This is my main reason of my organic love for Obi. When pension and gratuities for ex-political office holders was announced, Peter Obi was the only one that rejected the offer.
This is why we voted for Obi, the only frugal, transparent, empathetic and selfless ex governor. Those who voted for tribe and religion are getting what they ordered. When Obi was asking where they buy bread cheaper in the north or west nobody had an answer. You can only prolong or delay the inevitable, Obi has become the conscience and voice of the opposition and the poor masses, Obiism has come to stay and the movement can't br extinguished and would only keep growing. For the first time we have somebody that inspire the true patriots and citizenry to get involved and hold the leaders to accountability. We have a president who refused to address the press or deny any allegations or feel the need to speak the common man's language or feel their pulse physically, only Obi was humble enough to visit the camps after the floods. Obi president or not had made his impact which has changed the course of politics in this country forever. Obidients would always be sought and relevant in future political calculations

When you see some Nigerians supporting this Tinubu and his APC partners, I begin to wonder if they're truly humans. They will still go ahead to support them, even if fuel is 5k, dollar 20k per dollar, student loan without details, over 114% increase of salaries for politicians. Even if people are hungry, dying and crying, they will still support Tinubu and APC. Even if Buhari comes back again, they will still support him. There is something fundamentally wrong with Nigerians. It is really disturbing

It is called a defeated mind. You often see it under feudal systems. Where there are overlords and subjects/serfs. A defeated mind (in critical mass) is usually brought on by lack of good education, bad nutrition (the brain doesn't work well when you're malnourished), and bad moral compass.
The ones closer to the overlords benefit financially and the ones that aren't close hope to be.
So you get slaves instead of citizens and sychophants instead of a consious populace.
It's the stockholm effect at play. They just have to keep supporting and praising their oppressors with the use of the ethnic/religious card

I always love listening to Dele Farotimi.These 2 people interviewed today,spoke the heart of the masses.
There are several Nigerians above age 60 who cannot run around any more and did not have any opportunity to go to school. So no salaries and no pension. Does anyone ever think of how this people feed? Even down to local govt level,this people have no face and no voice. The long distance relation of theirs who escaped to foreign countries doing menial jobs cannot even enjoy the pay.Alot of the money goes back home to feed families and friends! There is a price to pay by just being a Nigerian.
