morde got reworked i became a full corki otp. I love to see people play him since he never gets much attention.
for sure getting a lot of attention now lol
I feel like lore wise they can make Cho like the former empror of the Void. who was overtaken by Belveth and in deranged last resrot began a never ending feeding frenzy to surpass her power. of course, he long forgot his source of hatered reflected it on the universe, vowing that he alone will hold the universe, one bite at a time. so none could claim his kingdom.
As a cho gath player, there would be nothing more disssapointing then for them to turn him into some generic monster like rek'sai. Whatever they do, I just pray they at least maintain some personality.
It's been 14 years since Cho'gath's release and he still looks almost exactly like a Violator from Spawn comics.
With how shitty Blizzard was in recent years, I wouldn't be surprised if they made an attempt to sue Riot because of how much Cho looks like a Zerg. At least it would be somewhat funny and could make Riot prioritize Cho'gath as a VGU/ASU
@@mikonyx7712 It could be the case. But than again as Nicky said too much work required for remaking every single one of his skin to the point that Riot could only slightly tackle just few things in his design rather than a full scale rework. Despite that i am still being optimistic about one day finaly getting his rework.
It would be cool if Cho’Gath was like Tiny from DOTA 2, where he starts the game as this cute little creature, but grows as he levels up, until by the end of game he’s a massive monster
Cho was my OG main, my friends told me he was a good Teemo counter with his E, and to max Q and E at the same time, go Rod first and that was it
Here's the thing, a VGU could still be in the works because as you said, three forms per skins and ten skins is a lot, especially if done right. And with the new hire and his contributions, it could still take a year or two for it to even be announced. Look at Skarner, he is still technically getting a rework, but it has been ages since it was announced. That doesn't mean it not coming, its just taking its time.
Updating his lore is so tragically easy- just lean into his age and simplicity. Turn him into one of the primordial void-born, and one of the most powerful beneath the watchers. Bel'veth crosses the street to avoid him because while she might have intelligence on her side, he's just too strong for a head-on confrontation.
His kit is just too iconic to change, I reckon. It works as well as it needs to and he has a clear game plan.
I genuinely hope that riot doesn't lean into the Zerg nonsense people seem to associate with him. He's old, strong, just intelligent enough to be menacing and no other voidborn wants to be near him. Kha'zix might be an amazing hunter, but he doesn't want that smoke. Vel'koz just inherently knows better. Kog'maw is just a baby who cares. And as said, Bel is carrying an internal contradiction where she's happy to say that she's the strongest void creature ever but in the back of her mind she knows about the primal hunger that stalks the parts of the void even deeper than she wants to tread.
Cho also had a minigame called Cho eats the world =)
YEEEEEEESSSSSSSS YOUR SOULS WILL FEED THE VOOOOOOIIIIDDDDDDDDDD
When i see a fed Cho´Gath i think the exact thing she said.
So.... Since Cho Gath is pretty shitty and I am bored and kinda interested in game design I am going to plan a rework for him:
-Passive. Endless hunger: Cho Gath gains "fed" stacks by defeating enemies (the stronger the enemy, the most stats he gets, as usual with most stacks). Whenever he gains stacks he regains a percentage of his maximum health and mana.
This stacks also increase his maximum health, size and the hitbox of his abilities (as they grow in size similar to Aurelion sol's E).
Additionally, whenever Cho Gath takes damage based on his maximum or current health, reduce it by 15/30/45/60% at levels 1/6/12/18.
-Q. Tendril rupture: Cho Gath roots to the ground launching tendrils underground to a position, when they reach the target, they erupt from the ground dealing magic damage, slowing and generating fed stacks if they are champions. Short after that Cho Gath pulls out the tendrils from the ground back to him dealing magic damage to any enemies still on the area and knocking them up. The tendrils also lash out when going back to Cho Gath applying the knock up and damage effects to any enemies on the path.
-W. Colossal scream: Passive: Cho Gath gains 5/10/15/20/25% tenacity
Active: Cho Gath starts channeling a scream (similar to Warwick), activate this again to release it around him, the longer it is prepared the greater the effect.
0.5sec: Small magic damage, weak slow
1sec: Small push back to the enemies, increased damage and slow
2sec: Silences for a short duration, bigger push back, increased damage and slow
3.sec: Fears enemies instead of silencing, even bigger push back, maximum damage and slow
*Note that even if this area gets bigger the more stacks Cho Gath gets, the current area of effect would be clearly visible through the animation so you can properly dodge it instead of guessing ranges*
-E.Devouring chitin: Passive: Cho Gath's chitin is a living being in itself and it is as hungry as he. Cho Gath passively generates stacks of "Devouring tendrils" (the rate and maximum stacks of this is dependant of the stacks of fed and the level of the ability). When Cho Gath attacks or is attacked, up to 2/4/6/8/10 tendrils will seek victims nearby (prioritizing targets recently hit by Cho Gath), consuming stacks of Devouring tendrils dealing a small amount of percentage max health magic damage to the target and healing Cho Gath a portion of the damage dealt. If the target is a champion it will increase the amount healed and will generate fed stacks. This ability has an internal CD of around 0.5 sec.
-R. Feast: Cho Gath, stands in place for a short while, charging a massive chomp, after which he will do massive true damage to all enemies in a "small" area in front of him. Any enemies killed this way give twice as many fed stacks.
If Cho Gath ever gets a PROPER VGU we could be looking at a perfect champion. Like an updated Jurassic, Prehistoric or Loch Ness would be INSANE
Would be cool if they made Cho just the void's runaway kaiju. Straight up too stupid to be controlled by the Watcher's or Bel'Veth, just consume and evolve, whether that's buildings, humans or voidborn. He could be the key to fighting back against the void is utilised by Kai'Sa or Malphite etc.
Is Chogath's concept of big cool playable monster in a game the same reason you like Skylanders too
Riot baiting us so many times with the VGU was the worst part for me ;( someday it'll happen, I won't lose hope ;--;
Also the video cuts were hilarious lol
My first main (before Lewis the gator) and he has been almost the same for 13 years now. Please Riot just give him the tiniest bit of love 😢
Cho'gath and Shaco are brothers when it comes to lore neglect.
Where do you submit the fanart. I meant to do one for this video!
Lux players when their 60th skin isn’t up to their standards: “Absolutely disappointing Riot you clearly put zero effort into this one.”

Hey Nicky, if you wanna start doing the casual reviews in the 2v2v2v2 mode i don't think anyone would complain.

Remember when we thought Jak'Sho's was a build up to Cho'gath rework, Sho'Jak, Cho Gath
Thoughts on the Cho'Gath redesign by Subjectively?
We needed more Warhammer references
Believe it or not i thought Cho 'gath was the secret VGU riot was cooking before they announced that said secret vgu was Jax.
He's the only void monster without any subtantial lore (dare i say even Kog 'maw has more lore than him) and the only champion that acknowledges him in modern days is Bel 'veth. Riot pls give him some love, at least use medaforcer's design cause that one is fkin badass.
Also they need to give more money to the vgu team, cause it's INSANE they're taking THIS long for poor Skarner, imagine how long it would be for cho 'gath or shyvana to get reworked...
They'll eventually do him, but I doubt we'll see it next year or the year after.
Volibear best bear sexy bear
i remember back in the day cho' R lvl 6 take like 90-120s cd when you use on a champion(it reduce 50% if use on minion/monster).
so early game use it on a champion is quite not optimal for his gameplay.
if u play tank and got bodied by the leesin jungle. even only 1-2 death is fall of the fucking cliff because you lose alot of heath each death. cap 6 lose 50% each death.
I am pretty sure that his name is an homage to H.P.Lovecraft's creature, the Shoggoth.
This would explain the Cthulhu cho gath skin
i would want a fusion of kayn's hybrid shit an kha'zix evolution so that when cho'gath gained stacks by eating stuff he can transform all his abilities 1 by 1 to either a cc (for tank) or a dmg (with AP scaling) focus so he can we the adapting monster that he is
I really wmhope one day he have a rework, and the only skill i will chaing for something more interactive maybe with is E, but overall stay most the same, just a visual upgrade
Cho is probably never getting reworked, especially if Skarner is anything to go by. It's been almost two years and all we have on him is "AOE Ult." I think Riot just doesn't like working on monster champions.
i expect this to be very good and casual.
My boi needs it ❤
Broken Covenant Cho'gath has the BEST splash art but in game is lacking polygons.
I said this earlier but I should have less skins and more vgu's again.
I miss playing my Omnistone Cho'gath.
23 champions before Nickyboi plays Ivern
4:43 dead bug leg twitch
I love that when you edit the sentences vi dies
Honestly, if they gave him a VGU, and made him have form changes I wouldn't ask for any skins for the next 2-3 years. Imagine if instead of single build on top of Broken Covenent Cho, he had a citadel with 10 stacks
The fact that Cho'gath doesn't exist is an interesting point. He litterally is just a zoom in of generic void spawn n°820592849 that is going to eat the world. Honestly at this point in time you could change the name into Ril'tjrot, and said thing could have the same abilities as Cho no problem. Void knockup, void scream, void spikes and voir E A T, not a single one of them is hinted to be exclusive to him.
"Cho'Gath as a caracter in universe does not exist."
What do you mean hes right there.
cant wait for my main to be covered on Friday 10 January 2025
💀
Cho needs some love
Nicky where's the Cho'Gath VGU, you promised
I think Cho isn't developed lore-wise cuz he hasn't appeared timeline-wise like he'd show up for the very first time at the height of a Void arc. Showing up to eat Runeterra and everyone has to work together to shadow of the colossus up him, or Malphite has a kaiju battle with him.
Make him bayformers' Devastator from the Void, Riot. Simply big and stompy grinder.
When people mention the idea of Cho'gath being too difficult to rework, I tend to strongly disagree. Riot is a company that has fallen into very cheap gimmicks to make them easy money, compared to the potential they can and have shown previously. Chogath is by far one of the most commonly m7 champs by most players in the game, due to their early attachment to him when they started playing. I dont think there is a clear statistic showing that, but you can ask just about anybody and they will say they have played Cho to a fair degree, meaning their is a world of popularity for him out there. Because of Riots antics, they only see the glass half full and tend to focus their efforts on either cute cuddly characters, edgelord male models, or sexy female champions because they see that sex clearly sells in their business. However, the part they completely exclude is the vast popularity of people who have affinity towards monsters and especially kaiju. Godzilla is one of the most influential characters in all of pop culture, and theres a damn good reason for that.
For Riot to rework Cho would be one of their most expensive projects to accomplish when it comes to champion designs, but by no means do they not have the budget or the manpower to make it happen the right way. They just simply make excuses why they dont want to, since its not easy money for their company. What Riot should realize is that Chogath could have the most impactful glow-up of any champion in the game if given the correct resources and respect he deserves. His kit, design, and gameplay potential could literally alter the meta of LoL, and thats exactly why riot should do it. Riot already said they opened the floodgates for overpowered nonsense to make it into their game, at least they can do it with a champion who secretly has earned them a good chunk of their players. If Volibear, Fiddlesticks, and Warwick remain the top 3 best reworks in Leagues history, then its no secret that monster champions have a place in Leagues roster and are clearly beloved by many. Literally the only reason they refuse to give Chogath any attention is because they let him cook too long, and now they actually have to put effort into making a character design, WHICH HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE SEVERAL TIMES OVER BY THE COMMUNITY. It could not be more simple for them to do, but Riot continues to deny that because its no sexy champ or cute character cliche.
I still have hope that one day, Cho will get his time to shine, but I believe the reason he isnt dives into the greater issues with League of Legends as a game and Riot as a company. new management and new lore-related goals would be a good start for chances, but like Chogath, neither are happening anymore. Maybe Skarner will be the turning point for monster champions as a whole.
MY LAS MY BOY MY MAN
I just gave up man, cho was the reason I started playing league in 2015, I remember watching him in the PC background during my computational class, the game isn't good enough without the lore, void lore. Now I don't expect anything from league
Ah yes my Main and the reason I'm addicted, I beg for a rework like no other...
i hope he becomes an ASU or even VGU character in the next 1-4 years
