I'm so stoked to pick this one up to add to my horde of stuff. Nice review as always, thanks.
Big fan of Imperial Assault. Excited about this expansion.
Been waiting for this for ever
I do believe that the companions have to spend an extra movement point to move into a space with another figure (even if other figures don't have to when stepping on them).
Getting both feet on the stand was a bit difficult and frustrating. But give the stand a little bend and it'll work.
Sam i always look forward to your videos but this one could have been better. You missed to explain what the bounty tokens are for, what they do and you had time to explain conditions that were already in previous expansions.... But it's cool video :) wish you have had finished reviews for all the other IA stuff!
wasn't impressed when my Gamorrean guard had a broken Pike when I opened the box, but it was an easy fix. definitely an awesome box
You're lucky. I had two Gamorreans, a Weequay, and Shyla arrive broken. Must've been all those heavy rancor parts rattling around.
subtrendy agreed. Minis tossed in one big back definitely wasn't the greatest of ideas. didn't help with the heavy rancor parts
Sam... can you join up the tiles with the first Imperial Assault? Just curious.
Which of the big expansions ist the best/should I buy first?
"Hut Missionaries"
I'd like to see that movie.
they said it was a hard position to keep.
And not a word about what the new campaign is like, or what it feels like to play the new characters?
I specifically stated in the video that this was for informational purposes...kind of like an unboxing video on steroids.
Oh, must've missed that. Apologies!
No worries!!
Sam Healey I take back my previous comment. Thought this video was a review even though it doesn't state that anywhere. I had the same feeling, which is that I wanted to hear your opinion but it never came.
I like that Mandalorian character.
Somebody convince me that the rancor is not over powered at ten points
Well, I'm going to assume that FFG has done far more play-testing of this than you have. So there's that. Reason enough?
Xavian Starsider well companies definitely have made broken pieces before
Any single unit deployment group suffers from action economy, even if they're extremely powerful. Sure he's tough, but he doesn't get the 6 actions per activation that a full stormtrooper group gets.
The Rancor's best ability might simply be its size. He'll be good at blocking off choke points- but he'll also be a target that's probably taken down pretty quickly.
No twi'lek dancer girls? Pfff, I'm out!
Too bad it doesn't come with a Jaba.
Was reading this last night. Apparently, if you are playing the enclosed campaign, you can't even get Jabba as a villain ally.
I got Jabba and Luke for this but to quote Monty Python, this is getting silly, it started out with reasonably major characters and now its got silly.... "BT-1 and 0-0-0 Villain Pack" with so called 'evil C3PO and R2D2 counterparts from the recent Darth Vader comic ! (of course like a sucker I'll probably still get them all).
And Boba Fett wasn't in Twin Shadows. Welcome to IA.
Partly because it wouldn't make sense in light of the story in the campaign, partly because you will likely get him in your deployment groups for free, when it does (make sense for you to be fighting him).
Minor Spoilers for the campaign- Seriously, scroll if you don't want to know...

Okay- Jabba can't be earned because the heroes will work with Jabba for at least roughly half of the campaign, if not longer. Don't worry, you'll get to use him at least once as the Empire.
Dat rancor tho...
