    Lustig you have saved my whole family destined for metabolic screw job. I'm am eternal grateful. "sugar the bitter truth" sparked my journey to correction. LCFH OMAD no processed food way of life forever. I have lost 50 pound, BP down 25 points, feel great. size 40 mens to size 32 in 5 months. Love it. Beef and butter are my staples for satiation and stomach feeling great. I enjoy a few beverages later in the day and they cause no weight gain. My kids are feeling way better and have great mental capacity, i load them up with home made bread and butter. Or meat and cheese plates. Or any other fatty foods they desire. high fat low sugar yogurt. Meatballs and homemade pizza. it is easy to see if you know the details. then eatting something that is processed doesn't sit ok in you. It says this is bad.
    You have saved millions. I bet that easily. Lots have changed things, Lots of carnivore, paleo, vegan, veg. It now makes sense to take the processed out. I love me butter and my blood work says so. My eyes says so. It is way easier to say no to dessert when your not addicted to sugar. Love you
    KISSES from a grown ass man. I'm about tearing up here.

    Wow, thanks a lot, but I still have a question! This demonstration of the link between metabolic dysfunction and chronic deseases and also the cause-effect error between obesity and those conditions is the best I've ever seen, so logic, so clear. The difference between the effect of glucose and fructose has also been clearly observed and demonstrated in the study with the kids. However there is one point that did not convinced me.
    Is it really the fructose that inhibits those different enzymes important in our different pathways, while glucose does not? I mean fructose exist naturally in fruit and honey, foods that are very healthy and that human being has been eating for centuries. Why suddenly, in the seventies, would it become harmful while in pure (not contaminated by pesticide) honey and fruits, is it still very healthy? Isn't because most fructose used in the industry come from corn (mainly GMO) fumigated with the bactericide found in a very known herbicide. When we know that gut bacterias DNAs are responsible of coding most of the enzymes that our metabolism needs, it seems to me obvious that this toxic chemical that contaminate the corn fructose is lot more likely to be the cause of these very problematic inhibitions. On top of it, let's remember that this chemical has been introduced in our food in the seventies; and the graph of medical cost shown in the video can been easily correlated to the quantity of this herbicide spread on the fields along the same years.

    • @flycorvus
      @flycorvus Рік тому

      Don't forget that nature has a specific rhythm. When can you get fruits in the nature? At the end of summer. Harvest time. ONLY.
      So called "paleo" diet has fruits in it, every day. But that is a BS. Authentic paleo diet doesn't have fruits (or honey), except summer months.
      What is more, there's a good reason making liver fat from fructose. That process has significant benefits in evolutionary terms. Fructose? End of summer, winter is coming, you need fat to survive.

    • @StanChantant
      @StanChantant Рік тому +1

      @@flycorvus Indeed we need fat, but excess of fat in the liver and around the waist are mainly caused by dysfunction of the PECK enzyme inhibited by glyphosate. This enzyme help burn the fat, transform it in energy. That's why so many people have a tire of fat around their waist.

    If we do not consume any dietary sugar (zero carb, zero sugar), do we still need fiber to protect the gut lining?
    I used to get stomach cramps, gas and loose stool when I ate veggies, fruit (and who knows what else). I also went potty several times per day (and not a pleasant experience!).
    The day after starting a carnivore diet, everything resolved. No gut issues at all but I only eat fatty meat, eggs, fish, pork, sardines, cheddar cheese, a bit of plain sugar free yogurt, sea salt and bottled water. (This weekend I went away with "the boys", ate crap (bread, French fries (seed oil, veggie), mayo, oates, waffles, chicken fingers, almonds) for the first time in 7 months and today (2 days later) all the symptoms are back. Fiber does not protect the gut lining, the gut is supposed to have a mucus membrane for protection, the gas and bloating is most likely caused by undigested material fermenting in the stomach. Im not an expert but if you repair your lining then you stomach PH should lower and be able to digest almost anything, too alkaline ph will cause digestive issues as well from what I'm reading these things alone or in combination rebuild the lining:
      1. Raw eggs mixed with raw milk and a tiny amount of honey or raw eggs with a little honey added or raw eggs by themselves. (honey has certain beneficial enzymes for the raw eggs)

      If you want to be zero carb then leave out the honey but if not half a teaspoon or a full teaspoon depending on how many eggs is fine. I started off with one egg every couple hours and now i can down 5 and my digestion is perfect, if you arent zero carb then things like berries and other fruits have fiber. Just focus on the gut lining, without it your digestion will always be off.

    Every lecture Dr. Lustig has done over the last several years has been somewhat the same. However, each audience is a customized presentation. Despite the similarities, he has consistently brought in new observations and analogies to the dangers of sugar. His book Metabolical will be the cornerstone of a new curriculum for nursing and medical schools. These lectures will live on for decades. Public health has been a collective disaster, and more disturbing is the deliberate poisoning of the food supply.

    Eating healthily is certainly the best way to improve all illness because all sorts of food are composed of chemical elements, including toxic ones. But, the amount of toxicity of all natural food are below the harmful limit. Knowing the chemical elements of different kinds of food can help you understand how much of each kind of food you should eat, and since chemical elements of different kinds of food can cause chemical reactions in your digestive system, if you know the kinds of food when eaten together can create harmful chemical compounds in your digestive system, you can avoid eating them at the same time, and what type of food contain natural chemicals good for reproducing cells of different parts of your physical structure, you can improve your health by just eating more such kinds of food.

    It is just crazy that Doctors do not get nutrition training in Medical schools.
    Every doctor visit should include some nutrition discussion. The majority of the population is over weight or obese leading to high blood pressure, heart disease and cancer. Schools and hospital cafeterias should be leading the way to good health by setting the example of what is a healthy meal and teaching people what to eat and why.. Every person in the hospital for heart disease should have a nutrition class before being checked out from the hospital with follow up education and training in nutrition. Medicare and Medicaid should require patient nutrition education as part of their standard of care. Nutrition information should be run on the hospital TV channel.

As long as you keep the overall carbohydrate intake below 100 or 150 grams per day and make sure that only a part of these carbs comes from sugars in fruits and vegetables and a part comprise more slowly digested carbohydrates (say from nuts), you do the safest thing you can do for your body.

By the time your glucose indicates a problem , you could have been pre-diabetic for a long time .Also , the fibre in fruit mitigates the effect of the fructose (to a certain extent), but food/sweets without that fibre do much more damage .

    Health care costs are out of control. Going WFPB vegan can save money, pain and suffering from disease.
    Lower your chance of high blood pressure, heart disease and cancer by going vegan. Hospitals, doctors offices and schools should be places where good nutrition is taught and provided not places that contribute to disease and obesity. It is crazy the hospitals are feeding people the very food that caused the heart disease, high blood pressure or cancer that they are treating. Every person in the hospital should receive some nutrition education before being released. Every doctor visit should be an opportunity to educate patients about how food choices impacts their health outcomes. The fact that doctors do not get nutrition training as part of their training makes no sense. Medicare and Medicaid should require nutrition education as part of patient care.
