I'm so happy about the sink holes and the monster rapping itself around a rock archway. I've be asking since before Iceborne for more environmental traps and interactions, not just for us to use but also ones the monsters take advantage of.
pretty sure hype has peop0le blind, that's a flying wyvern. it only has 2 leg and 2 wings, not gore's/shagaru's 4 legs and 2 wings. This thing looks like an early concept art of zinoge when he was a flying wyvern. It may even use the tigrex skeleton, but it can also fly so more like barioth. 7:19 exhibit A, 7:25 exhibit B. it's been since MH3, last time we got a new sudo wyvern with barioth and gigginox. variant and subspecies are never very clearly missing a couple limbs, furious rajang is the only one and that's just the tail not 2 legs.
funny enough, this is the only video i found that addresses the limb count. Thor Magala debunked.

Can you imagine how hard/long it would be to count on paintballs instead of scoutflies or other tracking methods considering the elevation that 5th gen introduced? I am a vet since Monster Hunter G and I gotta tell you... getting lost and exploring might be fun to some people but the majority would ragequit before finding monsters if current tracking mechanics were discarded completely.
If paintballs do make a comeback imo they have to provide extra quirks to make them viable. Say a buff for the hunter or debuff for the monster. They would obviously be useful for monsters that use stealth as a gimmick like Chameleos, Lucent Nargacuga and the Malfestio subspecies.
Additionally they should let us forgo snooping for tracks and grant us extra points for tracking even if it is temporary for the same quest.
I have more ideas but lets leave it at that. Sorry for the essay.
