  • After a morning Lower Big Sandy lap, my group divided up and went to go run the Upper Yough at 3 feet. Not feeling quite up to that yet, me and Aaron decided to make the drive to Ohiopyle and check out the Lower Yough at just under the 8 foot mark. Was my first time down it over 5.5 feet, so this was quite a surprise to see how gnarly it was 2 feet higher! Can't wait to do it again at this level or higher, and hopefully do the whole thing next time. Can't imagine it would take much longer than 2 hours over the 7 foot mark!

Really dynamic at that level! Good job reading the changes.

Appreciate the compliment! Would love to run it again at that level less nervous, and with a better idea of the lines. Left side of Entrance Rapid looks wild at high water!

That entrance hole is wild, I went center my first high water time and got very lucky to get through.
