I just purchesed the Delta stryker 4.5x30x56 and it is just amazing. Better than amazing. I love this scope. Put it on my Anschutz 22wmr and am loving it.
I have to ask being 2019 now if you still feel the same way about your delta? still like it as much or found anything better? I am asking because I will be getting one around the end of this month if they still have them on sale .
Nothing wrong with NF. I have 2 of them, (2 Leupolds and 2 S&Bs). But I have 5 Deltas and think they give me all the features I want with a great mag range for a lot less money than the more famous US and German brands. I love the Stryker 4.5-30x56 HD for PRS matches and the wife and I have one each for our .308s. I just received the Stryker 5-50x56 from Optics Trade (a fantastic worldwide vendor out of Slovenia) for my CZ MTR .22lr. Sometimes want very high mag for those tiny rimfire targets at 50m but also want the wide view at 5x. 107 MOA of internal adjustment will also get the .22 out to 400m with a 20-30 MOA base. My new gen Stryker has parallax from 10 to 1,500 m which is awesome. Same for the other 2020 new gen Strykers. I am pretty sure the Strykers are made in the same factory in Japan as NF. I have also just received one of the new Delta Javelin 4.5-30x56 made in China scopes for a semi-auto .17 WSM. It is nearly as good as the Stryker for a much lower price and should do OK for PRS. Where I live in Thailand most people are shooting Vortexes because that is a trusted US brand that is readily available here. No one else has Deltas. I have no connection with Delta or any vendor.
reminds me of the salesmen in my area all pushing vortex and all saying the same thing you will grow out of it which stuck in my mind , being new to shooting i wanted something i could grow into as a shooter and with with and if i move out longer or longer i could still use. I do wish i had heard about and could find the delta before buying sightron.
Great review but I must admit to Being biased I also bought the delta Stryker 5-50 based on Richard Uttings review I bought it a year ago to use for club fly shooting mainly But decided to switch to use for hunting aswell most of which is at night The illumination of the center dot is excellent The main feature after the price almost 25% cheaper than the 15- 50 Nightforce competition is the bottom end magnification for closer hunting use I did have a niteforce 12 -42 but got rid as for my use it wasn’t hugely better than a 4.5-30 bushnell elite on aside by side comparison in day light and preferred having the lower bottom end for hunting
Thanks for your thoughts and opinions. If I may make a tiny suggestion... provide a view through the optics at the various magnifications with and with out illumination. Granted it will never be as good as the naked eye but it’s something more than nothing at all.... cheer mate.
Great video , I'm fortunate enough to own a nightforce atacr 7x35 and nightforce NX8 5x32 and I brought myself a delta striker a few months ago I believe both nightforce have better glass but for the money you pay for them you would expect that. The delta I was blown away with for the money I really believe it punches well above its weight.
I bought a Delta Striker after seeing your comparison, thanks. I find the illumination very poor, 11 settings and it is only visible from 11 to 7 and 7 can barely visible. Others, Paul Pattrrson, find the illumination good, could mine be defective?
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO 👍 PLEASE HELP!! I WANT TO BUY THE BEST HIGH POWER SCOPE FOR LR SHOOTING AND HUNTING... BUT CAN'T DECIDE WHICH ! I'm spoiled with zeiss glass, all my scopes are zeiss victory and conquest. Currently running the V8 4.8-35×60mm it has the most amazing glass I have look through, BUT It does not have elevation!! Which scope could I replace it with? I'm thinking: S&B PMII 5-45×56mm S&B PMII 12-50×56mm Nightforce ATCR 7-35×56mm Kahles 10-50×56mm Delta HD 5-50×56mm Leupold 7-42×56mm Which has the best glass of them??? All your advice will be highly appreciated Thanks
I'm totally with you on the Delta. Now, I've no doubt whatsoever that NF are very fine scopes, but I bought the same Delta that you have here, and I wouldn't change it for the world. I love the fine reticle that it has, with the illuminated "dot" in the center. I mounted mine on a Savage Mod 12 LRP in 6.5 Creed and use it to 1000+ yards without a problem. Well worth the money!!
Great review. Subbed. i am considering buying this for an FX Impact 35 cal., but I am concerned about the minimum 25m parallax if I choose to shoot under 20m distance. Any opinions on this welcome
Ek het ‘n Kahles K624i verkoop om een van hierdie Delta’s te koop. Nou as hy so goed vergelyk met die Kahles hoe kan ‘n Nightforce kers vashou by die Delta?
I bought a sightmark Pinnacle, and returned it as my Vector Taurus had just as nice glass, and better adjustments, at one sixth the price. I also tested my Taurus against an Athlon Midas TAC, and the glass on the Taurus blew away the Athlon. Vector is coming out with a 34mm FFP Continental Tactical for shot show 2020, which I will be buying for my new 6.5 Creedmoor when available. That model is supposed to have better glass than the Taurus, which I will need to see to believe. They use German Shott glass vs the Japanese LOW glass in the sightmark Pinnacle.
What your paying for in a NF is reliability. Both scopes are likely built in the same place in Japan the differences is the NF is then sent to United States disassembled and reassembled with some better internal components and then put through the toughest testing in the game. Your going to have less failures with a NF it’s not all about bells and whistles. And you really need to get yo the ATACR level in a NF to see the difference. I have looked thru your nightforce and Compared to my sightron slll 8 to 32 and the NF is a bit better but not worth twice the price but my ATACR 5x25 he’s on a whole other level. Once you get to that level above $2500 almost everything seems to be good that I’ve looked thru. Sadly I haven’t gotten to look through a Delta yet
@@jglassman1122 How far do you shoot? 95% of shooters will never use all the elevation available. I shoot to 1800yds with my win mag. With a 30moa rail, the Zp5 gives me 24 mils of elevation left. At 1800yds I'm using around 17.2mils. At 2000yds, I need 21.2mils. The Zp5 gives me more than enough elevation, if I need more, I'll use a 45moa rail. Either way you look at it, the Zp5 crushes and embarrasses the ATACR..the minute you look through the Zp5, you'd know you screwed up buying the ATCR. You should see what the Minox zp5 looks like at a mile with only 12x mag, it puts everything else at this price to shame. It doesn't help me shoot better, but it does help me shoot more comfortably. I get no eye fatigue with the Minox and adjusting parallax is the best out of any optic I've tried so far. The 7-35 ATACR was the same as the Razor Gen II as far as glass but no serious shooter will ever use more than 12-18x mag for obvious reasons. All will do the job, but the Minox does it clearer and more comfortably.
good video - i wouldnt be comparing a Delta stryker 5-50 sfp though with a NXS nightforce ... i would use a NF Comp for this review... having said that I agree I would still be choosing the Delta... its better quality than NF Comp in its build although NF Comp glass is brighter and perhaps slightly sharper if ur into that... personally i think glass is important but not the be all end all for a competition scope ... i only use March's and have 3 now because my gunsmith wouldn't talk to me if I used anything else and i guess i have come to love them as well.... they are completely handmade and lapped etc but that doesnt mean they are the best ... just that they are the most labor intensive in their production method so they do cost more than a NF and certainly a Delta... All three scopes are very good so each to their own - i couldnt see you going wrong with any of these brands
There are several makes and models of optics that I would buy before going with anything made by Nightforce. US Optics, S&B, Kahles all come to mind, heck, I’d even take a Burris XTRII before buying a Nightforce.
Not true. It doesn't need to be locking, and different eyes will need adjustment. Imagine being out in the day, get it focused spot on, sit in a high seat, the light fades, and what was great at 19.00, might not be perfect at 19.30. Locking focus went out with the arc, isn't necessary, and needs to be confined to history. Most top tier professionals favour fast focus, and rightly so. Don't get me wrong, it's not a be all and end all situation, but fast focus is superior.
The fast focus as well as the ocular housing are both set and forget. I like the nightforce style better BECAUSE you lock it down and prevent it from moving. There's never a need to change it on a regular basics, unless a different shooter uses that scope.
This is comparing a new scope to an older model NF. This review is apples to oranges, NF has models that would more closely compare.. I actually like the Delta although I would chose the Trijicon. While this review is detailed it is not relevant to this model
hi i just bough my 5-50-56 hd delta if you can tell me how the hell how do you put the battery into it .i think i know but i dont wanna make an expensive mistake.
Well i think its really what long range discipline u are shooting. I shoot Heavy Gun and F class. When I built my 7mm saum i was hung up over a nightforce 15-55×52mm competition and a March X 10-60×52mm. Due to the vortex scare gold eagle was not an option. It came down to warranty and i went nightforce, another reason was if you look at what scope was used most with top shooters in BR u will see its nightforce, with march right there close behind. So i would say there doing something right. I notice tho alot of people who knock nightforce are people who dont want to pay for them.
That is the old NXS series scopes. Not the top Night force scopes. Compare that with the ATACR model scopes. That is Nightforce top scope. I think you will change your mind.
Dziękuje za rzetelną recenzje polskiej lunety. Pozdrawiam serdecznie z Polski Tomasz.
I've had my Stryker for a couple of years now, and I still love it. Well worth the money!
Can you see the radical on low power

Delta Stryker H D 5 - 50 x 56 S F P
Best scope I have ever bought, £1’500 from Shaun optics warehouse.
No contest.

Thanks. Its good to see you are breaking the mould and at least seeing what else is on offer
Those scopes are made in the same factory in Japan
Ok, so after 3 months since the video, what do you think of the scope?

try 1 to 6 in "night" condition, you have night and day illuminations.

Who sells the Delta scopes in South Africa? Thanks
CMH Precision and The Powder Keg i believe, you can contact them👍🏼

Great comparison, by the way Nightforce is actually an Australian company.
Great comparison, I am about to buy one for varmint and I was comparing it with the Zeiss V6 for glass quality, I will appreciate your advice thanks
They are so close that you really need to compare them side by side.

Wonder nogals hoe hulle sal opstaan teen die nightforce.
you have to try the new Reiter 3.5-25x56 35mm tube scope from vector optics. I use one and it is stunning.
I bought a sightmark Pinnacle, and returned it as my Vector Taurus had just as nice glass, and better adjustments, at one sixth the price. Do you know what magnification the retical is at scale.....?
Kevin Tapp its calibrated at max power on second focal plane scopes. So for the Nightforce its at 22x👍🏼
nice job.
you definetely get a lot of scope for the money with these "up and coming" optics brands like Delta, Primary Arms etc.

chocoloco654 I’ve looked thru gen2 and think they are on par with atacr. But they have reliability problems. And I’m not a fan of the color.
chocoloco654 also the minox has far less internal elevation as the NF
