Pogo Progression

  • Pogo drills have been one of the more valuable things that I have integrated more into my daily programming at MBSC and Movement As Medicine over the last year.
    ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These simple drills are an extremely effective tool to train tissue elasticity and recondition tendons and joints following injury. Developing tendon stiffness will improve improve elasticity and rate of force development during running allowing for more explosiveness and running economy.
    ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Often in rehab situations elasticity and power goes unaccounted for leaving the client susceptible to future high velocity tissue strain injuries due to the de-conditioning that occurs following injury.
    ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Try working some of this progression into your warm-up, plyo and rehab program and let us know how you like it!

This is highly informative and as a beginner trying to start running, I'm def going to incorporate... But the hopping across the screen is killing me 😂

Pogo jumps help to develop tissue stiffness of the foot/ankle complex for elasticity.
