Cam Sample Never Had a Winning Season in High School. Here’s How He Still Went D1

Cam Sample’s high school team didn’t win very many games in Georgia’s ultra-competitive Gwinnett County - a region that’s often referred to as “the SEC of high school football”. But a positive attitude and a continued focus on winning his individual battles helped Sample reach the next level.
Sample arrived at Tulane as an undersized, under-the-radar defensive lineman. Hard work helped him transform his body and elevate his play. In 2020, Sample’s 22.6% win percentage ranked number one in the nation among defensive linemen with at least 250 snaps. At the 2021 Senior Bowl, Sample won Defensive Player of the Game. Now, he’s eager to unleash his unique blend of speed, size, power and technique on the NFL.
