They remind me of my 2 cockatiels whenever my female does something she isn't supposed to and my male just stands next to her with heart shaped wings and excitedly watches her. 😂
I heard decades ago that birds do not have the taste receptors for the spicy chemical in peppers. The article was about a theory that the wild pepper plants evolved to have their seeds spread by birds. So the fruit evolved to repel mammals but attract birds.
Not true, my birb collapsed and fainted once she tasted spicy curry on her own curiosity for the first time, and I had to give her an emergency mini CPR. But yeah, then thereafter, she liked the spiciy curry forever more. I couldn't deny her freedom to fly indoor and to pick any food she loved to have. She reached more than 8-years by age.
@@mitsudrei I specified hot peppers, which have capsaicin. The spices in a curry are very different. If your bird cannot eat a raw jalapeño, then that proves that not all birds can eat hot peppers. This may only apply to bird species which co-evolved with hot peppers here in the Americas.
@@ninalehman9054 Correct, seems Jalapeno is not too spicy. The one that my birb-daughter ate was a type of Asian red chilli, and guess what, it is super turbo-hot. But, after experiencing the spicy shock, she even liked it. Gosh, it was unbelievable.
The cutest ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Chop 'em up! They love the seeds too 😊
Peppers are good for them 😊

She Mlems the pepper, as he listens to you sing! 😁
