      Yes, everything I’ve seen and heard about him he was manipulated and being that he was on the spectrum making him a highly suggestible person. it’s not surprising he wanted to be the knight in shining armor and truly believed it was the only way to save her. Black and white thinking is common with autism. The whole thing reminds me of the story of Rapunzel. I mean do we hate the guy who saves her from the tower and evil witch? You don’t think they thought to run away? Gypsy knew her mother had falsified her age she knew they would almost certainly be caught and she’d be handed back over to dee dee. She knew dee dee was convincing and manipulative. You think they’d have believed her over dee dee? Dee Dee had records ect to back up her claim that gypsy was mentally challenged. They have punished nick either way I f they were caught running away because of her faked age and mental status. She’d be back in an even worse situation she would have at that point be a threat to dee dees control. A dead daughter brings more sympathy than being exposed. It would have ended in either the gypsy untimely death or murder suicide. Dee dee was clearly an unhinged narcissist with psychopathic tendencies and it manifested as Munchausen syndrome by proxy. The way I see it is more than likely killing dee dee or her own death was the ONLY way out for gypsy, weather she killed her herself or found someone who would.

    She had access to the internet when her mother was asleep. She could have asked law enforcement to come get her, she was over 18, DeeDee would have had to explain why Gypsy could walk.
    Instead, she manipulated a mentally challenged man to kill for her,

      @@pritymanntri9320 he wasn’t manipulated. That would imply that Gypsy was lying about the abuse so he’d want to protect her by killing her mother. She didn’t lie. She was being abused. That being said, given Nick’s mental health issues, autism, etc I don’t think he should have been given life. He needs intensive therapy and medication. Without it he’s likely still a danger to society. But it’s possible that he can be reformed if given the proper treatment, and I truly believe that if people can be reformed they shouldn’t be forced to rot in prison for the rest of their lives… especially if they’re diagnosed with a mental health condition.

She stole from Walmart Mom wasn't there then. She got up and walked around the house while Mom was asleep. She knew she could walk and eat without the tube at age 9 her words. She wasn't afraid when she stole 1000 to send to Nick. Mom wasn't around then She wasn't afraid when she left to go to the hospital to check on some one she wanted to be her boyfriend. All the Dr's. she saw and no one noticed any abuse. 30 unnecessary surgery. But yet no long term affects of that. Forced to take medication. But yet 2 days after the murder no medication in her system. Her mother was asleep when she let him in. They could of left. She thought she would play on her abuse. And not have to do any jail time. To all the naysayers, consider this- if Gypsy had been held captive by literally anyone except her biological mom- for example if she’d been held hostage since infancy by some 40 something year old dude who wasn’t related to her by blood- the conditions could have been identical in literally every single other way and she would never have gone to prison, because murdering her captor to escape would have been correctly perceived as the desperate last ditch act of self preservation that it was. What her mother did to her was beyond wrong, and the only reason she’s being so harshly punished for justifiably resorting to extreme measures to escape her lifelong abuser is because the abuser in question was her mother. I can guarantee you that even if the abuser had been Gypsy’s bio dad instead of her mom, she would have been treated more fairly for the “murder,” and if her captor had been some unrelated man instead of her bio mom she likely wouldn’t have even gone to prison period and it would have been flat out ruled as the act of desperate self defense that it obviously was.
    The only time I’ve ever seriously broken a bone was because my own biological mother violently dragged me across a parking lot when I was 3 years old, all because I cried in a Mexican restaurant and she got mad at me for “throwing a tantrum and embarrassing her.” I was 3 years old. To this day I Can’t even remember why I was crying. The only clear memory I have is of the feeling of overwhelming, visceral terror I felt when my massive 5’11”, 230 pound mom literally yanked my entire body off of the asphalt by my little wrist because I dared to do a completely normal toddler thing and cried in a public place. In retaliation, she swung me around like a rag doll, shattered my little wrist in the process, and then proceeded to lie to everyone, including the ER DOCTORS, and twisted the story to make it sound like it was somehow 100% my fault. according to her, 3 year old me “broke my own wrist doing a tantrum drop while she was holding my hand,” you see. Even tho I clearly remember her hurling me around like a doll in a rage.
    Mothers can be absolutely evil, soulless monsters, too, just as much as some creepy Middle Aged single male pedo can be. It’s actually far easier for a woman, especially if she’s the bio mother of the victim, to get away with horrendous abuse because of sexist stereotypes. Take it from someone who suffered decades of incredible violence and emotional abuse from my own mother, who will never ever be held accountable for what she did. Gypsy was just doing what she had to do to escape a terrible situation.

    Both Gypsy and Nick don't deserve their sentences. Nick was trying to save her from a highly abusive and isolation situation. Our justice system gives slaps on the wrists to repeating criminals who constantly hurt people but he gets life and she gets 10? Her life was stolen from her.

    Honestly, I think she should've got off on grounds of self-defense. All she'd known her whole life up until the point of murder was abuse both physical and emotional. The murder, in her mind, was her only escape. Her mother was suffocating and was more than happy making her own daughter sick for attention and monetary gain. Had Gypsy kept languishing i have no doubt her mother would've eventually killed her, intentionally or unintentionally.

    • @jamesbernardino4264
      @jamesbernardino4264 10 місяців тому +1

      I think, legally, the self defense defense would only apply if you’re defending yourself from imminent threat that was happening presently at the time. Since the mother was asleep, Gypsy wasn’t experiencing actual threat and that the option of going to the authorities should have been the considerable option. So the months of planning would have ruled it as premeditated murder. The court systems only sometimes serves justice as what it serves, rather, is legalities.

      Exactly. She learnt that grown ups even professionals torture her and belive her fuxxx evil mother. Our system is a shit. Not mentionming her complex postraumstic syndrom. Its a disorder. Its normsl. And in her case it is so severe that i canr believe she was not held in a hospital with help and free when she feels able. I dont know... i would do the same in her shoes. Including the uncountable neglection during ALL HER DAMN LIFE!!.... HORRIBLE.....

      wow! I’m entitled to my opinion as you are entitled to yours to result to insults because I have a different opinion to yours does not mean I’m lacking in mental capacity far from it in fact! I’ve been a carer for many clients with varying disabilities and learning difficulties… HE had a learning disability and she manipulated him to kill her mum… At any time in hospitals when she was alone she could have told someone but I guess she’d miss out on the trips to Disney and maybe even lose her home 🫤. If you’ve seen the documentary on this case you’ll see that the mother was also a victim of MBP so it seems she was a victim too before her life was ended.
