It's not very clear as it misses explicit steps. It should include why "tan" was selected instead of "sin" or "cos" ...... Let me try to clarify. He uses "tan" (Opposite/ Adjacent ) - we chose this as opposed to sin or cos, because we need to select what we're trying to solve for and select from information we have i.e. we need to find the height (Opposite side) and we are given the distance (10) from the rocket (Adjacent side), therefore we select "tan" as that's the only one with opp and adj. So, lets call the height 'H' (Opposite) - so it become "tan35 = H / 10" , next to simplify and have "H" on one side, we multiply both sides by 10, so we get "10 x tan35 = "H" and if we plug that into our calculater we get 7, so our answer is 7 = "H". Hope its clearer for others.
