Another excellent video Brenton. I'm glad you showed that first run with the scalper at normal speed, to show how patient people need to be when scalping. It takes time and can give the engine governor a real workout! Ive always felt that too many UA-cam vid's show the scalping process at 20x speed which can fool viewers into thinking scalping is a relatively quick and easy job - which it ain't! Very informative video as always, mate. Thanks
Wow couldn’t believe the amount of thatch that came out of that, great results and I’m a massive plant dr fan, recon they have some of the best products on the market.
Thank you for your great content during your summer That kept me going trough the Norwegian winter. My lawn is getting ready in a week or two - FINALY! =)
Great looking renovation Brenton, many people would gasp and say you've killed your lawn but these reno's just improve everything. Just one little detail I noticed, your ride ons are missing their stubby holders lol 😂
plant doctor products are great let’s hope bush ranger is listening to potential re model mower i use there brush cutters and they are faultless and bulletproof
Love your work, end of season renos are my favourite over here in the west. I often too have the game plan to do this and that but end up going full in 🤣 I love how you touched on bench hoc vs actual hoc. So many people believe they are mowing at those lower heights 6,7,8,10mm but actually are not. Great work as always 👍
I was actually a little shocked myself at the variation between bench and actual in my own lawn. I wouldn’t have thought it would have been that bad lol
The old boy loves abit work aye 🤙 probably just wanted to get out of the house😂 looks bloody good and there is nothing better then modifying the lawn mowers im changing the blade on my push mower because the disc with the 4 replacement blades sucks grass gets stuck then drops down and trys to kill the engine all the time
Loved the video mate. I just did a huge Tiftuf reno at a local uni. I used the Bushranger mower i have to get the height down and then used the larger self propelled model with the catcher to pick up the debris. They are fantastic mowers. Next time i am your way i will touch base as i would love to stop in again and see that spacer system you have on yours. Jack just brought his first house in Cessnock so he is a bit closer to you.
That was a really well made video, explained very well & covering a fair amount of information. Fantastic to see Dad back in a video aswell. A bit of a look at that spacer, could be a good thing, prior to spring time. Your recovery is amazing, well done.
@theaussielawn i totally understand what you are saying there, might be a good option, for a quality machine shop, to make some up the proper way & have them as a fitable accessory.
That recovery is insane!! I did the exact same thing last week, started off as a regular mow, next thing i was down to dirt. Should be set for a good winter of mowing in WA now 👌
Great Work Mate! The only issue I have is that if you were a true professional you’d know that unless you use at least 22 different pieces of machinery you’re just not doing right. The neighbours are going to be embarrassed to live next door ;)
could star another lawn with all that material lol I just want a tiny bit for collection. not asking for it , ok. I'm in the us lol. I need to find someone here to ship me a plug.
Great video BK! Isn't it always the way haha, just a quick scalp knock the top off it, next minute it's down to dirt hahaha. I notice you said the mower is better than the victa now? What makes you say that?
another great video brenton, loving the content and care in the videos.
Thank you 🤩
Loving the longer / more detailed vid mate 👍
Thanks for the feedback. I was wondering if people prefer longer or shorter
i am always amazed at the sheer volume of thatch/grass that this pulls out of the lawn
It’s crazy hey
Another excellent video Brenton.

Thanks mate you make a valid point that is easily over looked. It does take time and you do need to be patient
I look forward to this every Saturday morning. Thank you so much for sharing.
Most welcome 😎
I dont know how the algorithm found your channel. Love your work & subscribed.
Haha thanks mate thanks for the sub
Wow couldn’t believe the amount of thatch that came out of that, great results and I’m a massive plant dr fan, recon they have some of the best products on the market.
Thanks mate 👍 yeah PD stuff goes good

I bet your pumped for your summer 🌺. I hope you enjoy time on the lawn
Jesus 9 days later and already looking like that. Quality stuff mate well done. Certainly didnt need the 5 weeks previously mentioned
You should see it now. It’s looking mint
Quality episode Brent
Thanks mate

It’s actually under a flip up cover 😜
@@theaussielawn Hope it's insulated lol 😉

I’ll send them a link on Monday. Hopefully they don’t get annoyed 🤔
9 days and it’s awesome again great vid worth the wait, cheers Brenton
Thanks mate.

Yeah mum might have been nagging him too much haha 🤫 😂

Ahh congrats to him mate. Well done it’s not easy in todays climate to buy a home 🏠

I’m sorta hesitant to show it as I don’t want people to do it and get it wrong and get injured. It was very handy to have him help
@theaussielawn i totally understand what you are saying there, might be a good option, for a quality machine shop, to make some up the proper way & have them as a fitable accessory.
This is a very good guide to doing a lawn renovation and what it should look like, thanks Brenton!
I appreciate it thank you
I only have 220sqm (back n front) ….which alone feels a full time job 😂😂😂 you do a fantastic effort with your huge block mate!!!!!
It’s certainly a mammoth effort especially when you ad top dress to it haha 😛
Good to see you back on the right side of Australia.
And also good to see you playing late ish games with the lawns again
Cheers mate 👍
Wow, came back way faster than I thought it would. Awesome work 👍
Cheers mate
That recovery is insane!! I did the exact same thing last week, started off as a regular mow, next thing i was down to dirt. Should be set for a good winter of mowing in WA now 👌
Plus it should make spring renovations a little easier
Another wonderful video by a qualified professional.
Thanks 🙏
Your old man loves it!
Nice vid mate 👍🏻
Yeah he does hey 😂
Scotty 46 and scalpy mower action! Thanks mate, another top tier video 👍
Glad you like it mate
Well worth doing a Reno late in the season, my TT in winter is different and in a lot of respects better than it is in summer.
Yeah I see no issue with end of season HOC resets
yeap...Im still do height resets here in Brisbane but not time to do the sand top dress...too much constant rain
Crazy recovery ✅
Yeah it bounces back really quickly
Great Work Mate! The only issue I have is that if you were a true professional you’d know that unless you use at least 22 different pieces of machinery you’re just not doing right. The neighbours are going to be embarrassed to live next door ;)
Hahahaah
You could easily make that bush ranger better again by adjusting the rev limiter out a bit more..
Hi Brenton, Long time follower. Love your content. I was wondering of you know what type of tree are in front of your place on the council strip?
Sure do mate they are Cleveland select ornamental pear trees .
Elite as usual
Too kind mate
I had to use fipronil to get rid of a very bad cricket infestation, they alkmost kill my entire lawn weeds and all haha
Wow that’s an extreme infestation
Dont worry my "height reset" went the same way this autumn lol
Hahaha
looks like fun
Yeah it can be
Great vid mate
Thanks Luke
Can you show the Durban grass on the farm again?
💯 mate I will do an update before winter hits
Ok thx :)
Subsequently professionally made spacer….😉
Hahaha that bloody word
I’m having weed problems, any tips? Manual removal vs chemical? I’m in Victoria if that helps.
Ive got carpets in my house that aren't as nice as this grass 😂
hahaha
Where did you get the spacer from Brenton? I have the same scalper, but understand what you mean re height
A mate of mine made it for me .
@@theaussielawn Do you have any pictures of it before you installed it?
could star another lawn with all that material lol I just want a tiny bit for collection. not asking for it , ok. I'm in the us lol. I need to find someone here to ship me a plug.
I reckon you should be able to get a local plug fairly easily?
Great video BK! Isn't it always the way haha, just a quick scalp knock the top off it, next minute it's down to dirt hahaha. I notice you said the mower is better than the victa now? What makes you say that?
Bigger cut width , Ive got 3 potential scalp heights now too! Victa has one maybe 2
@@theaussielawn Ah nice! Well I could use a few parts off your victa if you ever get sick of it lying around Haha
You wont do a rye overseed :P
Not this season no .
How’s the new amarok?
Yeah it’s a good Ute. It’s only new to me I bought it 2nd hand as I missed having a Ute . Out with the Camry haha in with a dual cab 😂
