Hey Frothy, long time viewer. Do what you gotta do man, ya got my +1.
You should take a look at Varsity Gaming from the R6 community. He is not a high diamond/champion or super crazy player, and he has a very calm personality (mainly taking a look at his copper to diamond series, where he plays solo), and yet, he is very successful. I think you're overestimating what a UA-cam audience finds entertaining. Most of your fans enjoy your personality just as it is and would like to see more of it. Anyways I will continue to support the channel with whatever content you decide to make. Keep it up!
@Khaffit I wouldn't say Varsity hates his job. Although he would sound depressed during the Copper to Diamond series. But when he does content with friends, it usually seems like he is having a blast
@Khaffit he’s not trash boi and he doesn’t hate the game 🤦♂️
I love varsity chase he doesn't edit his videos
I hope i didn't prompt this yesterday with my comment. I just enjoy your non-formal videos a lot more then the scripted content you've been producing.
Lots of people have been saying it, and I've been wanting to talk about it. No harm no foul, I'm happy to have had an excuse to do something different for a change 😇
I'd be down to watch literally any content you output, my guy.
Yeah same here!
As a casual player, I find your patch reviews to be the most useful videos. I don't know what the meta is, or how a patch will impact it, so I use your videos to get a general sense of what is going on. Especially for big changes like the last lifeline update, or when a new legend is added to the game.
Something I've found to help with separating your home gym from your home to keep yourself focused is simply going for a walk, because the act of leaving and entering the place for it's purpose does something in your brain to get you into that mindset. Either way, this was all good to listen to, take care of yourself dude
I wouldn't mind if you decided to make more warframe content if your still enjoying the game
yo, warframe, apex, whatever man, just keep bringing me good shit.
been watching you for a while man hope your doing alright :)
I am!
Hey Frothy thanks for the really thoughtful and detailed reply! I've been following gaming youtube since COD4/MW2 and I remember the deluge of tutorial/tips youtubers, and following a few who fell into the same pitfalls you have with Apex? I remember watching a video from a really young MW2 youtuber who was like, literally really upset because he wanted to make videos and wanted to keep putting out content but just, didn't know what was even POSSIBLY left to explain to people about clicking on heads. I also remember a lot of people pivoting their COD channels into basically Slice of Life vlogs or journal channels where they just started talking about their day over gameplay haha, and a lot of people wound up pivoting into other genres, like variety streaming or political channels.
There's a lot of possibilities out there for what to do, and I think at the end of the day a lot of people do show up for the person and not for the actual subject. So feel free to keep trying new things and you certainly have a fanbase who will support you in your endeavours.
I'm not done the video, and I rarely play CoD anymore, but I'm always tuned in for Drift0r's ideological videos. I'm always super down to hear a well informed, researched, semi-unbiased opinion on philosphy, current events, or anything of the like. Especially with a backdrop of someone holding w in Apex.
I understand the want to not argue with people, but if it's a direction you're interested in for your channel, I'm sure that there's other viewers like me out there that would enjoy it immensely.
It’s all good if it doesn’t come back..... but titanfall Tuesday’s were a highlight for me after work! Thanks for all those videos that helped make the day not suck man! Do what you wanna do!
15:11 you better not be that guy who places a jump pad or gravity lift underneath your teammates when there is a care pack

@@FrothyOmen don't take my kraber from me :(
Upload whatever you love doing man 💪also from someone who used a controller for years I totally agree with you about AA. You literally have to take fights differently against controller homies 😅
Do your thing Frothy, find what works for you! Like you shared in the video regarding other UA-camrs, I watch your content for your opinions on current Apex content. I would hope to hear your commentary in the sponsored videos, as that's what I can't get from reading patch notes. I do understand that you've plateaued with the educational content possible with the current state of the game and your years covering TF/AL. I can live without you making in-depth guides, good things come to an end. Stay warm.
Ultimately you've outgrown your content. I respect that. I like you for the same reason why I like Stu from Ahoy (back in the day we called him XBOX-Ahoy), unnamed smash players now (unfortunately), and other people who made guides for games I do care about stats on. I am the kind of player who is challenged by inputs and skill checks, so hearing all the info and playing the game on a meta level is my MO. I was dogass back in the day at CoD until I learned the proper weapons, stats, and effects that attachments had and spent hours honing my craft so I could intellectually challenge players where they challenged me "physically." I don't really do streams unfortunately so anything that you mentioned about those I haven't seen unless it was a highlight I got on here. And I reduced my watching because Apex doesn't really do it for me. But I did catch some of your videos on general stuff and Quake despite never playing that game because I like that stuff. If mentioning TF is a sore subject then I can leave it be, but I think you might just be getting inundated by people who just fell in love with TF2 and after seeing your genuinely informative and well-made content they just want more without realizing your entire catalog lol. Anyways you do you bro. I'll keep tuning in because you're humor and personality does it for me and honestly I like how straight you are with how you feel and what you want.
Edit: the new TF2 players in my example are meant to be kids or teens. I think people really underestimate at times how young their audiences truly are sometimes and that the annoying people are usually children who just got it or are teens-young adults that got really passionate after finding a shooter that just hit the spot for them. Speaking from being a mouth breather I totally get those feelings and the feeling of being exhausted from interacting with them for a long time, but that's conjecture at this point.
This is a very good comment and I enjoyed reading it, thank you.
Really enjoyed this video, clear answers and funny to take a look inside your head.
I've been watching you since titanfall, you do you man. You always got a fan here!
Why is there a dislike lmao
the Radical Heights loyalist and the Lawbreakers loyalist have teamed up
Awesome video Frothy! First and foremost, put what you want to go first, and I’ll watch it no matter what. I first got into your content with TF2 videos, but l like anything that you make, whether it’s guides and education or stream highlights. Thanks for your great videos, and maybe I’ll join you on stream soon.
The only reason I care to look into Warframe, Hyperscape and some others is because YOU speak about it. O think we’re here because of you, not because of the game you’re playing broski
Definitely understand why you're burnt out on guide videos. Would totally be down to just see vids of you and the squad mobbing pubs having fun. Honestly that hypes me up to play more these days. It does get repetitive after a point. Hope you're doing well man!
hey frothy, idk if you remember me but i’ve been around since the early early titanfall 1 days. i know most of your community watches your content to watch you, rather than the games. do what you have fun with and your base will love it. one of my favorite things to do when i’m bored is go back all the way to your titanfall 1 vids and wallow in the overwhelming nostalgia. you were a big part of my childhood.
Agreed with soo many below, whatever you produce, I watch. Even if I don't play the game, sometimes with games like Titanfall, only played a ton thanks to your videos, keep it up!
Make the content you are passionate about. We subscribed to your channel for a reason, we’re here for you. Also check out Core A Gaming’s channel. I think they have a unique take on educational content that avoids the “encyclopedia of damage values” problem.
I will say that no matter what direction you go, your gaming intelligently series really helped me better my life when I was in a very bad place and using gaming as a mental health crutch. So I appreciate that no matter what and always will
I love your contents, your TF2 videos help me to be a great pilot, specially a Titan player. Has soon my Titan fall I was a beast. I start to play Apex in season 6 and your old video help me a lot.
Now I just continue to see what you put. If I like it I see it. If is something I don’t care, I don’t see it easy.
One of the best thing you have is a lot of knowledge and passion to teach. But like you say, you can’t keep teaching the same. People just have to go to the old videos.
About Apex. Just play for fun and if you have a great game using a legend and you understand you use the legend abilities in a unique professional game. That can be a good upload for teaching, you know profesional tips. But we don’t need basic information anymore 🤣.
Just be happy, we care about you anyway
ive been watching since titanfall and i check out all of your videos. and i miss lawbreakers
I've been watching you since the beginning of your Titanfall 1 videos and I think at this point you should make whatever damn content that makes you happy. I personally don't like Apex because it's a BR (which I loathe) but I still watch your stuff because I think you're a good commentator on playing video games in general.
Thank you!
bro i watch you because you kick ass at fps games, keep doing you
I must say I did enjoy the forky steak man fuzzy broman stream experience, very cool
Ps love your content, kinda don’t want to sound like that guy so sorry if I sound like I’m making a satire point, but anyway as a suggestion have you ever considered doing something like a throwback stream/video and playing Titanfall 1
Did he just say long distance relationship? I have a bad feeling about this
The better the k.d the less aim assist there should be
If you’re looking for different games to play do you prefer PvP or PvE? If you want to do a PvE game, Remnant: From The Ashes is an excellent choice. It came out last year and I’ve got about 130 hours into it and it’s soooo much fun
I agree with you on that on that aim assist topic especially on the blaming part, its horrible nowadays, people really shit on each other on everything PCvsConsole, XboxvsPS tired of that shit. I play on console and its the same for the other side some people freak out when they play against m&k. Also i dont mind sponsored content everyone does that now because of youtube so why you shouldnt.
I'd recommend playing deep rock galactic. I'd think you'd enjoy it.
I asked him about it in stream and he said he had no friends to play with :(
@@tybrennan9891 well it's still plenty fun solo and the community is great so I doubt it take him that long to find a squad
@@striker99974 Tell him that not me
I feel bad. Half the audience is like (Play this game) and the other half is thinking the opposite. And saying "just play what you want" doesn't seem too plausible when you'll only have 1/3 of your audience watching. Keep up the content, I'll watch it regardless.
If 1/3 of my audience watched my videos I would be so happy
Man that's so demoralizing. Good luck with content creation my man👍
I want more Pokémon again lol
me too tbh
It's one thing if it's sponsored content that's shit, but your uploads are always quality > quantity which is what earned my subscription in the first place.
Also on the subject of ranked gameplay, I think it's a double edged sword. The grind to maintain diamond+ is already a huge time commitment for a content creator so it's understandable that most don't show ranked gameplay, but I also discredit people more for being like "hey look I got another 20 bomb" when it's just a lucky pub match
Theres gotta be new big things for new guides, I've always been a fan of the movement guides but I really on need one or two different videos to get a feel of what to do. I recently found your channel because I am new to tf2, I found it through apex. It's insane to see the tf2 community still making content for a game that hasn't been touched for so long, I cant think of another example anywhere. That says a lot about both the game and the community. Your intro makes it pretty clear that you are pretty dang busy nowadays, and have an actual life to live. to me it's not a problem to only post when you get time, and I don't really care what its about. On another note, I've gone back and watch older videos on your channel, as well as other big TF2 content creators, and now that it's already over 4 yrs later it sucks that I missed out on the glory days of what is my favorite game.

Even when I have moments where I fall out of games like Titanfall or Apex, I always end up coming back to your videos. People will always have their own opinions but my opinion is that I come for you specific video niche. I’ve watched your videos for awhile and have always enjoyed them. If you’ve become burnt out playing a game, then you shouldn’t feel pressured to play it. UA-cam as an experience shouldn’t have to be appeasing the masses, it should be about making content that you are proud of and that you enjoy for yourself.
Have you ever thought on making educational content on among us?
I have not, I only play that game once in a while
I find your personality refreshingly relatable so I think I'd enjoy watching you just play for funand joke around with friends. I'd also love to see you get creative with Apex and come up with team strategies utilizing unique combinations of legend abilities/passives in ways most people wouldn't think of, just an idea. I think as long you make content you enjoy making we'll enjoy watching it😁👍
I Iove all of your videos mAn. I don't want to say that I'm "good" but I've definitely gotten beyond what I could've dreamed of in terms of skill because of you and your guides/videos/streams/thoughts (I'm on console PS4 & Xbox - PC soon - I avoid aim assist as much as I possibly can, and die a lot for it - but I think its worth it). You probably remember me saying this but it couldn't hurt to mix it up. Try a highly calculated, sarcastic, insultingly senseless video that has no point or clear goal. Just a completely nonsensical joke type thing, but a very convincing one the you portray very seriously. I don't like aim assist, I don't like the fact that certain games hold your hand and help you get kills. I teeter totter between scrub and not - but as long as I'm having fun it doesn't really matter. I think you're too well informed on game mechanics and the explanation of them and how they work that you've become hard to please and just bored with it, but I could be wrong I guess. You have played Titanfall | from the beginning, you are the Apex Predator, don't question it.
I can't exactly speak for a larger group of your subscribers, but I would love a Legend Showcase series for the current legends. I'm thinking short gameplay montages of a single legend with some related music overlayed. I'm thinking "Legend Showcase: Octane" with Van Halen's Jump playing in the background. This could be fun and short.
Another thing that you could do with this is give players updated tips on best using the legend. Similar to your legend reviews when the characters come out, but with more experience backing your thoughts.
38.29 THIS! Every time you drop a video on Apex or Titanfall I watch it because I'm curious about your opinion on what they've done seeing as you've had a long experience with Respawn and their game development.
I would actually like content about things like aim assist.
As a console gamer, I also feel it’s too strong for many reasons. It tends to screw me over in many cases too.
But I can understand why it could blow up.
Since nobody is asking, are you doing okay?
You shouldn’t do anything you don’t want to, I can’t handle another Iceycat25 happening.
If you're looking for a type of content that would suit your taste for in-depth videos, you should do like broader game design things.
Like speak about fast FPS evolution, look how bunny hop is different from game to game, or how you would personally make a fast FPS both competitive while still appeal to a broader audience, or your dream version of Titanfall 3...
Whatever in that vein, so you can talk about things that interest you without just analysing a damage spread sheet on a specific game.
There's a developmental stage for babies when they learn about opinions. Let's say they're eating a cracker, and they share one with you. If you grimace, spit it out and exclaim disgust, they will continue to proffer crackers. It's inconceivable that someone dislikes what they like.
People & their suggestions on the internet are like this. See comments on your most recent Apex videos & streams. No doubt you hear it for other topics as well, like to bring back Titanfall, or people telling you to git gud at Valorant. You can't satisfy these babies when your own interests and passions don't line up & you've moved on.
Even if you try to, it bleeds into the production when a creator is forcing content, as you mentioned happening with Titanfall. It's not good for anyone. Sadly I feel a lot of creators fall into this trap and it eventually drives them to produce less and less. Keep the passion & the heart in your content, and if that means a new channel direction, or videos of a certain kind won't be produced anymore - that's alright. I'll support you the entire way.
You've ever thought to make another channel about other stuff like frothy talks about gaming news or things you generally enjoy. Because I'm subscribed for you, and not entirely apex content? I enjoy your tame and methodical personality. Better then many of these other youtube/streamers that give options or are opinions without actual evidence.
Tbh I never really see controller players and mouse players being a good mix, I get aim assist is annoying, but the difference in warzone for example is night and day, on controller it’s impossible to control recoil whereas when I tried mouse it’s super easy , I’ve been playing console titanfall 2 for 4 years now, but I was pretty amazed by the techniques that can be pulled off with the naturally higher sensitivity
I appreciate ur videos and all your work so much, I enjoy whatever you produce because you care about your content, and even when you don't try to be educational or instructive your fundamental knowledge of the game and your great personality make everything interesting and enjoyable. I have and will continue to support whatever you really want to produce and learn in the process, you are doing such good work and I appreciate whatever you give to this hobby, which it truly is alongside the impressive life you live. much love
Good video man, we just like your content and your Apex stuff is just top notch
Oh also, i know i already made a comment but i just had to say, one of my favorite games besides apex is called For Honor, its not a fast paced shooter but i would still love for you to give it a try! Its such a unique and different game, i think you would like it.
Sounds like you should do some yoga, drink some tea, disconnect and reflect. We’ll be here when you figure it out and come back. Hit the nail on the head though, video games should be fun!
Do what you got to do. As long as you have fun we have fun (I actually enjoyed Titanfall Tuesdays but seriously don't force yourself to do it if you don't wanna!)But do what you find fun!
Speaking of past games, you might enjoy Mirror's Edge, parkour and movement based, very fun
If he's bored of the video game, then let him be bored of the video game. No amount of pestering is gonna make him enjoy Titanfall again.
Nice chat man. To this very day i still go through your TF2 videos and enjoy them a lot. But i like your content in general, so thanks for the quality.
I like your content. I have liked your content for a long time. Thanks for making these things man.

Your videos are still very epic and I still support what ya do
1 quick question. Do you feel like when you get older you can't catch the pace? like I'm 31 years old, I just got beat in Titanfall2, because really I can't catch the pace my reaction is getting slow...
I definitely feel like getting older is inhibiting my play a bit, but I also wonder if it's just that I'm becoming more perceptive with my age and realizing I was never that great to begin with lol
I see a band shirt. 👀
Do things at your own pace.
Hey frothy, if you look up Gregor’s operator how to’s (he does r6 content), maybe you can do something like that for games like apex!
thanks for the tip
you should play split gate arena i think you would like it ;)
I still want my Titanfall 3 guides though
My honest opinion is that it's the same on controller (I play on controller) you do have to do the same when fighting a pc play cuz the movement potential is so much higher then a controller
This is in reference to how he fights a controller player is different to a pc player
This is probably extremely random, but do you like Trivium? And as for what content you put out? I'll watch it even if I don't play the game because I just love how you make videos and the quality. And what you said about the aim assist? As a controller player, I can confirm.
I haven't listened to a lot of trivium but I probably should
@@FrothyOmen Oh yeah Silence in the Snow doesn't have any harsh vocals if your not into that type of thing but the rest of their albums are pretty harsh especially the older ones
Apex Legends is, in many aspects, a massive improvement compared to Titanfall 2. And I'm not talking about gameplay specifically, but all other aspects.
UI design, content release schedules, support for the competitive scene, social features, balance, cosmetics, etc. In many of these aspects, TF2 felt mediocre or lazy. I'm glad to see Respawn learn from their mistakes. I'm confident that Titanfall 3 or any similar projects will be miles above what TF1 and TF2 offered.
Yeah. Although some of the gameplay mechanics suck. This all is from the ttk and matchmaking.
You can be determined to lose in the game from matchmaking. Apex matchmaking purposely forces you to lose sometimes, Respawn said it themselves.
What also sucks about that is that the ttk in this game is so long. Usually a great system, but the problem is that if your teammates are dead, a 1v3 is physically impossible. Your ttk has mathematically 9 TIMES the time to kill as they can kill you, and then factor reloads, they have like 15 times, and this is if you have as good loot, and hit EVERY single shot without delaying between targets. Your opponents can just spray at your flesh. Even if you’re god’s dad, there is no possible way you can win a fight using the legitimate controls of the game without hacking or some network error on your opponents’ end. Exception is if you’re fighting in buildings, but an indoors/high ground 1v3 you still have to be somewhat good. You can run and hide, which is easier but you’ll only get to second place.
The 1v3 frustration is the reason my clan quit. Sorry for the off topic rant, but otherwise I agree with you. Also Apex is less repetitive and more addicting... well addicting in a different way which I prefer more.
@@dylank.8857 I specifically meant features *other* than gameplay.
