I have actually stopped playing consistently myself because I just cannot care as much anymore because of the same reasons you just mentioned. I have time all day but I have two children so at this point it isnt worth taking the time from them because DML wants more money
I think it's important that if you're not having fun, don't force yourself to do it. If you have other important things to do, the game should not have to be stuck in the back of your mind thinking "oh gosh i need to log in 3 times within the next 2 hours, 40 minute intervals each time. When can I find the times to do it?". At least if there's a little more time then it won't be so stressful

And yes I have other things to do so I dont force myself to do it. I would if the events would allow for some more error because I do get busy and forget and once I forget I know I really cannot come back from that. And I would also love to have an event or something that I can just endlessly play like we had all hoped the dungeon remake would be.
I don't think "skipping events" should be what the players have to do to keep enjoying the game. Heck, so many people ignore the events just so they can get their DOTM breeding done... I don't know the fix but I don't feel it should be like that

Over the last six months I've found myself not wanting to even bother logging in to dml, I now sparsely go on one or two times a week, the only time I consistently logged on was during the recent divine event, and I had to give up sleep WHILE I WAS ON HOLIDAY WITH A FRIEND to complete it. So I've found that I rarely play it anymore, I just can't bring myself to delete it because I spent so many hours on it and gave up so much sleep for it. You're right when they say that they pretty much lock you in, because after playing for over a year and a half I feel compelled to keep going because of the hours I've put in, and it just feels more like a chore rather than anything else
welp, yes, we are feeling the same weight and burnout syndrome; the game is fun and engaging, so i keep trying to chill in it, but this wave of events and time limits are killing the fun. Maybe Gameloft needs the money or they will be force to close it? or even worse, in the attempt to save it, they will eventually kill it with the pay to win idea? In my case im starting to conect less and just for the events that i want to play (the dungeon is out for me) But even with this problems, is praiseworthy to this game to still be around after so long; lets hope things get better in the future; love your content girl, keep at it!
I am extremely grateful that they're putting so much effort into the game, especially compared to how "little" there was to do at launch. Rather than ignoring the game, you can see the effort they put in, however I feel that perhaps their efforts are focused on the wrong things or perhaps their expectations for what their events do are just too different to what the playerbase wants (generally speaking, of course)
Summer break from college, and I just cannot get myself to participate. I have all the time necessary for events but they're all so demanding for a generic epic or rare. Last DD I barely participated in, same for this current Solo. Even last divine event, I did the bare minimum for tickets so I wouldn't miss out on the divines. I don't want to be glued to my phone every 30 minutes, which is impossible without gemming. I'm not even a true veteran, been here almost one year, but the constant requirements for events and the lousy rewards just isn't interesting (especially at this frequency)
I was already skipping some events, like boss challenge that require too much connection, but these last months there have been too much events. So I stopped the game. I come back for the new dungeon, but before the end of the week I left the game. Because I was able to left so fast, I supposed it was my last one. It's sad, but I was playing 1-3 hours per day during the week, which is a lot. Somehow, I enjoy having time again. However, I'm still watching you for some news XD
For games I actively play I HATE having to not do events purely because the requirements are really long or tedious. DML I complete 95% of the events so suddenly when all these events are thrown out and there's things to do in life... it just becomes overwhelming and then you can't complete them which leaves you frustrated... Rinse and repeat over and over again. I don't want all of the events to be super easy, I want them to be doable without people having to change their sleep schedules and actually give players the chance to breed the chain breeding event dragons lol
Your points are the reason why Ive quit the game like one and a half year ago for 5 months or something... I really like the idea of dml with the elements and the breeding and so on but already the enchanting is grindy af and my best dragon has still 3 stars lmao. I can't really say that dml is fun, I started playimg a lot more other games and I can't really get my self to log into dml cuz the other games are way more fun and I already know what to do in dml because it's always the same s***. And when I do log into dml I stay for like 20 sec, do the stuff I got to do and then I leave again. I'd really like an event that is fun and easy to complete and where you don't have to spend 30€ to complete it... I don't have a problem with castle/solo/hero events but PLEASE not every 2 days. The buttomless dungeon is just a fucking mess to me cuz it is simply Impossible for me lmfao and as you said, the buttomless dungeon could have been the thing we've all been waiting for but ye ._. Dragons delight events are amazing! Not. Screw them I actually like the idea of them but they just end up being another annoying solo event... The leaderboard thing is OK I guess but give the first 20 a prize because the top 15 people "gemed" trough the event... Divine events are ok I guess, but it's impossible to get the main prize. Let's be honest, how many people completed a divine event without buying or cheating anything? The zodiac collection is pretty cool but it's impossible for every new player without buying a dragon they missed out on. I don't want to quit dml because I is still have hope in it but I'm slowly moving on to other games.... Hope you read it and answer :)
I know some people that got the main divine event dragons without paying anything, but they got extremely lucky and they are very few and far between. A majority of players dont spend money on the game and i fully understand that the company needs to make money and support them in doing so, however I just want one thing in the game that isnt timer based gameplay. Just 1 thing
I love this video. These are exactly my thoughts on this whole mess of events, it's just a bit ridiculous. I've seriously considered deleting it recently, but I feel I've invested so much time into DML and its community that I can't - but it really does feel like a chore rather than a game at this point :/
The main reason i play DML personally now is because of the community and i also feel like i would have wasted my time by leaving now. New events are fun for the first hour but after that they just feel sort of... bland. And thats happened for just about every event in DML I've ever played. The dragons are kewl and the game has gotten much more content over the years, thats undeniable but i feel theres a way to do something with the game that doesnt feel so... tedious all the time
I've been well burnt out since last year! It got to the point I was just skipping events so I could keep working on my own in game strategies like getting my teams fed and leveled up. You can't really do that when events want you to stick a certain farming principle for said event. My dragons kept suffering more and more trying to keep up with the events. Then you have others in the game that give you a hard time about "why aren't doing the events.. you're gonna miss out on all the dragons and cool things to get". I try and tell em I'm burnt out I just want to play my game the way I want not around non stop events. And they look at me like I'm the weird one for not wanting to do the events. I was going to do the divine event as much as I could do, but then life stepped in and a family issue happened and I had to step away completely from the game and take care of my mum. So that just sealed it what was more important than some game. I recently logged in a week or two ago for like 10 minutes and it was worse than before lol multi events going and new additions, it only made me laugh and log right back out. Maybe in time I might come back if I have more time in my life to play. But at this point.. I'm cool with a long extended break. I don't feel I'm losing out on anything.

The last chest is really not worth 2000 if the dragon isn't guaranteed until after 15 times,I actually just go through the other chests and leave the final one,I do not care about it at all,It is incredibly not worth it.
The last chest in particular is extortionately high... they did say that changes were due to be coming soon in a new update so I hope it's quite a lot of difference instead of 100 or 200 less
I get more tokens from the other chests than opening the last one using - 2000 stepping stones. DML is such a greedy game... Dragonvale was never like this. (but on the flipside DV, it's dead) LOL
I completely agree with what ur saying. It’s just so ridiculous tbh it’s so hard to keep up with everything n I have time, n yet still I’m not able to complete most of the stuff on time because of the insane wait time or requirements. It’s a lot harder for me because I’m still working on leveling up my dragons, but the amount of resources that they need is out of this world n since my dragons aren’t as strong yet, I can only do a certain amount of battles in the dungeon before all my dragons get taken out, then it’s back to the ridiculous wait time 😒🤦🏽♀️ I love this game I love the number of unique dragons that it has, but I find some things nearly impossible to do, especially if ur at a disadvantage. Unless u spend all the money in the world, there’s no way of going further

Mighty Action X I wish I could do what you are but I’m always tempted to get new dragons, although I already have it as a different dragon. Eg.( typhoon instead of clownfish, same elements and stats).
@@silver7405 These offered dragons will either return as a dragon of the week or a prize on an easier event. Don't put too much thought on the now since as long as you play you'll get them eventually.
I definetly agree.Before I used to play dml on my android tablet, and I played to a certan days and got the ragnarok dragon, I don't know how many days you need to get it, but every single day after that, every time I would claim my daily reward for logging in(not a calendar event) and after I press claim my tablet would shut down but not the kind that powers off. It would power off but instead of a black screen it would be a blue screen. It almost broke my tablet coz it would take me like an hour to power it back on. I had the autumn dragon and I was super happy, but then I had to delete the game. I downloaded dml on my brother's tablet and it did the exact same thing. I tried one more time and there was the calendar event with the garden dragon and when I claimed that day's reward it did the same,so I uninstalled the game but still continued to watch you and today I play it on my phone and it's not switching off(atleast) but I had to start all over again and I started a week ago so there's no chance for any zodiac dragons and I'm only lvl 23 so no clan events either. And i'm also trying to get the ice cream dragon from funny feathures but there's only 2 days left and im stuck on lvl 8 and there's still no guarantee that if I finish the event I'm actually going to breed him and the hornbill dragon takes 1 day to watch so I would only have a day to try to breed the ice cream dragon which I'm really disappointed about coz he's one of my favourite dragons in the game.I totally agree with your opinion. And I can also say bye to the endless dungeon coz my highest lvl dragons are smoke dragon,fire,tribal and they're all lvl 18 with one enchantment star.I wish they'd bring another calendar event coz once I went abroad for a week with no wifi and when I came back I still finished the calendar event. I expect more from dml though. And im not gonna login every 6hrs for a stupid reset or something. I login when I remember and honestly I don't even know why I'm even playing dml.sorry it's so long btw.
Its unfortunate some of the technical issues like this keep appearing. During one of the divine events my androie dml just would not work. For an entire 2 weeks of the divine event i couldnt even access the game. After that point, i really dont touch my android account very often. Even though it works now it just left a very... sour(?) taste in my mouth and i havent really felt motivated to play on it since. Even if it doesnt make complete sense at first, having these problems happen consistently truly destroys player morale for some people so i understand what you mean
I have been playing DML a little over 4 years, sometimes I go thru phases of playing a ton, but then I forget, and miss sooo many events and dragons and opportunities.. and I always hate because then I’ll see so many players with literately hundreds of dragons and I only have 100 something, it sucks cuz I know I would’ve done better if I didn’t skip out all the time. I’m also a free player so this makes it even harder, not to mention that since I’ve missed so much I have no clue how to use most of the relevant features. Long rant but any tips?:(
You are right quacks. It is really too much of everything. It consumes too much time and gems. But nobody is having too much time for the time limited events. So you are ultimately left with no choice rather than skipping the time with the help of gems. But if you are not having so much gems then you are left with no choice but to buy them. So ultimately this game is made for free and rich people. I used to complete limited time events so quickly before no matter whether they are divine evens, boss challenges, happy dragons, etc. But now I have reduced my time for playing this game because i have a lot of work to do in spite of just playing this game
I feel the same way. I've only been playing a year and I'm already burned out. I have a clan but I'm thinking about quiting the game. When I first started they had the hatching event where I was able to get the perfume dragon by buying fire dragons and hatching them to keep my level up. Now it's impossible to do that type of event. They just need to focus on making the game playable and fun. The game has so many bugs and glitches that they need to focus on fixing problems over adding new events and dragons.
Mary Sherrill same. I’ve got so much progress, and I’m also looking at dml going on it’s downward spiral. Idk... I just don’t feel respected as a player ever. Everything rng in this game feels like crap when nothing works out for you. It is very painful to see everything fail when you realise things be managed so much better.
You mentioned games that have events that are there for a month or so, and take only a couple days to complete. Does anyone have any recommendations for games like that? I love DML, but I realized it's taking a lot of my time and I'm not even going to complete the events...
Honestly? A grand majority of the most popular games on twitch that are online. LoL, Overwatch, Hearthstone, Paladins are the main examples I give because i played them a lot in the past and liked that their special events had small tasks to do but didnt take anywhere near as much time as dml to complete. Pokemon TCG, MTG, im naming a lot of card games but these are all games where if youre skilled, you can complete special weekly quests etc in a few hours. Some also have daily quests, but you can do these at ANY time of day. So instead of being forced on every 4 hours for 10 days, you log in at your free will to do it
This comes to a point where I want at least ONE divine dragon, but I can’t because the events require consistent log in and I have school, piano practice, tennis, I have to EAT, SLEEP, have a social life, do homework and LIVE. That’s not to hard to understand.
We got the Hypnos dragon and Erlang Shen divines from calendar events in the past and this was perfect for someone like you that likes the game but might not have a great deal of time to invest every day. I want these calendar events back or something similar because i completely understand that sometimes you want to be involved in a game but might not have a lot of time. You still deserve the chance to win something
Dml events sucks except for calendar events because it forces to be dumb and gullible for making you spend millions of dollars and what is the point of having no sleep just to get rare or epics I wish dml made events more inclusive to all players and made them 10% more easier.
I have always wanted the events to be a lot easier than they are already, if they were I wouldnt mind them throwing out so many at once. Many players feel like if they keep missing limited time dragons they'll be put very far behind because some of these limited time dragons are used in OTHER events and other parts of the game
I didn't even bother with Funny Feathers event. I got to stage 4 by just getting on every 6 hours. It gives a dragon i already own witch is slightly a waste to me. They could easily offer dragons that people don't have by using a code to make it a dragon someone doesn't have. So the dragon could be different for each player but instead they just want money. So i gave up on funny feathers since there just to many other events going on at once. I barely even done anything in emerald clan event because of this as well. Every free to play game i play goes from being fun for everyone to pay to win tactics because game devs always want more money. Then it just makes more people quit because they are to busy to try. Then when it comes to castle events i don't feel the need to level past 30 on my dragons because the breeding events are to much. So i been at level 30 for all my dragons for the past 2 years just so i can do solo events and stuff.
Seriously they could at least wait a week between castle events/solo events/dungeons. ~...~ its rough. 6h resets are fine, but when they make us login every 30 mins, its not nice. And events on events on events is just bad. Ah and the endless dungeons are so hard, because the dungeon aren't really scaled so good. Why not have an event where we have endless time. I literally tried to breed the dotm every day for 19 days before i got it. Luckily, i already got all the dotw so far, and it sux. I literally came back every time when breeding timers were done
Lol I just kind of forget about all of these events and just play the game like always. I play it early in the morning. Mess around and that’s about it. Progress is slow but I enjoy myself and my slow pace.
I just play for 15 to 20 mins I do botomless dungeon and then breed dragon collect money spend it on training and food then I play after 5 hrs for botomless dungeon and in night not play becoz I have to sleep too
agree with everything in this video. unless it's during a divine event I refuse to do any solo events any more. just to annoying and tedious. what makes all of this even worse though is that they seem to expect people to just pay money on gems and stuff for this game but yet they won't put the effort into making the game worth paying for. ignore for a moment how the events and stuff work I don't know what it's like on pc but on mobile this games crashing issues are horrendous and its not just my device because everyone I've talked to in game has the exact same issue. not only that but doing certain things always make the game lag. then take into account that sometimes you have stuff happen like what happened around two months ago I think where kindle and Samsung players couldn't log on for five days. it's just shameful gameloft. so the game is just bad mechanically speaking add on top of that the poor execution of events and it seems like they want you to stop playing. honestly only reason I still play and compete in events seriously is because I've made good friends on this game that I simply don't want to lose contact with. if it weren't for them I wouldn't be playing. thanks for the video quackalakes. :)
There are indeed many, many very game breaking issues that seem to occur too frequently in the game. Right now we have a severely game breaking set kf dungeon bugs... ones that make dragons invincible etc... bugs will almost always end up cropping up in every video game, no matter how good the QA testing is, but there are a LOT of issues that crop up for DML for every new event. There may be a way to reduce the amount of bugs that get through but i dont work for GL and i dont know what exactly that would need to change to fix these issues quickee
quackalakes yeah you make good points. all I'm sayin is if whoever's in charge of dml at gameloft really cared about their customers they'd work more on making sure the game works mechanically well. seriously I've been playing a whole year now (just got my one year anniversary badge a day or two ago) and THIS game is still ad bad about crashing as it was when I started playing. btw thanks for responding BEEN watching you a year mow and the videos are super helpful, :)
quackalakes also I wanted to ask what exactly are the bugs with the dungeon. I'm not entirely sure what they are. I've heard something about the purple chest being bugged some how but don't really know for sure what any of the bugs are.
I played dml for like year and a half for this account I now have 300 Dragon and I didn't spend any money not even a small amount of money but it's need efforts that the regular human can't do it I hope we have like week to try and breed the shop dragons because I didn't get them all until now
Yep, you can achieve almost everything in game without spending a penny! But a lot of the things that you achieve for free are so very difficult to keep doing week after week after week. The shop dragons took forever to breed originally, I can't even begin to imagine how much more complicated it is to breed them all now while trying to go for limited time dragons too lol

I really like dml and spend a lot of my time playing it but I'm really thinking to uninstall the game because I'm getting addict, sleeping the half that I have to and it's not worth at all, I'm not getting the feel of "mission complete" in the end of the day. The dml team are trying to maintain us the most time as they can in the game, but are not thinking in the health of players, unfortunately turning the game completely pay to win and not able to have real fun. That's a casual game and I'm getting burnout more than any competitive one.

I’m sorry, but I have like 40 friends in the game and at least 30 of them haven’t even logged in for over 45 days. And this funny feathers events is a literal copy paste of the berry buds. I see why people are leaving now just going off that
Many of the DML events are copy pastes of previous iterations of the same event type. This is never ideal becayse it gets bland, but i could understand it if the intent was to give old dragons to newer players, but thats not what the repeat events are. Theyre repeat events with brand new, cool dragons in them. Its also true that the player retention DML isnt high. It isnt for a grand majority of mobile games due to these tedious timer structures
quackalakes I know everything feels so sad and dead because I have no one to interact with, and I ask myself why the game devs are trying to screw their game because it feels like it. Same DD, solo events, boss challenges and clan events. I only tolerate castle events, because they have different and interesting layouts. Get meched was a disgusting excuse of a castle events.
I usually peak at 45 kills in the dungeon with the boosts, but all that effort goes down the drain for piss pool rewards. I swear, I open the purple chest, and see 375k food in it again, I will never do the dungeon again.

A majority of players dont spend money on the game and i fully understand that the company needs to make money and support them in doing so, however I just want one thing in the game that isnt timer based gameplay. Just 1 thing

Been dealing with this a lot lately, I just can’t keep up and because of this it just is not as fun.
I think a calendar event would come in a Christmas event or a dml birthday event or for new players.
I love this video. These are exactly my thoughts on this whole mess of events, it's just a bit ridiculous. I've seriously considered deleting it recently, but I feel I've invested so much time into DML and its community that I can't - but it really does feel like a chore rather than a game at this point :/
The main reason i play DML personally now is because of the community and i also feel like i would have wasted my time by leaving now. New events are fun for the first hour but after that they just feel sort of... bland. And thats happened for just about every event in DML I've ever played. The dragons are kewl and the game has gotten much more content over the years, thats undeniable but i feel theres a way to do something with the game that doesnt feel so... tedious all the time

I've been well burnt out since last year! It got to the point I was just skipping events so I could keep working on my own in game strategies like getting my teams fed and leveled up. You can't really do that when events want you to stick a certain farming principle for said event. My dragons kept suffering more and more trying to keep up with the events. Then you have others in the game that give you a hard time about "why aren't doing the events.. you're gonna miss out on all the dragons and cool things to get". I try and tell em I'm burnt out I just want to play my game the way I want not around non stop events. And they look at me like I'm the weird one for not wanting to do the events. I was going to do the divine event as much as I could do, but then life stepped in and a family issue happened and I had to step away completely from the game and take care of my mum. So that just sealed it what was more important than some game. I recently logged in a week or two ago for like 10 minutes and it was worse than before lol multi events going and new additions, it only made me laugh and log right back out. Maybe in time I might come back if I have more time in my life to play. But at this point.. I'm cool with a long extended break. I don't feel I'm losing out on anything.

The last chest is really not worth 2000 if the dragon isn't guaranteed until after 15 times,I actually just go through the other chests and leave the final one,I do not care about it at all,It is incredibly not worth it.

The last chest in particular is extortionately high... they did say that changes were due to be coming soon in a new update so I hope it's quite a lot of difference instead of 100 or 200 less
I get more tokens from the other chests than opening the last one using - 2000 stepping stones. DML is such a greedy game... Dragonvale was never like this. (but on the flipside DV, it's dead) LOL
I completely agree with what ur saying. It’s just so ridiculous tbh it’s so hard to keep up with everything n I have time, n yet still I’m not able to complete most of the stuff on time because of the insane wait time or requirements. It’s a lot harder for me because I’m still working on leveling up my dragons, but the amount of resources that they need is out of this world n since my dragons aren’t as strong yet, I can only do a certain amount of battles in the dungeon before all my dragons get taken out, then it’s back to the ridiculous wait time 😒🤦🏽♀️ I love this game I love the number of unique dragons that it has, but I find some things nearly impossible to do, especially if ur at a disadvantage. Unless u spend all the money in the world, there’s no way of going further
That's so true mean.. When school comes up I'll have that AND my job like c'mon how am I suppose to win a dragon when I'm sleeping going to school and working and when I come back I have little time because I'm too tired to even do anything

Mighty Action X I wish I could do what you are but I’m always tempted to get new dragons, although I already have it as a different dragon. Eg.( typhoon instead of clownfish, same elements and stats).
@@silver7405 These offered dragons will either return as a dragon of the week or a prize on an easier event. Don't put too much thought on the now since as long as you play you'll get them eventually.
I definetly agree.Before I used to play dml on my android tablet, and I played to a certan days and got the ragnarok dragon, I don't know how many days you need to get it, but every single day after that, every time I would claim my daily reward for logging in(not a calendar event) and after I press claim my tablet would shut down but not the kind that powers off. It would power off but instead of a black screen it would be a blue screen. It almost broke my tablet coz it would take me like an hour to power it back on. I had the autumn dragon and I was super happy, but then I had to delete the game. I downloaded dml on my brother's tablet and it did the exact same thing. I tried one more time and there was the calendar event with the garden dragon and when I claimed that day's reward it did the same,so I uninstalled the game but still continued to watch you and today I play it on my phone and it's not switching off(atleast) but I had to start all over again and I started a week ago so there's no chance for any zodiac dragons and I'm only lvl 23 so no clan events either. And i'm also trying to get the ice cream dragon from funny feathures but there's only 2 days left and im stuck on lvl 8 and there's still no guarantee that if I finish the event I'm actually going to breed him and the hornbill dragon takes 1 day to watch so I would only have a day to try to breed the ice cream dragon which I'm really disappointed about coz he's one of my favourite dragons in the game.I totally agree with your opinion. And I can also say bye to the endless dungeon coz my highest lvl dragons are smoke dragon,fire,tribal and they're all lvl 18 with one enchantment star.I wish they'd bring another calendar event coz once I went abroad for a week with no wifi and when I came back I still finished the calendar event. I expect more from dml though. And im not gonna login every 6hrs for a stupid reset or something. I login when I remember and honestly I don't even know why I'm even playing dml.sorry it's so long btw.
Its unfortunate some of the technical issues like this keep appearing. During one of the divine events my androie dml just would not work. For an entire 2 weeks of the divine event i couldnt even access the game. After that point, i really dont touch my android account very often. Even though it works now it just left a very... sour(?) taste in my mouth and i havent really felt motivated to play on it since.
Even if it doesnt make complete sense at first, having these problems happen consistently truly destroys player morale for some people so i understand what you mean
I have been playing DML a little over 4 years, sometimes I go thru phases of playing a ton, but then I forget, and miss sooo many events and dragons and opportunities.. and I always hate because then I’ll see so many players with literately hundreds of dragons and I only have 100 something, it sucks cuz I know I would’ve done better if I didn’t skip out all the time. I’m also a free player so this makes it even harder, not to mention that since I’ve missed so much I have no clue how to use most of the relevant features. Long rant but any tips?:(
You are right quacks. It is really too much of everything. It consumes too much time and gems. But nobody is having too much time for the time limited events. So you are ultimately left with no choice rather than skipping the time with the help of gems. But if you are not having so much gems then you are left with no choice but to buy them. So ultimately this game is made for free and rich people. I used to complete limited time events so quickly before no matter whether they are divine evens, boss challenges, happy dragons, etc. But now I have reduced my time for playing this game because i have a lot of work to do in spite of just playing this game

I feel the same way. I've only been playing a year and I'm already burned out. I have a clan but I'm thinking about quiting the game. When I first started they had the hatching event where I was able to get the perfume dragon by buying fire dragons and hatching them to keep my level up. Now it's impossible to do that type of event. They just need to focus on making the game playable and fun. The game has so many bugs and glitches that they need to focus on fixing problems over adding new events and dragons.
Mary Sherrill same. I’ve got so much progress, and I’m also looking at dml going on it’s downward spiral. Idk... I just don’t feel respected as a player ever. Everything rng in this game feels like crap when nothing works out for you. It is very painful to see everything fail when you realise things be managed so much better.
You mentioned games that have events that are there for a month or so, and take only a couple days to complete. Does anyone have any recommendations for games like that? I love DML, but I realized it's taking a lot of my time and I'm not even going to complete the events...
Honestly? A grand majority of the most popular games on twitch that are online. LoL, Overwatch, Hearthstone, Paladins are the main examples I give because i played them a lot in the past and liked that their special events had small tasks to do but didnt take anywhere near as much time as dml to complete. Pokemon TCG, MTG, im naming a lot of card games but these are all games where if youre skilled, you can complete special weekly quests etc in a few hours. Some also have daily quests, but you can do these at ANY time of day. So instead of being forced on every 4 hours for 10 days, you log in at your free will to do it
This comes to a point where I want at least ONE divine dragon, but I can’t because the events require consistent log in and I have school, piano practice, tennis, I have to EAT, SLEEP, have a social life, do homework and LIVE. That’s not to hard to understand.
We got the Hypnos dragon and Erlang Shen divines from calendar events in the past and this was perfect for someone like you that likes the game but might not have a great deal of time to invest every day. I want these calendar events back or something similar because i completely understand that sometimes you want to be involved in a game but might not have a lot of time. You still deserve the chance to win something

Dml events sucks except for calendar events because it forces to be dumb and gullible for making you spend millions of dollars and what is the point of having no sleep just to get rare or epics I wish dml made events more inclusive to all players and made them 10% more easier.
I have always wanted the events to be a lot easier than they are already, if they were I wouldnt mind them throwing out so many at once. Many players feel like if they keep missing limited time dragons they'll be put very far behind because some of these limited time dragons are used in OTHER events and other parts of the game

I didn't even bother with Funny Feathers event. I got to stage 4 by just getting on every 6 hours. It gives a dragon i already own witch is slightly a waste to me. They could easily offer dragons that people don't have by using a code to make it a dragon someone doesn't have. So the dragon could be different for each player but instead they just want money. So i gave up on funny feathers since there just to many other events going on at once. I barely even done anything in emerald clan event because of this as well. Every free to play game i play goes from being fun for everyone to pay to win tactics because game devs always want more money. Then it just makes more people quit because they are to busy to try.
Then when it comes to castle events i don't feel the need to level past 30 on my dragons because the breeding events are to much. So i been at level 30 for all my dragons for the past 2 years just so i can do solo events and stuff.

Seriously they could at least wait a week between castle events/solo events/dungeons. ~...~ its rough. 6h resets are fine, but when they make us login every 30 mins, its not nice. And events on events on events is just bad. Ah and the endless dungeons are so hard, because the dungeon aren't really scaled so good. Why not have an event where we have endless time. I literally tried to breed the dotm every day for 19 days before i got it. Luckily, i already got all the dotw so far, and it sux. I literally came back every time when breeding timers were done

Progress is slow but I enjoy myself and my slow pace.
I just play for 15 to 20 mins I do botomless dungeon and then breed dragon collect money spend it on training and food then I play after 5 hrs for botomless dungeon and in night not play becoz I have to sleep too
agree with everything in this video. unless it's during a divine event I refuse to do any solo events any more. just to annoying and tedious. what makes all of this even worse though is that they seem to expect people to just pay money on gems and stuff for this game but yet they won't put the effort into making the game worth paying for. ignore for a moment how the events and stuff work I don't know what it's like on pc but on mobile this games crashing issues are horrendous and its not just my device because everyone I've talked to in game has the exact same issue. not only that but doing certain things always make the game lag. then take into account that sometimes you have stuff happen like what happened around two months ago I think where kindle and Samsung players couldn't log on for five days. it's just shameful gameloft. so the game is just bad mechanically speaking add on top of that the poor execution of events and it seems like they want you to stop playing. honestly only reason I still play and compete in events seriously is because I've made good friends on this game that I simply don't want to lose contact with. if it weren't for them I wouldn't be playing. thanks for the video quackalakes. :)
There are indeed many, many very game breaking issues that seem to occur too frequently in the game. Right now we have a severely game breaking set kf dungeon bugs... ones that make dragons invincible etc... bugs will almost always end up cropping up in every video game, no matter how good the QA testing is, but there are a LOT of issues that crop up for DML for every new event. There may be a way to reduce the amount of bugs that get through but i dont work for GL and i dont know what exactly that would need to change to fix these issues quickee
quackalakes yeah you make good points. all I'm sayin is if whoever's in charge of dml at gameloft really cared about their customers they'd work more on making sure the game works mechanically well. seriously I've been playing a whole year now (just got my one year anniversary badge a day or two ago) and THIS game is still ad bad about crashing as it was when I started playing. btw thanks for responding BEEN watching you a year mow and the videos are super helpful, :)
quackalakes also I wanted to ask what exactly are the bugs with the dungeon. I'm not entirely sure what they are. I've heard something about the purple chest being bugged some how but don't really know for sure what any of the bugs are.
I played dml for like year and a half for this account I now have 300 Dragon and I didn't spend any money not even a small amount of money but it's need efforts that the regular human can't do it I hope we have like week to try and breed the shop dragons because I didn't get them all until now
Yep, you can achieve almost everything in game without spending a penny! But a lot of the things that you achieve for free are so very difficult to keep doing week after week after week. The shop dragons took forever to breed originally, I can't even begin to imagine how much more complicated it is to breed them all now while trying to go for limited time dragons too lol

I really like dml and spend a lot of my time playing it but I'm really thinking to uninstall the game because I'm getting addict, sleeping the half that I have to and it's not worth at all, I'm not getting the feel of "mission complete" in the end of the day. The dml team are trying to maintain us the most time as they can in the game, but are not thinking in the health of players, unfortunately turning the game completely pay to win and not able to have real fun. That's a casual game and I'm getting burnout more than any competitive one.

I’m sorry, but I have like 40 friends in the game and at least 30 of them haven’t even logged in for over 45 days. And this funny feathers events is a literal copy paste of the berry buds. I see why people are leaving now just going off that
Many of the DML events are copy pastes of previous iterations of the same event type. This is never ideal becayse it gets bland, but i could understand it if the intent was to give old dragons to newer players, but thats not what the repeat events are. Theyre repeat events with brand new, cool dragons in them.
Its also true that the player retention DML isnt high. It isnt for a grand majority of mobile games due to these tedious timer structures
quackalakes I know everything feels so sad and dead because I have no one to interact with, and I ask myself why the game devs are trying to screw their game because it feels like it. Same DD, solo events, boss challenges and clan events. I only tolerate castle events, because they have different and interesting layouts. Get meched was a disgusting excuse of a castle events.
I usually peak at 45 kills in the dungeon with the boosts, but all that effort goes down the drain for piss pool rewards. I swear, I open the purple chest, and see 375k food in it again, I will never do the dungeon again.
