Each small circle on the outside is +1, and those on the inside are -1 (or vice versa). Add the first number to the second one in each row. Then, we have: First row: +3 - 4 = -1 = 1 circle inside. Second row: +3 + 1 = +4 = 4 circles outside. Bottom row: +6 - 4 = +2 = 2 small circles outside.
its the color that counts. f is a bit more darker blue which doesnt fit the pattern if u look at the corners of the image. its more lighter blue, so A is the correct answer
Hello, it seems to me that this test is not a test that can measure the IQ, but you can certainly know that if you have asked all the correct questions in the given time (or faster) and you do not practice the IQ test, you will probably enter Mensa. A test on the internet is that. It does not measure your capacity for abstraction and resolution.
Just think that the test could not detect people at the +99% percentile (135 IQ in SD15) if you meet the requirements of not training in problems of the type, because in a more realistic test, you will most likely not adapt by mechanizing the thought. I'm mexican, sorry for my bad english.
now the one from the thumb-nail goes with solution < D >... ...what probably is no coincidence that I stumbled across similar to the one, where the solution was < A > 23... Le p'tit Daniel, who got the inclination to not being amused with himself when wrong on such visual logicals, but since he runs an average of 8 out of 10 approximately he can stay largely at ease with respect to that...
In test 17, I guessed the answer was diamonds but the rule I used seems not to apply to one of the original boxes. The rule I used was to have one of each shape per edge row and column. Except that would require the bottom centre box to contain circles not crosses. Either the drawing is inconsistent or there is another pattern that I am not seeing. Can anybody help?
Looking at the middle picture, the bottom right corner is a diamond shape, corresponding to the bottom right of the nine-square grid, which is also a diamond shape.
We look at the middle shape, it has two circles, three crosses, and three diamonds, because we have two circles in this shape, we should have two circles in the other two shapes as well. Because we had three crosses in the middle shape, we should have three shapes in the adjacent shapes, each of which has two crosses. It is the turn of the diamond, because we have three of them in the middle shape, we should have three shapes with diamonds in the adjacent shapes. And the only option that has this is option A.
It tests for something called g-factor or general intelligence. I'm assuming they want to see if she has the ability to maintain her standing academically using basic pattern recognition.
its the fundamental skill/intellectual ability of pattern recognition and logical reasoning. With these skills at a advance level, your daughter can easily solve problems from an easy level to an extremely mathematical level. People who perform poorly on these kind of assessments are said to possess lower iq than most and because of that have poor academic results, slow brain processing speed, memory, problem solving and communication.
If you see the top right diagonal you'll find that the answer contains a cap at the top and it is a completely elongated and extended figure. If you look at the top left diagonals you'll notice that the shape has to be a twisted arrow pointing to the left. That's how you get the answer.
Look this horizontaly, and you will find that first left corner has 3 figures, 2. On the right has 5 and third on the right has 4 squares. (every line has 3,4,5 but differently placed.) - and we miss number 3.(that leaves us with answer D or F) after that, look at figures for example triangles, you will see that there are 2 pictures of Triangles (on normal and second rotated) - 1. And 7. Pic. Then, when you have concluded that there are always 2 pictures of same kind-one normal and second rotated, you conclude out of answers D and F(this is rotated 2.pic),that D is correct.
This is how I solved. First of all the location of circles on the hexagon doesn't matter, it only matters if the circles are on the inside or outside of the hexagon. Next you can think of the circles on the outside of the hexagon as negative numbers and the circles on the inside as positive numbers. Now you combine the circles from column 1 with column 2 to get the number of circles in column 3. If there are more outside circles than inside, the remainder of circles will be on the outside and vice versa. If you combine outside circles with outside circles you add them, if you combine inside circles with inside circles you add them. If you combine outside with inside you subtract. Hope that helped. :)
the circles on the outside are positive numbers and the ones on the inside are negative, So for the first line it would look like this: 3 + (-4) = -1 (The circles are numbers)
That test is not bad, but I think you should put the rarity or the percentile (percentage to which it is "higher"). P.D: I don't think the test measures a percentile higher than 99 and I don't know how to write "postdata" in english, I'm mexican. +28 correct answers is a percentile 97.8? I'm not sure
If we overlap the first image with the second image in each row we will notice that the lines that overlap with one another do not appear in the third image. For example when the rightmost vertical line in row 1 column 1 and row 1 column 2 overlap that same line disappears in row 1 column 3. We can also observe that when blank spaces overlap with lines in the first two images a line appears in the third image. For example when the leftmost horizontal line in row 2 column overlaps with the blank space in row 2 column 2, a line appears in the previous position of the blank in row 2 column 3.
Oh, so basically it's a left to right kind of pattern. The grid is arranged something like this: A B C D E F G H I Imagine the shape in image A go over the shape in image B. Now, erase the lines that overlapped. If you do so, you will get shape C. ______ | | | |------------- | + | | = | | |________| |________
First search for object which are used twice and eliminate them. Then you are left with B and C. Now look at those objects which repeat. One copy has bottom line(or top) and second does not have it. We have one picture in the first left corner which doesnt have line so we take answer C. Which has bottom line.

First of all the location of circles on the hexagon doesn't matter, it only matters if the circles are on the inside or outside of the hexagon.
Next you can think of the circles on the outside of the hexagon as negative numbers and the circles on the inside as positive numbers.

Subtract outer from inner and add inner and outer.
the circles on the outside are positive numbers and the ones on the inside are negative,
So for the first line it would look like this:
