I've been saying this a lot lately: But there seems to be this acceptance about Trump in 2025 that just wasn't there in 2016. I don't think Snoop does this in 2016. what i’m seeing here - not just with snoop but with other figures in general - is a realization that they need to go along to get along. it’s entirely self-preservation. they know what type of time this man about to be on. they know how they treat dissidents in russia, china, etc. they don’t want to be audited/investigated/harassed because they didn’t kiss the ring. they could afford to be so flippant 8 years ago. they can’t now. and it’s sad. not because of the ass-kissery. it’s about what this says of the state of our country that popular or powerful figures feel that they must surrender to whatever because of the threat of retaliation if they don’t.

Keep in mind that many of these celebrities, especially artists, were kind of already losing relevance. For many, business is "stable," but I ain't growing. Stagnation is the norm for many of them.
