Rose I’m so proud of you. As a mom and educator, one of the things I look at is whether parents get onto their children’s level to speak to them. It’s such a small thing but means so much. I’ve seen both of y’all do it before but I keep forgetting to mention it. Y’all are both doing such a great job.

I am sorry to hear you have had such a bad experience & that is has negatively affected you so much.
Not to boast but to share positivity, I had a very good childhood with both loving parents & a loving grandma who lived with us. I have a close relationship today (minus my late grandma) including with my sister.
I think social media can make the world seem worse than it is. I see people complaining about things, or asking for advice but those who are happy don't need to do that, so tend not to share (as I said I don't want to come off as boastful so usualy stay quiet.)
I don't know if you already do, but I strongly recommend you follow some accounts focused on posiativity. There is one called the "good news movement" which helps people restore their faith in humanity.

It's cool. I was just feeling the same thing. My wife and I are going through a divorce right now for this exact reason. It's hard, but I want to have a family someday too. (She doesn't want kids.) Watching this made my heart hurt a bit. I hope we can both find what we're looking for.
