What I especially love about him is that it makes you question what type of man Mohg was BEFORE he got Miquelested. Ainsbach is a fairly pleasant man to be around despite being associated with an Omen that deals with blood prowess. I doubt Ains would be so loyal to someone who was a jerk like, say, Godrick. It’s possible that, despite forming a blood cult, Mohg was actually a chill dude. Questionable powers, but favorable morals.
Maybe Ansbach wasnt always this cool-headed wise old man. I imagine he was much more furious/ferocious in His Younger days. Kinda Like His scythe and His Special bloodflame incantation make it seem iirc. Otherwise i cant really think of him as a follower of mogh.
@@Billythetoaster2004 mother of truth is not a particularly evil entity she simply wants blood, nothing more nothing less, it can be your own blood or someone else's. and mogh also did one other pretty neat thing, the Albinaurics that we see in his palace are not actually in a bad spot at all, all Albinaurics (even the big headed ones) have an issue with their blood as it is seemingly made of mercury which pools in their legs which not only makes them unable to use their legs (for the OG's and the newer ones have issues of their own) and in turn making them live short and stunted lives. The albinaurics in the mogh palace actually had thier mercury blood swapped out for regular ol' blood making it so that they don't have the same issue any longer. So yeah mogh wasn't THAT bad a guy (still was no good guy based on the white masks and all but hey)
His Illusion under sewer - he must created it to guard the entrance to Three Fingers - prevented frenzy flame to get out, like his brother Morgott. He let the albinauric settle in his palace. He didn't waged any war againts his other brothers and sisters.
We don't know the Mohg that Ansbach knew. The Mohg that wasn't mind controlled by his brother. Maybe that's the reason why we fight a illusion of him in the sewers before reaching the Three Fingers. Mohg grew up in that place and perhaps Marika requested that he prevent anyone from reaching the Three Fingers. It seemed that at some point in the past, Marika or Radigan released many of the Omen from their imprisonment and allowed them to join soldiers in combat, we see Morgott gladly serve. Maybe Mogh was a guardian sentinal who stopped anyone discovering the truth of the Three Fingers or Merchant victims. Keeping the dirty secrets of the golden order safe. We don't know when his heart was stolen by his brother Miqullia but it seemed to have been after he made communion with the Formless Mother outer god.
This is so beautifully made sir thank you so much. Ansbach is my favorite fromsoft npc of all time and that's saying a fair bit. The VA's performance deserves some serious recognition
Thank you so much for this. Exactly what I just spent 15 minutes searching for once I realized that by breaking the seal, I'd missed dialog. Posting this in hopes that the algo promotes your stuff and makes this easier to find.
your channel is a treasure, i'm so glad i found it!! i love to listen to npcs of fromsoft games from time to time, it helps to notice something new that i overlooked earlier. joining the count ymir waiting team, but honestly every choice is great. looking forward for next videos!
Yeah it's kinda sad missing them ingame. There's nothing like playing it yourself and I thought listening to RPGJeradXX talking you through the Quest just does not hit the same spot. That's what I'm trying to do here - as much as possible.
I finally beat Radahn with Ansbach as a summon cause he had my back and I delivered the final blow as I got stuck in the rock vortex and promptly died. I didn’t want to kiss Ansbach’s dialogue had he said anything at the end post Radahn’s death and all I saw were Ansbach’s and Thiollier’s corpses. Had I know this were the outcome, I never would’ve brought them along.
She seduce the hornsent by " becoming a true Saint" so she can trick them to take her to the Divine Gate and kill them all in a sacrifice to invoke the greater Will and become a true god

There is nothing in the files. So it's pretty safe to say - no. I don't even know why he dies even if you win and he survives the fight - same as Thiollier. There is something strange going on.
I think lore-wise, both of them are not able to survive the final battle, or even when we win the fight, they both reach their last breathing state anyway, as some movie like to use such cliche
Arghhhh fuk did i screw up i found the secret scroll but i don't see freya the gladiator chick, and no i did not attack her i recently just killed messmer
Ansbach's last words in the Radahn fight are just so good.
Everything about this NPC is so good. He is my favourite NPC in the DLC
He is actually the GOAT, him and Igon the best NPCs in the DLC easily
That last line of dialogue in Radahn fight is just perfect.

@@pn5705 Yep. A great leader normally brings great serveants under his rule. Mohg was probably much better before meeting Miquella.
Ansbach: my fighting days are far behind me.
*absolutely shreds Leda*
Ansbach might be the coolest npc in Elden Ring.
All of gaming possibly
FOR REAL, down to earth personality, wise asf and humble, unlike the stupid Gideon, awesome fashion, incantations and weapons, 10/10

If Mohg's House could recruit such a cool and level headed guy.
I now wonder what type of Demigod he was before Miquella got control of him.
Which is weird considering his bloodlust and his service to the mother of truth.

There is more dialogue. If you burn the tree and then return to Lida she explains she had to kill him
I do have two sections where she explains why she had to kill Hornsent and Ansbach respectively. At the end of each invasion segment.
Thanks. These videos are exactly what were missing!
