I have heard many different candidates discussed in the last few days after the firing of OC Bobby Slovik, however no one has mentioned Byron Leftwich. Leftwich, was a former college QB with Marshall and played in the NFL, for 9-10 seasons, then coaching as a OC and ultimately winning a super-bowl with Tom Brady as his QB. I think that this gentleman could be a great asset to the team, by his experience in the league, as a player and a coach and understanding, how to develop a young QB with all the potential that Stroud has I believe he would benefit from working with Leftwich.
The criteria I'm interested in a) That's aggressive and is known for scoring in the red zone. b) understands and knows how to call the correct pass protections and schemes to get individuals open. c) Someone that has imagination, not trick plays but different plays to keep the defenses on their toes. d) A OC that can adjust to changes on the fly that can design 60 minutes of football and not just 30 minutes.
Everyone mentioned(with the exception of Mike McArthy seems ok. Im just very happy that Caserio and Demeco are on the same page as far as needs go and am confident we'll have a better team on the field next year.
Who is Jeff Nixon???? WT heck! Wassup fellas! Go Texans! Wassup sarge and john! I miss Coty Malik Davis! Texans Nation stand up!!!
😂😂😂 sarge I just want the right person for the job I don’t want them to rush anything
We just need to score some points good morning yall
If you can tell me what QB Chip Kelly has helped or helped produce then by all means hire him but it’s a no for me just like you said we need a innovative offense not some rebrand from another team or coach
The 2025 draft is deep with RB’s. Not so much for interior o linemen. But the Texans can convert some Tackles to interior Olinemen with players in this draft with good coaching.
Byron Leftwich should be the OC for the Texans. I don't know what the homey Big Sarge has against him. But his credentials stand out. 1) Played QB his whole life (Slowik never played QB EVER), 2) 1st Draft pick, 3) Won Super Bowl as a backup (Steelers), 4) Won Super Bowl as a OC (Tampa), 5) Had number 1 & 2 in passing yards during his four years as OC in Tampa. We praised Bobby Slowik, who never played QB in college or pros, but why are we not considering someone with REAL credentials again???? Asking for a friend...
You really trying to bring in a guy who got fired and hasn’t even coached in more than 2 yrs. He tried to flex power he didn’t have. Why would any coach bring in someone like that ? Notice not 1 team has hired him in multiple yrs
He'll Naw!!!
@marcomier8716 May not have coached in 2 yrs but does winning Superbowl count or naw?
@ you tell me Nick Caserío has 6 SBs does that mean people haven’t wanted him fired ? Slowik went to SBs too he didn’t get it done. Leftwich was basically blackballed for a reason. You tell me who has even interviewed him in the last 2 yrs ?
@ Slowik never played QB EVER. How does he help CJ Stroud??? Laughable. Leftwich has played QB at the highest level, won a SB as a player, and a SB as an OC. Cut the bullsh!t out. Slowik was a walk-on WR. He's ok, but not qualified clearly! Leftwich can get it done!
Byron Leftwich is available
Just get somebody that can handle our offense
Ime udoko for OC 😂
The team would be tuffer
@ Ong they would
LFG!!!!!!
Nick Caley will be the next offensive coordinator
Texans will pick Nick Caley for OC. CJ wants the Rams offense brought in. Chip Kelly is just a distraction the front office is letting everyone run with.
Jeff Nixon is X friends with CJ and a handful of other Texans players. Do they have a connection?
Sight him already pair him CJ STROUD AirRaid Time
Hmm mIght be on to something
Why would cliff leave a better situation with a better Qb to come here and get scapegoated when CJ doesn’t perform
Byron Leftwich coach a Team with the GOAT and had a few weapons
Get me a Sean McVay coordinator
Byron Leftwich for OC
I agree
Need somebody that can handle our weapons on offense
How much metchie paying you sarge 😂 bro will ride or die for that man he ain’t did nothing in the league and he gets mentioned EVERY SINGLE VIDEO yall make 😂😂😂 it cracks me up
Exactly! Dameon Peirce is an excellent player also.
What about Byron Leftwick
I agree
WHAT ABOUT NIXONS HORRIBLE RUSHING OFFENSIVE NUMERS AS A PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE WHO PLAYED RUNNING BACK BUT YET BROS RUSHING OFFENSE IS HORRIBLE WE CANT ONLY PASS THE BALL
No matter who is the coach they need to get rid of these soft offensive linemen and trade tunsil for draft picks and bring in some Philly type of players !because Texans soft on the offensive line which was proven last season in Baltimore Ravens playoff game
Soft??? What are you talking about? Yes they gave up way can get beat on the snap but they aren't soft. I will agree that I believe that Tunsil is a part of the Bill O'Brien curse and I'd like to see him traded because he's got bad ju ju.
Truth. @@terrymd3293
Rooney rule
Texans can only cut Denice Autry next year. Texans can’t cut Schultz or any of their offensive linemen 🤦🏾♂️
This is not true…
Steal of the draft Harold Fanin Jr.
The downfall this season for CJ Stroud was taking Amber Rose home from the Travis Scott softball game. 😆
They have to interview 2 minorities candidates before hiring chip kelly
Why would Chip Kelly leave NCAA? Especially for the same job title. Doesn't make much sense unless he is just looking for a pay day and honestly not sure we'd be willing to pay him much more
Need somebody that can handle our weapons on offense
