    I did gangotri to gomukh and back to gangotri same day took me 12 hours. It was hard. Main problem for me was the rocky terrain, because I was wearing casual sports shoes, can you suggest a good shoes for that.

      You don't need expensive shoes and gears to complete this trek.
      Trekking shoes( Trek 100 Quechua)
      Waterproof Warm jacket ( Normal Jacket will do fine)
      Fleece Jacket
      Raincoat
      Warm Gloves
      Warm Socks
      You'll get all these things under 5000. You can stay in GMVN.

      Yes but it needs preparation. For the matter, every trek needs at least a month's preparation irrespective of its grade of difficulty. I did three treks in a span of 15 days which included two medium altitude treks of 4000 and 4500 meters. These were my first batch of treks in the Himalayas. All these treks were accompanied by breaks where I also covered a full day drive of 300kms from Manali to Deepak Tal and back. All this with Crohn's illness but with two months of rigorous disciplined mental and physical training. The catch is to be consistent and then a three day rest before the trek. By the way, I covered Tirthan-Sainj Ookhal pass trek 9 days, Treks in Shangarh 2 days and Bhrigu Lake 3 days

      There's no restriction at all. If you're fit enough to trek (we can guide you with the fitness criteria), then there is no reason you cannot do the trek. :)

    Best time to visit this trek?

    • @Indiahikes
      @Indiahikes  2 роки тому +2

      If want to experience snow on the trek, May-June is a good season
      Sep-Oct season is without snow but you will get to experience autumn colours to the fullest.
      You will find more information about the best time here;
