- Chloe Bailey, one half of the R&B pop duo Chloe x Halle, has launched a solo career. The Grammy-nominated songstress released her debut single, “Have Mercy,” which has already garnered 23 million views, and it has the Beyoncé comparisons buzzing. She joins the “Tamron Hall” show for the first time ever to talk about going solo, creating her own lane, and being signed to Beyonce’s record label.

For sure. I did not want this interview to end. I was getting all of the answers that I wanted in this one sitting and Chloe was just as intelligent with such truth and confidence. Loved it.
That's why I'm so glad she didn't take that offer from that talk show that tried to put her in the back and her spot to that other women and their ratings went down. She said yeah they offered me a lot more money but money isn't everything and quit. Now look at her!!!

I thought so too. Even when she was asking about sex appeal she asked her a real question. Not just fishing for a headline for her video.
Chloe has such a presence about her. So much humility, graciousness and quiet strength. Her vulnerability is endearing, and her talent is unmatched. I truly root for her in every way possible, and can’t wait to hear and see more from her.

Respectfully, I think it’s because the sound and style is very similar to Beyoncé, which is understandable since Beyoncé mentored her and her sister for so many years. Chloe is Chloe, yes, but there are definitely similarities that are there; at the end of the day if Chloe sees it as compliment and is not offended by the comparison, no one else should be either. In time Chloe will show the world who SHE is.

I actually disliked this beautiful young lady, I disliked her because I felt she was trying to hard and she was trying to be Beyonce but after seeing this interview I realised that Chloe is just this very talented gifted young lady that's highly intelligent and is STILL in the process of completely finding herself and her own identity and I see her striving to get there and I can respect her for that. My perception of her is very different now after seeing this.

That was such a great interview. Chloe is one of the only artist right now that is 💯 % honest about her flaws and all and the fact people still choose to hate on her is beyond me. Self esteem is esteem of self. So it’s relative to the individual. Something that makes one person feel confident may not be the driving or motivating force for another. Everyone has confidence in different areas of their life. There’s no one in the world who can tell another person how to measure there own measure of self worth or their self esteem.

I’m 23 going on 24 and I don’t feel like these ages are by any means the age of a Grown Woman lol I feel like women in this age bracket tell ourselves this to kind of support and or justify the notion that we want to be more sexually liberated and open which if you wanna be that way , just be that way bc at the end of the day you ARE of age. The 20s though are an age of discovery and when I think grown woman I think Beyoncé and a woman in their mid to late 30s and on so I wish we’d stop acting like early to mid 20s and grown woman status.
Love Chloe, her talent and kind essence. The VMA performance I didn’t rlly love due to the confusing Halloween-like theme , kind of sloppy choreo and the hypersexualization of it all before we really got to see a debut that’s less distracting and more focused on vocals. I feel like Blk young women particularly in the industry aren’t allowed to have an Olivia Rodrigo type persona and that we’re so hyper sexualized even when it comes to the subliminal sexual messaging in the lyrics which reminds me of Normani and Motivation. Sex sells it seems. But Chloe is unmistakably one of the few strong vocalists that we have in the younger generation of music and love the power and fearlessness she portrays in her performances
